I have suffered with dry eyes over ten years. To combat this I have tried numerous therapies including punctal plugs, heat to seal my tear ducts, and even a device that cleans all contaminants from the eyes. These were all temporary and didn't last but a few months. I was not able to use Restasis because insurance would not cover the medication, and the monthly cost without insurance is a ridiculously high ($550 to $700) cost.

Enter Dr. Steven Naids, a newer ophthalmologist at Florida Eye Microsurgical Institute. He instructed me on specific therapies. The doctor then left the room for about five minutes. He came back with information from a company called NimbleRx that worked with pharmacies to order and deliver prescriptions. Somehow Dr. Naids had found a way to obtain Restasis for me.

Within a couple of days I received Restasis, covered by insurance, for a cost of around $14 for a month's supply. This was so exciting. I have been using Restasis a little over a month and my eyes feel fantastic. I was told it could take from four to six months to see a significant difference, however, I started experiencing a change within two to three weeks. And this is getting better as time progresses. Dr. Naids has made an improvement in my lifestyle that is indescribable. Thank you Florida Eye Microsurgical Institute.

I had double vision for about five years or so and I finally went to Dr. Friedman and I had my surgery two months ago. I am amazed! The surgery was easy and other than a red eye, no pain. Everything is great. I can see again, my vision is good and he was super nice and very thorough. I highly recommend him.

Dr Friedman is not only the best in my book. He's is the best in all the people who work in the medical field. I can't explain the gratitude I have for the Dr and his staff and his expertise is mind blowing. My son had 50/20 and now has 20/20 and needs no glasses. I wish you could give 10 stars.

Attention to all parents with special needs children! We came in for our first appointment on Tuesday July 21, 2020. That visit was the worst doctors experience I've ever had with a specialist for my son. Troy is on the autism spectrum and I tried to be ready because I knew how my son would react to an office setting out of fear. I called ahead 3 separate times to make sure the staff was aware of his diagnostic and to make sure it was okay to come without a mask for him because he wouldn't wear one.

I had all my paperwork filled out and emailed before I even got there. I walk in and of course, my son begins to cry. The lady at the front desk started making faces and covering her ears out of annoyance from his crying while asking me to repeat myself over and over. Then, when we have a seat a man who was a patient there felt obligated to tell my son " hey bud, don't you think you're a little too old to be acting like this." I'm aware there's nothing they could have done about this but I'm making sure you know this part to know the other things us parents with ASD children have to deal with on a day to day.

I ignored his comment as we got called back to the room. The entire staff treated my son and I so poorly and like we were an inconvenience, like I should learn to control my child, even though I made the conscious effort to make the staff aware of our situation. Then as we waited in our exam room and my son finally had a chance to calm down, I hear the MA tell the doctor " are you ready for this one?" This is so incredibly rude and unprofessional!

They come in, do the exam quickly, and showed us out. I've never felt so hurt, angry, and defeated in my life. I wish people could just try to show compassion for others or at the very least, educate your staff enough to know how to service special needs kids because it's hard enough to bring your child to a new scary place, but to deal with with unprofessional people while things are already overwhelming is just a new level of stress and anxiety that we didn't need.

I'm completely disappointed in the service we received from "medical professionals" such as this office. No parent should ever have to feel like that when they go to an office. I hope you get your staff the training they need because this is unacceptable.

We have been seeing Fr Friedman for several years for my son. The staff has never been very friendly but Dr is. However expect to be here for a long while. We always wait at least 30 mins after check in to be called back and another 30ish for doctor to come in after nurse. At most recent appointment I was informed at check in my other children may not come into appointment.

One parent only. So single moms or parents who have jobs be prepared to hire a babysitter for your siblings and appointments. We are looking for new doctor- not worth jumping through hoops.

I just started seeing Dr. Gorsack because my sister highly recommended him. I was so pleased with the whole staff! They are smart, don't keep me waiting, and extremely kind, right down to the front desk ladies! Dr. Gorsack is fantastic! Kind, thorough, very professional, extremely personable, and I am so happy to be his patient! Some of the reviews I just read must be from some nut jobs, because I found everything and everyone OUTSTANDING! Thank you!

Went here many years back to DR Friedman for strabismus surgery, needless to say my eyes were not fixed. Now I'm looking to find another surgeon that can correct why he didn't. went back for follow up and his staff literally said there was nothing wrong talk about money makers and no regards for patients. Never went back!

Some eye docs will only charge you for one copay if you have both glaucoma and macular. Here they charge 2. Also received a phone call that said I needed to be on a.1 % solution of a drug as prior was.15% because of the advanced stage of my disease. Actually both drugs work just as well, the.1% is 5 times the cost with only a moderate improvement in side effects-another way for the drug companies to keep charging for upgrades. I was on.15% for years with no problems. Thei seem to schedule appointments that aren't really needed.
