I have been a patient of Dr Balan's for almost 17 years; she has pulled me through some very bad times. I have a pituitary tumor which had been operated on 3 times when I found her. Initially I was seeing another endocrinologist in Greensboro with whom I was very disappointed. When I started seeing Dr Balan my life literally changed. She was so attentive to my specialized needs and always greeted me with a smile. In my opinion she is the best!

Sharon Poole During my last visit with the PA, because my doctor is out on medical leave for three years now, I wanted to discuss a medical concern at the end of our appointment, I was told by the PA "I have other patients". I was floored. In leaving she said "What do you want to talk about? I said never mind, I will find someone else to talk to. At that point, I knew I wouldn't be coming back to see her.

So three months later, when I called to insure that I would not be seeing her on my yearly check up, I was told I was no longer a patient. The Office lady told me she had a meeting with other doctors and decided I should be removed from the practice. She told the doctors that I talked bad about many other providers. LIE. I ask her opinion about ONE doctor only one and didn't say anything bad about him.

Just asked her opinion. It amazes me that someone in that position would have to straight up lie about what I said in order to get her way. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. If your GP Doctor doesn't have time to discuss my medical concerns why am I here wasting my time and money. Also lied about me missing appointments. Her name is Mary. Stay

I literally just had the worst medical interaction ever. I come to Dr. Collins with concerns and questions as well as a battery of tests I've had completed. She came into the room already cool and unconcerned. I tell her how I'm feeling what I have been doing and what other ideas, help, expertise she might have as well and helping me make sense of the tests. NOTHING.

I got nothing. I was told oh your body might just be like that, other people are worse off than you and you should be happy with what you have, there's nothing I can do and you seem to be on a path to clarity. It was such a checked out, uncaring load of garbage. When a patient comes to you with concerns please be kind, hear them out and respond with grace to their situation. I really dont care what Betty, Sue, Tom or Steve experienced. I'm an individual with my own concerns and path. Treat people with care. Never going back

I was referred to this practice by my new OBGYN this past Thursday. I got a voice-mail while I was at work a few days ago from the receptionist stating I needed to call them back by 12pm that day to confirm the appointment. I didn't get off work until 1pm and was unable to call them back. Now today, the receptionist has called me FOUR TIMES and left me one VERY stern sounding voice-mail stating I NEED to call them back by 4:30pm this time!

My appointment with them wasn't even until October 6th.a little over 2 weeks away! She called me AGAIN just now and I finally got to my phone in time to answer and tell her to just cancel my appointment! Probably would have kept it had the receptionist not given me anxiety about calling them back and then called my phone every hour today, leaving me borderline rude voice-mail! Definitely will be finding a different practice!

I have been seeing Dr. Balan and Mary Provost, NP for scheduled check-ups for a number of years. Both are exceptional practitioners - very knowledgeable and caring medical people. They listen and work with you for your individual situation. Their front office and medical staff have always been very helpful too. I highly recommend them.

I enjoy seeing nurse Amanda and Dr. Aryal, but the office staff make the experience terrible. Today, I checked in with the lab staff by writing my name in their check-in book at 8:46am. Several patients that checked in after me were called back to be seen while I continued waiting. I was not called back for lab work until 9:30am, and this was only after a nurse asked the woman sitting at the lab desk "what's that lady waiting on" and then asking me my name.

It turned out I was "missed" and they were now on the next page of patients. The office woman did not give me any explanation, much less an apology, for wasting my time. Their actions, yet again, showed me how unprofessional and rude they are. It's a shame because I go there to be treated, already in physical and emotional pain, and get ugly attitudes on top of that. Unacceptable.

Use to be a good place. But lately one doctor doesn't care. Mary is her name. When my mom went in she brushed off her symptoms saying take vitamin D when it was much serious and ended up going to the ER. She never ran tests. When i went in for head concerns that arent normal she downplayed it again saying here is some headache medicine. Which wont help with the issues i have.

She kept talking over me too. She ended the checkup in the blink of an eye too. Was already out the door before i could even respond to her leaving. These are head concerns, which are serious! Theres a reason its now a 3 star medical practice.

I have been a patient for 10 years and my doctor is on medical leave for the past 3 years. I was working with a pa and she left. The practice will not allow me my blood pressure meds. The never reached out to get me another doctor. My husband has had the same situation as me. Today I tried to get an appointment with another doctor and the receptionist was very rude. I am done. Good luck.

I have been a patient with GMA for over 10 years. I started with Dr. Pang who was the best doctor I have ever had, so it's not surprising he moved on. I'm now with Mary who I love and is a fabulous go to, she is as knowledgeable as the best doctors I have seen in my life and she genuinely cares about her patients as do the nurses there. I have many friends who go there and all the doctors are good.

Their office management was rude to me also after my car accident. I think if GMA management/ ownership had their way the practice would become a "sweatshop based on how quickly they can get patients in and out ", particularly the pain management clinic. I don't go to them but have friends who do and know people who work there and they are expected to work based on volume of people rather than quality of service.

It's very sad and frightening that good Dr's are being bullied into treating patients as a number. However, I don't think these doctors will give in to that but rather keep the best interests of their patients at heart. When good doctors and PA's start leaving, I suggest patients follow those doctors because they ARE THE HEART OF THAT PRACTICE!
