I have been a patient of MERSI for 10+ years. I have seen all of the doctors but Dr. Anesi is my favorite. He is always courteous and patient with me. The wait times can get a little hectic sometimes. There are two waiting rooms and often times there is a long wait in both. But I know from personal experience, that they handle emergencies swiftly so sometimes that means that follow-up appointment patients have to wait. I went from having to be seen once every 6 weeks (sometimes sooner) to once a year! They have done a tremendous job in caring for my eyes. Thank you!

The Doctors here are some of the best out there. However, the wait time is something out of a horror movie. Been here since 9:30 am and it's 1:12 pm. Not even close to a reasonable waiting time. Why even give someone an appointment time?!?!

For anyone complaining about the wait time, or concerned about the 1 star reviews. I still have my vision because of Dr. Foster. I fly from NJ every 3 months because the 9% of voidoj I have left in my one eye is because of Dr. Foster. This is a teaching practice, where you will be seen by fellows to side in their education before you see the doctor.

You also will have any and every test and blood draw done while you're there. This is the reaosn for the long wait time and long appointment time. If you value your time over your eyesight, then maybe this isn't the place for you.

I have been under the care of Dr. Stephen Foster for 25 years or so since he was in Boston ME&E. He saved my eyesight twice and I wouldn't go to any other eye doctor, period. Waiting time never was even an issue when my eyesight is on the line. Highest praise for Dr Foster and all the staff there. Hope to never see you again but if I need anything eye related, I'm only calling MERSI. I can never thank you enough.

Went there for almost 2 years then started infusions. They made me responsible for the pharmacy. I thought this was unusual because I have had infusions several times before and the Dr always stocked the medicine. For my first infusion we had laid out the plan of half the dose to see how I responded to it. The Dr called the prescription in for the full dose.

Keep in mind a full does was billed at $9300. When I got my information of claims from my insurance they said I owed $2300 because I had not met my deductible. I called in to ask why and where was the other half of the medicine. The person over seeing the infusions is the Drs wife. She would not answer that simple question and keep changing the subject.

Yes I got irritated and said things and used language that was unprofessional but she was not answering a simple question. I get a email 2 days later from I believe the CEO stating they would no longer treat me and do not call or come to the office. They went one step further and contacted the local police department and said they just wanted to have it on the record.

They did not want to press charges. All their phone calls are recorded for quality and training. The phone call was not played for the officer. He also told me that was not the first time he had been there for similar complaints. Dr Foster is a well respected Doctor. He might not have the best bed side manor or since of humor but his wife that over sees the infusion department is who filed the complaint.

On my second infusion my blood pressure went through the roof so they discontinued half way through. She said I needed to go to the emergency room. She gave me a map quest directions and told me to say I had chest pains when I did not. Thinking back if my blood pressure was that high I should not be driving. So I get a bill for over $5000 for that visit and all they did was let me rest in a bed and check my blood pressure every so often.

I was there 4 hours! That was reckless to let me drive myself if it was that dangerous. To tell me to tell them I had chest pains when I did not is very much not what a health care provider should ever say. I don't want that on my medical records. After my two week follow up Dr Foster told me my eyes looked great and he didn't think I needed infusions. Hummm?

My insurance paid him thousands of dollars for those two visits. He still has $4750 of a drug he did not give me and probably gave it to a patient that was paying out of pocket because he scared them into thinking if they didn't receive it that they might go blind. So be very cautious of this Dr.

Do not come to this office if you value your time. If you schedule an appointment with Dr. Anesi, you won't see him for at least an hour after your appointment time. It seems the staff to patient ratio is far too low here as the line for the front desk often goes out the door. It should also be noted that I had to deal with a disgruntled screaming and cursing patient in one of the waiting rooms during my second visit because the staff couldn't be inconvenienced to handle the situation.

Dr. Foster and everyone at MERSI are professional and caring. Dr. Foster and his team have been treating my condition for close to 20 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Some of the reviews complain about the wait times. This could be because they also have emergency visits, I get same day appointments when I have a flareup and I expect to wait - I'm also not there only patient. If you have been diagnosed with an inflammatory condition that effects your eye, this is the place you want to go.

Excellence in action! I have been traveling to MERSI for 10 years for a rare blinding disorder. I drive 6 hours round trip to see Dr Foster. He has saved my vision! Everyone in the office is warm and highly professional. I have rarely had to wait long to be seen and have tests. Huge gratitude for Dr Foster and MERSI and the respect, knowledge and wisdom they provide in an atmosphere of absolute excellence.

My wife Andrea and I have been going there for 2 years for her treatments and words can't describe how blessed and thankful we are to have Dr. Foster as her Doctor. He has saved her eyesight and her life due to his expertise and knowledge. The staff is exceptional as well, and again we owe a debt of gratitude and thanks to Dr. Foster. God Bless
