Their billing department is rude and unhelpful. They will send you bills to try to get you to pay instead of billing your insurance. They hang up on you when call to get information. Overall they are not helpful or polite.

Avoid if at all possible. Service is so-so but they will absolutely try to screw you over with billing. Rather than work with your insurance company they'll send their bill straight to a collections agency.

Emergency Medicine Specialists of Orange County. We were visiting California when my son's eye began bothering him. We went to an urgent care and they confirmed there was something in his eye, but that they couldn't get it out. he needed to see an ophthalmologist. It was Saturday and no offices were opened. We were referred to CHOC children's because they have ophthalmologists on call.

When we got there we told them we had seen a doctor and were referred to CHOC to see an ophthalmologist. They made us see a nurse practitioner in order to then see the ophthalmologist. The nurse practitioner then proceeded to torture my child by doing exactly the same things the urgent care doc did. but she had to give my son a drug to calm him down.

Why the drug? Because now they get to charge more for their services. It was total BS. I got a bill later from the ER doc, who we never saw for an outrageous amount. 5x more than what the ophthalmologist billed us for. EMSOC should be ashamed of themselves. You shouldn't look for ways to milk your patients for as much money as you can with the excuse that. they have insurance.

I have an HSA and I pay for the first $11K. You screwed me! Not my insurance company. I had no choice but to go here. If you have a choice, stay away! They are predatory. I called co complain about my bill. I was told too bad. I asked for explanations of the cost. I was sent to collections instead. Predators is the only way I can describe their business model. Run!

Disgusting and unhelpful. They rude and make up rules just to refuse to help you. The call center is horrid and they have a dilusional sense of the HIPPA law. I asked for a supervisor and was refused to speak to. I asked for a corporate number and they said over and over they couldnt provide that info because it broke HIPPA. wow seriously?

This company is horrid. The way they conduct themselves and the supervisors are even worse. Armando (Employee number 5884)in the call center and his supervisor Yolanda werent helpful and tried to claim giving me their corporate number was violation of HIPPA? I asked for the number to compliance and they stated the same. His supervisor Yolanda was so unprofessional she wouldnt even get on the phone to speak to me to confirm exactly what compliances rules were.

I think they definitely need to be more educated to educate their patients instead of making up law. This is definitely somewhere compliance can improve them on. They dont know what they're doing. I will definitely be getting a hold of compliance hope they can help me help them. Or the better business bureau

Horrible hospital experience and expect the bill to be worse! This company still trying to bill me for the full amount even after receiving payment and adjustments from my insurance. They never sent a statement reflecting the credits and then sent my account to collections for the full balance! Be aware and contact your insurance for the correct amount to pay them!

Sent bill to collection agency after receiving payment in full from my insurance. The debt collector and the provider don't (won't) communicate with each other.

Agreed with all who say they will dramatically inflate your bill. It has got to be fraud of some sort.
