Been going here for a few months now. Majority of the time they appear to not be customer friendly at all. Even a simple change in your provider seems to tick them off if Hod forbids you forget to tell them when checking in but ask they send your records to a new provider EVEN for someone like myself whose insurance requires zero referrals for their services. Second, they're typically behind; that's the norm than the exception.

But today was the worst. My appt was 9:30am and I didn't get seen over until 10:25am. No one I mean no staff member even gives you a heads up that "sorry we're running behind" unless you ask if they're aware you're still waiting. When the US tech came for me, no apology either for having me wait that long. Also, you will rarely see a doctor; you're primarily seeing US techs.

Even if you insist you want to talk to a doctor, they'll try to convince you otherwise in that the tech will first relay your concerns to the doctor and then either the tech comes back with the doctor's response or once in a while the doctor will come and address your questions. The US techs are usually nice though. The front desk and check out ladies not so much.

I honestly think this whole practice, the one in Rockville can use some customer service training. I waited to write this review to make sure my experience was consistent and not just based on one off. I've been to this practice a lot of times in the past 6 months and this review is based on a sum of all those visits. If there's ever a next time that I need to be seeing an MFM, I will definitely not be going to this practice.

Dr. Pinckert is amazing! He has great bedside manner. Very professional, knowledgeable and reassuring. I never had a long wait when i visited him on multiple occasions. The billing company they use was somewhat complicated but the billing staff at the office was absolutely amazing and very accommodating. I had to visit him a few times at the end of my pregnancy and I appreciate everything he did for me. I now have an extremely healthy son.

I came for an ultrasound. This practice charges expectant mothers to take home pictures of their ultrasounds (and they don't tell you that up front). Pretty disgusting that a maternal practice would try to capitalize off of a keepsake for a pregnant mother. Front desk staff was not super welcoming. And if you don't have childcare, I don't recommend scheduling an appt here.

They don't allow anyone under the age of 12 (even accompanied by an adult) to attend, so you have to go to the appointment by yourself. Overall, it's just your standard cold, medical prenatal care. No real effort or empathy in their care. However, they were a very punctual office.

The front staff have always been pleasant to deal with during arrival. I am usually the first appointment and I've never been taken at the time of my appointment so expect to wait at least 10-15 minutes. No need to come early! The women I have experienced doing the ultrasound were lovely and informative. Three different women and all three were great!

You only see the doctor the first time unless something is wrong. Due to restrictions, we couldn't bring SO to the visits. I understood this, but checked their website before each appointment to see if they still had restrictions which they did each time. Except this week when I went multiple people brought SO, so I inquired and was told their policy had changed maybe two weeks ago.

Their website was never updated, we never received an email, nor was this indicated when you check in online. So my SO missed all three ultrasound appointments which was incredibly disappointing for the father-to-be. Then to top it off, they usually are so great about providing 25+ 2D or 3D photos and videos, but this last time she only tried one photo.

It didn't look that great so I declined to pay $5 for his elbow. Lastly, the appointment I made had to be at a specific date and time due to an outside specialist's schedule. I never even saw the outside specialist and was told she would read my scans virtually. I had to take off work to make that one date and time happen so it was pretty frustrating walking out without my SO, no pictures, and no specialist.

I cannot say enough good things about this practice. I lost a baby due to a rare genetic condition and their doctors and genetic counselors provided me with all the resources I needed to get through that devastating experience. They worked with me to help diagnose her rare condition and were always there to listen to me and also to explain the various testing we needed to do.

They also monitored my subsequent pregnancy and provided much needed reassurance throughout the whole time. The ultrasound techs were just awesome and didn't mind showing me everything and dealing with my neuroticism. I am so thankful for the care my babies and I received here.

Dr. Pinkert was very kind and patient with all of our questions. He was helpful and informative about our situation. I really appreciated all of the time that he spent with us. The ultrasound technician was very thorough and kind, as well. We were greeted in the front office with a warm reception and had the opportunity to see some of the staff interacting happily with some long-time patients.

Dr. Pinckert is truly a gift! He actually makes me feel like a person and not just a "10-minutes before I move on" inconvenience like I have experienced at my other doctors offices. His empathy is balanced amazingly with his professionalism. He and his staff, including the wonderful genetic counselors have given me a peace of mind needed during my journey with my high-risk pregnancy.

The value that a caring team of medical professionals such as I found here at Greater Washington Maternal and Fetal Medicine and Genetics can not be measured! I trust 100% that my sweet baby girl and I are in the BEST hands!

Better then we could have hoped for. Dr. Pinckert has an amazing energy and we never leave with unanswered questions. We've had some bumps during our family planning experience so I'm ok admitting we are nervous first time parents and feel very reassured after our appointments with him. The ultra sound technicians here are the BEST we've encountered and we've had tons of ultrasounds/techs on our journey.

Their compassion and excitement for their clients is very apparent and super appreciated. Very grateful to have Greater Washington Maternal-Fetal Medicine helping us with our little girl. Thanks for being awesome!

Very satisfied with my visit. I was referred by my OBGYN. The staff was friendly. The nurse who did my sonogram was super nice and so was the doctor he had my husband and I laughing and we felt very relaxed he explained everything thoroughly and answered all our questions.

Dr. Matia and Dr. Manley (no relation) were very kind and helpful to me. I spent a lot of time there during my first pregnancy as my son had a problem with his kidney that they were following. Due to the care I received by Dr. Matia, we were able to continue care with Children's Hospital promptly after his birth. I had issues with my placenta both times, and the doctors and ultrasound techs were all very understanding and reassuring.

They lose a star for front desk/wait times. It's very unpleasant to wait for an hour or more with a full bladder. The front desk staff is a mixed bag in terms of helpfulness. I've had very good experiences and frustrating ones as well.
