Services
My role as a family Physician is to help my patients get well and to stay well. I feel that providing prevention-related examinations and information is as important as treating your immediate health care needs. I believe that encouraging individuals to pursue a healthy lifestyle will result in better health for the entire family.
I enjoy time with my family and am eager to get to know yours. Practicing Family Medicine and delivering babies for the past 14 years gave me the chance to watch children grow and develop, along with their parents and grandparents. What a privilege to be the doctor for an entire family! Knowing the context of an individual's life helps me anticipate problems and create personal, practical solutions for my patients. My mission is to provide quality, up to date, genuine, and personal care. I am a father of four, awaiting two more through international adoption.
I chose to enter the medical field because I enjoy serving and connecting with others. The opportunity to build warm, trusting relationships with patients and their families is the joy of family medicine. As a PA, I provide current, quality care driven by empathy, compassion, and honesty. It is important for me to treat the whole individual: physical, emotional, and spiritual health. I listen carefully to my patients' concerns and partner with them to make educated decisions about their treatment options.
My family has many generations of physicians. When it came time to choose my career path, it seemed natural to go into the field of medicine. Family Practice especially stood out to me because it would allow me to use every aspect of my broad education and experience. I enjoy the challenge of seeing patients of all ages and variety that Family Practice offers.

You'd think after being their patient for 26 years they'd have a little flexibility when you're 10 minutes late. Lackluster care.

I had a great first experience with MNGI yesterday for an endoscopy. The nurses, anesthesiologist, and Dr. were all excellent. Everyone was so kind, and caring. I was well taken care of.

I saw the first doctor available for a UTI. Three days into the prescription, I got a call telling me it was the wrong medicine, and I needed to stop taking it and go pick up a new one. Two weeks later, symptoms were back. This is a miserable condition, I called on a Wednesday to see if the doctor could simply prescribe another round of meds. I received no response whatsoever, and was so miserable ended up having to go into urgent care over the weekend.

To add insult to injury, received a call Monday morning from an employee less than eager to help, who told me that a random doctor, whom I didn't see for this, is 'sending his apologies for the late response'. No solution, just an 'apology'.I asked why she didn't go to the female dr I saw last time, her only response- 'I don't know what you want me to do.' Wow.just wow.my entire family has been going to this practice for over 40 years. But if they're to busy to care about health, must be time to go somewhere else.

Shady billing practices. I received $250 bill for just a visit to get my blood pressure prescription refill! Just to compare it with my colleague with exactly same insurance went to Mayo clinic to see a specialist and got $250 bill. How can a GP with just BP refill prescription charge as much as a Mayo clinic specialist with full check up! They don't even spare patients during annual check ups that are completely covered by insurance provider. They charged me $100 for it making excuse that since I have high blood pressure it will cost extra! Better to place your life and well being in hands of an honest Doctor.

Phenomenal level of care from the MDs and NPs. Very attentive and exceptional staff. Moved all my primary care to this place.

I have been a patient here for years now, and absolutely love the staff and my PA, and other PA's and doctors I've seen. I moved to the Cities eleven years ago, and had some sad experiences from doctors when trying to find a Primary Care Provider. Because I am older, female, and asthmatic, I was rushed through appointments, and had few questions answered and the ones I was allowed to ask were quickly dismissed.

My providers at FAFP listen to me and are responsive to the whole me--not just health issues but social/emotional problems as well. It's important to be able to trust providers, and I feel that my PA has my best interests in mind. Thank you!

Went here for 6-7 years. My PA Suzy Runkell was wonderful and always gave me the support and care I needed. She was both pragmatic and empathetic with my care. Had some odd experiences with a Dr. Berge and Dr. Ledder. Saw Dr. Berge once and he stated I may have acanthosis nigricans, a pre-diabetic condition, when my BP and A1C came back normal. Dr. Ledder refused to see me because I was a "young and female" patient. Avoid the male practitioners if you are a POC lmao.

Doctors are really good Specially Dr. Berge and Dr. Johnson. (Would have given 5 stars for doctors) but service is pathetic.specially if you need to get tested or have some urgency. Test results take long to come, no follow up from clinic, even prescription refills are not sent on time. For a covid test you need to have a virtual visit (Pay $200) and then doctor reassures the test result will come in an hour.

Then get tested on a Friday( with a commitment of callback with result within hour or two) and keep on waiting for 3 days (for a rapid test) just because they are worthless and they are not open on Weekends. Pathetic service. Update: Doctor called and updated about the result. Thanks to Dr. Anderson. But still they really need service improvement(spread and clarity) and the communications should be clear.

My first visit as a new patient was actually really good, Stephanie at the front desk was really nice and helpful. My doctor Lindsay was exceptional in my opinion. From asking questions, making recommendation, and even respecting my views on certain things. Then Susan in the lad was a sweet darling, made my time and process comfortable. Overall, it was a good experience and looking forward to going back.

Only thing, other staff could be more personal such as giving a simple greeting, hello or good morning, that would be nice. But I understand that their job is very hectic at times.

This clinic was excellent the doctors were good but the MA seemed to really know her stuff. I remember Abbie Phang was just so knowledge and caring that it made me feel better due to my high level of anxiety at clinics. I DIDN'T FEEL ANYTHING ON THE BLOOD DRAW. Would recommend

I recently switched to this location for my primary care and couldn't be happier. A smaller clinic that treats you with a great human touch. My wife went here for years while I was going to one of the larger metro hospitals. I finally gave FAFP a shot and am very glad that I did.

I switched from my previous primary care physician out of Park Nic. Glad I did! Very welcoming and they made switching doctors very easy.

Absolutely horrible. I have been going to FAFP since 2009 (nearly 11 years) and I will never step foot in that place again. They made a huge diagnostic error (by never running tests that I requested) and blamed me for their errors. They said I should have checked my charts closer when they gave me the results verbally. The office staff are incredibly unfriendly and unprofessional and seem to have zero sympathy for patients.

Great staff and outstanding Doctor. Seen two doctors here and they both take their time to talk to their patients!

Early this fall, I started looking for a new physician. I was tired of getting gauged by Allina and the level of care became more about numbers than patients. So my search for a new doctor began. Even with all the doctors around where I live, it was difficult finding one that would take on new patients. I finally found France Avenue Family Physicians, and after several sources of feedback, scheduled an appointment with Dr. Michael Pane. I've had several visits since then, and I am so impressed with the high level of service everyone provides.

From the front desk, to the nurses, to the lab, and most especially the doctor, this is what I would expect: partners to help me with my health. I feel like there's a sincere interest in my health and my needs, and not just some insurance cash cow. Dr. Pane also admitted he wasn't have the depth of knowledge with one aspect of my health, so he referred me to another doctor for that component of my health.

The only reason I'm knocking off one star is for technology. Yes, France Avenue Family Physicians has a website, however it's a bit antiquated. It's not user-friendly, and it takes a while to get my lab results. But I can live with all this because the level of care is much more important to me. I know that while they are lagging in technology, they will eventually catch up. It's true of many medical offices.

I've been going to France Avenue for over four years now and I haven't had a single issue or any hiccups getting great Health Care. Every staff member has been courteous, professional and patient with me. I found this place because they had high ratings and positive reviews online. It's no coincidence I finally found a primary care physician that works with me and actually remembers details in my chart. Dr. Johnson is great at her job as a provider, but most importantly she's a doctor I can truly trust.

If my previous comments weren't already saying it, I would highly recommend this place to you, your loved ones and anybody looking for a fresh start in the search for a new doctor.

As doctors' offices go, this one is pretty decent. The waiting area is spacious and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and efficient. If you need to set up a payment plan to pay down your bill, they tend to be quite accommodating. The nurses are wonderful. We don't even go to urgent care anymore; we just call, let them know of our symptoms, and ask if we can have a doctor's appointment.

If the symptoms are serious enough, they'll get us in as quickly as they can. If not, they're great at giving us advice for self-care over the phone. That's great for peace of mind, and it often saves a co-pay. I've come here for labs a few times. The technicians are great most of the time; one time I had someone who couldn't find my vein (even when I pointed it out to her), but you'll find that anywhere now and then.
