A procedure in which the surgeon first creates a flap in the uppermost layer of the cornea using a device called a microkeratome. Then the surgeon makes an optical cut after removing additional tissue with a second pass of the microkeratome. The best possible vision a person can achieve with corrective lenses measured in terms of Snellen lines on an eye chart.

Both my husband and I have been to Fisher-Swale-Nicholson eye center, and have had great experiences! My husband in particular was having a lot of trouble with one of his eyes, and eye care offices he had been to previously misdiagnosed him with styes and continued to tell him to apply warm compresses. After a month, the problem continued to get worse so he switched to Fisher-Swale-Nicholson.
They identified the problem immediately, and did an in office procedure to remove a granuloma. They continue to help him manage his ocular rosacea. We will always come here for all our eye care needs!

We were very impressed with everything here on our first visit. We were warmly greeted. The front desk people were very friendly and efficient. We were called just a few minutes later. Everyone who tended to our care were friendly, understanding, and very professional. Our wait times were very short. Plenty of parking, spacious and accommodating building, and clean. We are glad we chose this place.

The people in the office when you check in are soooo nice. And the lady that took me to do the tests on my eye was sooooo understanding when she would ask me to do something and my eye did what it wanted. The doctor was AMAZING. She talked to me in depth what was going on when she saw it scared me. This place hands down is the best place to go if you having issues with your eyes. They really do know what they're talking about.

I have health issues and arrived at FSN hurting, (and wanted to reschedule if FSN was running late), I was very direct to the very nice and professional technician, she overlooked my directness and completed my exam in a timely manner. I was impressed Dr Nicholson traveled to many places to share his expertise. I traveled 50 miles from north of Orland Park to use their services, and completely trust them.
