I've always had great care during my eye exams. At the eyeglasses sales department the best I've gotten is indifference. Slow service, spotty knowledge of the product and insurance coverage and the general feeling that they don't care. Before I've been told that they are "separate" then the eye doctors. Today I was told they are the same company. I won't be going back

This brings me no joy. I was a patient of this establishment for 10+ years. Between my wife and I thousands spent on eyeglasses. Knowing they were very pricy, we stayed loyal in the optical department because I built a relationship with the team and I felt comfortable. Always liked the Doctors that took care of us. First class all the way. I had to cancel an appointment a few weeks ago because I started a new job.

Yesterday (5/25/2022) I call to get an appoint. because my eye is giving me issues because I need my yearly dry eye plugs installed. They would not even schedule an appointment for me because I did not have the insurance information yet that goes into affect 6/1. I stated do not worry I will have insurance and when have you ever had an issue with me paying? look at my records.

Still sorry we cant schedule you. I called back today (5/26/2022) and still same response. I say hey, can you use my Affordable Health Care act insurance to use as a place holder until I get in? I was told no because they do not even take it. I will have to wait. Well my eye feels like sand got tossed in it from being dry. So I called Atwall. Took my info and said have the card when you come in and I see them the 1st week of June as a NEW patient and eye exam.

I explained the whole story and the women could not believe it. So much for any kind of loyalty. Not that I matter but, I know I will need Cataract surgery someday and they just lost that revenue, My wife's, future visits and eye glasses. Any kind of referral. Im done. All as I can say is WOW!

So back in 2018 I was diagnosed with Kertaconis and dr endel did an amazing job with my intact surgery everything is still looking wonderful. Last year 2021 I went for a routine check up and it was suggested I see the glass center for glasses and ended up spending a fortune in glasses with promises that no other place would have had my lenses. That was a lie. yesterday I went back and the staff were nice until the end of my appointment.

I had gone to say I wanted a copy of my updated percription and I was told I had to visit the optical department. This was when my visit went from 4 stars to 2 stars. I went to the person and said may I please have a copy of my prescription? They said sure or you can get you glasses here and I said no thank you. The person there continued to ask where I get my glasses from and continue to judge where I get my glasses from.

I mean I work in customer service and know also about commissions but this was no way to be treated or judged regardless of where and how I get my glasses next time when I go shopping for glasses ill just have them fax it because that was not worth it.

I do not usually write bad reviews but in this case I think it is warranted. I have had numerous eye surgeries at Fichte, Endle, Elmer over the years. Klaus Fichte did my first eye correction surgery.very nice job and everything went well! My cataract surgery not so well. My concern is that they have gone down hill in service. Once they are done with you ( I'm speaking of Endl) you are passed around to the newbies.

I needed to have my eyes looked at a couple of times a year. It is now going on two+ years. My appt. keeps getting cancelled due to Dr.'s leaving. I thought my appt. was good for today but cancelled again. No call, no email.nothing. Service stinks at best.

I'd been wearing glasses everyday of my life since I was 5 years old - I'm 41 now - and yesterday I got the Lasik eye surgery. While my eyesight was a little hazy yesterday - a routine occurrence after the procedure - I can see clearly today! From day one - from the initial consultation to the surgery and to today when I went back for the follow-up - everyone was very friendly and treated me as their first priority. Brian, the laser tech, took his time to walk me through every step of the process.

He was always compassionate about my concerns and cared about my experience going forward. Dr. Endl is great! He has an easy air, a quick wit, and a professional nature. He, Brian, and Kevin made me feel comfortable and taken-care-of through a process that could have otherwise freaked me out - I've always been terrified of things touching my eyes.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! I promise you won't be disappointed! Not only will you not need your cumbersome glasses or evasive slippery little contacts, but you'll have a good experience. What are you waiting for?

My wife and I both had lasik surgery at F, E& E Eyecare and I have never experienced a place with with such amazing customer service. From the minute we walked in there until the minute we left, we were taken care of and treated so well by all staff involved. I highly recommend this place.

My son had an eye exam at the pediatricians, and they were unsure about visual acuity and wanted a formal test. I scheduled him here. It is a rip off. They had to do a simple visual acuity using the chart, but they made a much bigger issue out of it. The visual acuity was fine, but then this Optometrist wanted eyes dilated for refraction. I reluctantly agreed.

Then he suggested that we should do a retinal scan as well. When I asked him why, he indicated that my out of pocket cost would not change as this would be picked up by insurance. So, get the unneeded procedure done so that the office can make money. I walked away. They are still sending me texts about the next annual checkup! Sorry. Vision is fine, and I am not interested in helping you with your expensive mortgage or whatever.

I have always just paid out-of-pocket for eye exams and glasses and the receptionist informed me that out-of-pocket was no longer permitted. Sounded bizarre.

I had my first procedure done way back in 2000 and things went well. Fast forward to now and my vision had finally gotten worse so I made a appointment to be evaluated again. This most recent experience was just all around bad. The staff who I dealt with were not helpful or polite. It really seemed like all they cared about was making the money and nothing else.

Well they got to keep my evaluation fee but that was it. When I had my first procedure done everyone was great and that is why I chose to return. After this last experience I would not recommend them to anyone. I would like to think that the health of my eyes would be more important than making as many dollars as fast as possible but that is no longer the case.

First and foremost, I would like to thank Brian for giving me tips as well as getting set up with my procedure. I also would like to thank Dr. Endl and his team with the PRK procedure I received on April 2nd. I am so happy with the end result and can't say enough about the professionalism of this company! Thank you!

Ethel at the front desk is very rude! I was there for an eye exam in late February for contacts before the shut down. I never received a call until July 14 from Brian stating my contacts had arrived. I explained to him that I couldn't pick them up until the beginning of August. When I arrived to pick them up they informed me that they were sent back.

They kept stating they had reopened up in May basically blaming me for not knowing their reopening schedule. I called the next day to get a reason why they were sent back if the contacts were "custom made" for me. I explained to Ethel that I had not received a call until July and she kept blaming me for not knowing they had opened up in May. She made a snide remark that they have thousands of patients that never come back to their office so that's why my contacts were sent back. The reason patients never come back to your office dear Ethel is because of people like you.

I wish I could give zero stars! Front desk staff is nothing but rude. Been a long time patient here & will never go back. Doctors and optical dept are great but their costumer service cares nothing about you, just money. Thanks for not caring one bit about my health and just filling your pockets. I'll go somewhere where I am appreciated. I've never had a problem paying any of my bills or copays, learn to treat the people that treat you well with more respect!

Dr. Elmer did my cataract surgery. He is one of the nicest most professional doctors I have ever met. I was greeted with enthusiasm, courtesy and encouragement at each and every appointment and visit. I traveled 2 hours each way, just to make sure my eye health would be in good hands. I have the utmost respect for this establishment and would recommend that anyone should go here first.

The office staff and other optomistrists at this location were just as courteous and professional. The surgery scheduling was flawless and easy to understand considering there were so many different appointments I needed for different things. Bottom line is they do these surgeries everyday and see hundreds of people. I trusted my eyes to them. I am an artist and now I have 20/20 in 2020. Lol Thank you Dr. Elmer and staff for everything! I'm so happy!

I have been a customer here for about 10 years and finally took the plunge and got the all Laser Lasik procedure done last month. You must first go in and get a consultation done, there is a fee for this but it was waived due to a promotion they were running for Christmas in July. It also gave a 20% discount. The procedure itself is really easy, you are only in the operating room for about 15 minutes total.

It is uncomfortable but not that bad. The first night you cannot see that well and your eyes are sensitive but it gets better each day. I would say by day 2 I was seeing pretty clearly. The total cost for the best all laser version that i got was about $3500, that was with the 20% discount. I also purchased the life long maintenance plan for an additional $300.

All in all the procedure was simple and not painful and I am glad I got it. The reason I am only giving 4 starts is there appointment times. They are often a bit behind which can be frustrating. I hate being brought in late to appointments then put in a chair to wait another 20/30 minutes for the doctor to show up. It happens pretty often otherwise I wouldn't mention it. But the I am seeing great and no more contacts/glasses.

I went in to purchase eyeglasses after i was told that i was not a suitable candidate for Lasik surgery since I work in front of a computer 8 hrs a day. Jeff in the Optical Department helped with my eyeglass order, and sold me the Chemistrie sunglasses without mentioning that there would be two magnets on my regular glasses. When I picked the glasses up two weeks later, I was very upset. Gordy explained that if I tried hard enough, I would see my nose, which I found to be an appeasing analogy.

He said to give the glasses a couple weeks to get used to which I've done, and if I'm still not happy then he'll make a pair of regular glasses w/out the magnets. He failed to say if I'd be on the hook for another 700.00 minus the sunglass part. I still hate them, and the magnets are not in my blind spot. I see them when I'm driving and working. Had i been told by Jeff that these magnets would be on the glasses, I never would have agreed to have the option of sunglasses.

The glasses are beautiful minus these stupid magnets. I called yesterday and spoke with Jeff, and besides saying sorry, he offered no remedy. So, I will tell everyone and anyone that asks me what these weird dots are on my glasses about the horrible experience and tell them never to get Chemistrie glasses and stay away from Fichte Endl.

Had Lasik Surgery in 2010. Every patients prognosis is different. It can last from 7 to 13 years, as the aging process of every persons eye is different. If you think you will have perfect vision forever you are not a good candidate for this procedure. My vision lasted for 9 years with great vision, will opt to get the surgery again once the money is saved.

It costs 1600-2100 per eye if you are eligible and rarely covered by insurance. It was worth it for me not having to worry about contacts or glasses. I just recently called and spoke with Debbie on the phone. She was very polite and knowledgeable and answered every question I had. I appreciate her friendliness and helpfulness. Every business needs a Debbie!

I got LASIK surgery on both eyes in March of 2014. My vision at first was 20/15. better than 20/20! It did go back to 20/20 (still SUPER impressive!) but they said it could get better if my eyes weren't so dry. That's been the only issue since I had the surgery. My eyes feel a little cloudy and sometimes eyedrops really don't do anything.

I may take them up on their suggestion of putting artificial tear ducts in to help with that. I've been recommending LASIK to anyone I know that wears glasses or contacts that I've come across within the last 4 years. one of which is my husband, he actually got it done a year after me! His vision is also still great, but he has the same dry eye problem.

My experience having LASIK was great! The office staff & assistants were very helpful in scheduling and letting me know what to expect in the weeks ahead. Dr Elmer performed my procedure. Him and his staff made me feel relaxed and confident throughout the 10 minute process. It's been about 6 weeks and my vision continues to improve. I'm between 20/20 & 20/15. No more contacts, glasses, just occasional drops.

These guys are good. I really do trust them with my son's eye care. He is 11 and has Down Syndrome and we have been seeing Dr Elmer since he was 1 year old. If my review were based solely on this aspect it would be a five. But. And this is a big but. Every time I schedule an appointment I get the earliest of the day 6 months in advance. And every single time I am here I wait an extra 30-90 (today is 90) minutes to be seen.

Not only is it problematic for school and work schedules, it is a challenge to keep a kid entertained while waiting for so long. I am beside myself with anxiety for his patience to wait this long. I am frustrated that I tell work I can be in 2 hours after my scheduled appointment to be wrong. I would give them a 1 Star in customer scheduling and service. This is severely problematic. Average it out for a 3. Skewed more toward a 2.

Absolutely horrible experience. I waited over an hour for just a routine eye exam. I was told my eye exam would be $10 and for contacts it would be an additional $40. I said I just needed the eyeglass exam as I already had a current contact lens prescription and I paid the $10 for just the eye exam. After the appointment (going on two hours at this point) I was chased out to the parking lot saying I owe another $40 and I explained that I had refused the contact fitting so I should not owe $40.

I then received a bill for the $40, called and tried to get through to the office manager, was told he would call me back and he never did. I then got another bill, called back and finally talked to the manager. The manager said the bill still stands. I told him that aside from the bill the wait times are horrible and he told me to stop changing the subject. You would think an office manager would care about the overall experience. I will not be a returning patient after this overall terrible experience.

Waiting time is ridiculous. They didn't charge me $150 after the consultation so the next day they called me to come make the $150 payment, very inconvenient. Spent a total of 3 and a half hours there just for a consultation.

Unbelievably unprofessional. Called with what turned out to be a detached retina. Even though I described symptoms in detail, receptionist did not recognize it as an emergency. After calling back AGAIN, was finally seen the next day. Doctor had his young son with him through the entire exam and emergency consultation. STAY AWAY

I despise this place. As I write this review, I am sitting in yet another chair. the fourth time waiting since I've been here. FOR THE PAST 73 MINUTES! And it matters not what time your appointment is set for. Oh sure, they'll get you started on time, but after that first 10 minute evaluation, you do nothing but wait. and wait. and wait. I've been here first thing in the morning and then again late in the afternoon. Had I not been referred by a friend (thanks a lot, D) and started this process to see if I even qualify for surgery, I'd walk out right this second and never come back. Will never, ever recommend them to anyone. Ever.

Had glasses from first grade to my current age of 28. This was the best thing I've ever done and love waking up each morning being able to see! Customer service was great and were quick in getting me scheduled (one week between the open house and my surgery). The QualSight LASIK procedure that I underwent took only twenty minutes total for both eyes.

By the next morning (about 12 hours later), I could see clearly and was able to drive. So happy to have gotten this elective surgery and cannot recommend it enough to my friends and family.

The dreamy Dr. Endl manages my opthalmic needs. This is a large, very busy, well-run opthalmology practice with two locations (Niagara Falls Blvd. @ Creekside in Amherst, and a new Niagara Falls office opening next month at Packard/Porter). Terrific, friendly staff, lots of patient education. Everyone is very well trained & very competent. I have never felt rushed here. Plenty of free parking.

The staff here is amazing! I've been going to this office for about 15yrs, even though I've lived outside of Buffalo for almost 8yrs. The care I receive here cannot be found elsewhere in the country, I've tried! Both my parents & my sister have had their LASIK done here, all of my grandparents have had their cataracts done here too, every procedure has been smooth & successful. We wouldn't trust our eyes to anyone else!

I received my LASIK correction by Dr Elmer one month ago. From answering questions over the phone, scheduling appointments, GREAT financing options, the very helpful open house, initial eval, surgical day and post ops - I have nothing but great things to say about my experience the whole way through. The staff and opthomologists here are very attentive to the needs of every patient from what I saw being in their office.

And my procedure? Flawless. I wish I would have done it years earlier, but seeing as I only recently moved to this area, I'm very happy I waited and had it done right by Dr Elmer.
