I am sad to see all of the negative comments here. No matter where you go you'll always find someone having a bad day a possibility taking out on you. I'm not going to judge the practice as a whole on what 1 or 2 people did. I love FCNE, staff in general is attentive and considerate. Getting labs done in bedford could be frustrating due to extensive wait times.

If you are seeking IVF treatments, patience is of the utmost importance. So if your lacking, cultivate it. I have had great experiences with Dr. Plante and Dr. Vitiello. Dr. Vitiello's bedside manner is second to none. She has made us feel like family from day one. A friend of mine recommended FCNE to me and I haven't regretted it.

I'm writing this with a heavy heart. Many of the staff @ FCNE have been professional and courteous. Unfortunately, the actions of a few have forced my hand. I'm very disappointed in FCNE at the current time. Earlier this year, FCNE withheld blood test results from my wife and I which resulted in panic and potential risk. While it turned out to be a false positive (due to an error, likely by their lab partners), all responsibility was put on my wife and me to get retested (at considerable expense) in order to resume treatment.

I am especially disappointed with our physician, who was especially condescending throughout the process. For such a delicate topic / process, some professional behavior would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, my concerns fell on deaf ears and the efforts of many professional nurses / staff were offset by FCNE's "blame the patient for our mistake" attitude. Would recommend seeking treatment elsewhere.

We have had an awful experience with FCNE. beyond the disorganization, poor communication, and at times impatient and hostile staff, we experienced acute discrimination as a queer couple seeking to build a family. because of this awful experience we met with another clinic at a public hospital. the experiences were like night and day. at FCNE we were left without a plan or coordination and little information on how to get the care we needed. we were milked for every dollar and treated like an inconvenience when we needed help. there were regular mistakes and oversights by the staff, and no follow up from management when concern were raised. at the new clinic we have already received more information and support and kindness in 20 min than we experienced in over a year with FCNE. everyone and especially if you are a queer family i would recommend to avoid this business.

I'm giving four stars because my husband and I just started on this journey. It can be very overwhelming with all the testing plus paperwork. Sometimes I wish I was lucky enough and just get pregnant naturally, but that's not our case of unexplained infertility (same diagnosed by 3 different specialists). Our Dr is Plante.she has been very supportive and has taken the time to explain every step of the way, we feel like we are getting closer to achieve our most precious dream.

Everyone has been very nice to us and understanding, they go through every process making sure we understand it and that they listen to our concerns. We are crossing our fingers that soon we can have the great news of becoming pregnant. I'm sorry for those with bad reviews, I can't share the same bad experience I wanted to give an update on our amazing journey.

We have 10 months old twin boys. Dr. Plante and her team contacted us to give them an update and were super happy that they were part of our dream coming true. Piece of advice, if you really want to become a parent and having issues, don't wait.take the first step and contact Fertility Center of New England

Wonderful experience for my wife and I, culminating with our beautiful baby boy born last month! After wasting time with another doctor in Boston at a large IVF center where we felt like a number, we immediately felt at seen and heard with Dr. Plante. She put us completely at ease with her calm demeanor. We did not feel rushed, we asked all the questions we wanted, and we were guided through how the entire process would work (medically, financially, and emotionally). I can't recommend them enough.

Dr. Vitiello was incredible. From our first appointment with her she listened to us, talked through options, and made us feel like we had someone in our corner. The nurses were wonderful too. I had a lot of questions and they were always quick to answer. Our sweet girl is eight months now and we are so thankful to Dr. Vitiello and everyone there for our miracle.

The good: I found the initial consultation with Dr. Hill very informative and friendly. I felt very comfortable proceeding with egg freezing after we spoke. Likewise, the nurse who called later that day was very friendly and explained exactly what to expect. During the stimulation, I had several lab and ultrasound appointments. There was one ultrasound lady who was amazing and luckily, she did the majority of my ultrasounds.

The nurse anesthetist during both of my retrievals was also wonderful. I ultimately went through two cycles. 17 eggs the first time, 14 the second, which I guess is decent. Although it did seem a little odd that I took significantly more medication the second time and got worse results. The Not-So-Good: Although the nurses followed up through the portal after each lab appointment, they didn't provide much detail regarding lab results.

In some cases, they didn't provide any info at all. The first day I was to start my medications the staff instructed me to take a drug that had not been prescribed. I called and told the nurse that this particular medication had not been ordered. She asked what medications I did have and called back a little later to tell me to take one of the other meds that the pharmacy sent.

This made me a bit uneasy as it seemed like they were perhaps changing my protocol because they prescribed the wrong meds. Similarly, when it was time for my trigger shot they told me to take a medication that had not been prescribed so I was told to take what the pharmacy had sent instead. In total, they ordered $1,375 dollars worth of medication that I didn't need/use.

The first round, they ordered 7 days worth of menopur even though I ended up not using any. For the second round, they ordered it again so I told them that I already had a 7 day supply (unexpired) from the previous round. They told me I would still need more so I got another 7 day supply. Of the 14 doses (which cost $89 EACH), I used 4. I also ended up with 5 leftover doses of Cetrotide, ($97 per dose).

If I were to do this again, I would absolutely not fill more than 5-7 days worth of medication up front, and then get refills every 2-3 days as needed. The Inexcusable After the first retrieval, performed by Dr Plante, they said I might have some cramping and that I could take ibuprofen if needed. That worked fine for the first and second day, but by the third day, I was in so much pain I honestly thought something had ruptured or that I had an infection.

I've had major surgery before and never experienced pain anywhere close to that level. The post-op instructions said to call if you were having uncontrolled pain, so I did. The nurse asked me if I was constipated (no) and then said my experience was completely "normal". This did not seem right to me so I called my sister, who is an NP, and she told me to go to the emergency room. Thankfully, nothing was seriously wrong, other than some minor bleeding, and the doctor in the ER was much more sympathetic than the nurse at the clinic.

After that, I literally never heard from anyone again. I don't need much coddling, but I would have expected someone to at least follow up and told them as much in a strongly worded message. To his credit, Dr Hill did call after that to discuss my concerns. As a result of that experience, I asked to speak to the doctor about pain control before my second procedure.

I asked Dr. Weiss, the physician working that day, if he could prescribe something for me (literally the first time in my life asking for a prescription). He also told me that pain was normal and that "hopefully it will be better this time." That was not reassuring at all and after I persisted in my request, he eventually wrote a prescription for a 8 pills (which equates to a 1.5 day supply).

Side bar- when I took it to the pharmacy I was told that by law, that particular medication needed to be sent in electronically. All in all, I unfortunately can't recommend FCNE. The level of care and concern was noticeably different once my check cleared.

Very frustrating experience. We were basically told we'd get pregnant when it was our time, after not trying to prevent on our own for 10 months, and actively tracking and trying for 8 months. The doctor told us she would just be here for moral support as it would probably happen once they got involved (I don't feel morally supported in case you were wondering).

We had our first contact in early December, had a semen analysis late December. Still haven't been contacted for results despite me asking about them only to be told the doctor would reach out regarding them as they feel it's better for the doctor to share the results in person. I also requested the results be sent to a urologist thinking it would prompt someone to, I don't know, maybe have that doctor reach out. No, nothing.

I felt not listened to when I explained I didn't want to have costly tests done on me for no reason (as I had already been tested before) yet the desk nurse was told to contact me to schedule them anyways. It gave me the impression all they cared about was money. Fertility treatment is expensive, covid is going on, money is tight for everyone. Why would I want to spend money on unnecessary tests when I already have a confirmation of what the issue is and literally just need a doctor to sign off on recommended medications for my husband.

I wish I had read reviews before calling here. Would have saved me a lot of lost time. The whacked out thought process that getting a doctor involved will somehow magically make me get pregnant is insane, and here we are almost 3 cycles later and guess what, still not pregnant.

Since the first transaction I felt like nothing more than a checking account for FCNE and it continues all the way to the last. I felt a lack of compassion and a constant money grabbing mentality. The screening tests for surrogates were unnecessarily invasive before asking the just having questions or a simple health screen. They is just 1 small issue there. I would be giving 0 stars and giving a caution to anyone looking to start their family through Fertility Centers of New England!

Giving 3 stars to the doctors. I do not have any problem with them. But I would not go back to FCNE again because nurses make sure they give you hard time if you are not going for monitoring at one of their locations (monitoring will be closed by 7:30 AM. Yes, 7:30 in the morning). Once it happened that my results went to State lab and the lab wanted a call from FCNE office to release the results.

One of the nurses told me very rudely that they are very busy and they do not call for test results unless it is done at one of their locations. (They did not tell me this in the beginning. They said, I can get monitored near my home and can go to FCNE for egg retrievals and embryo transfers). So, this delayed my cycle by a month. I was extremely upset and thought of giving up my entire IVF process with them even though I had 3 embryos left. Then the doc who referred me to FCNE jumped in and got the situation under control. I hope they learn that Patient experience is equally important as doctor's competency.
