Griffin Pediatric Clinic - Kyendria K Banks Griffin Pediatrics began caring for children in our community over 50 years ago. Dr. James Dunaway established the practice in 1962. We are proud to continue a tradition of providing up to date, quality medical care for children. All of our pediatricians are board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and are Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

One of our four pediatricians will care for your child when you visit our office. Our mission is to provide a medical home for a community of healthy, happy and well educated children.
Services
Children need time for unstructured play. Organized activities are fine in moderation, but children, especially small children, develop best when they engage in imaginative play and explore on their own. Children should have simple toys, and the toys should be adaptable and versatile. Toys with good play value include blocks, puzzles, crayons, chalk, dolls, cars, trains, trucks and balls.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, his medical degree from the University of South Florida and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Florida Shands Hospital. Dr. McBryde joined Griffin Pediatrics in 2001. He and his wife, Tiffany have four children, Lauren, Andrew, Gabriel and Hannah.
The internet and easy access to medical advice online can be overwhelming and sometimes inaccurate. We recommend the following reliable resources for routine questions about your child's development, learning, signs and symptoms of illness and immunizations. Griffin Pediatrics- Our Mission is to provide a community of healthy, happy, and well-educated children.
Our practice accepts the following insurances. This list is subject to change at any time. We encourage you to verify your insurance with our office staff when making your appointment. If your child is sick during the day, we are ready to help. We begin taking phone calls at 8:30 a.m. A receptionist will answer your call and, in most cases, forward you to our nurses' voice mail.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I don't write reviews, but I am my kids biggest advocate. I've brought my kids to this office for 14yrs. I've never had any complaints & always sang their praises to anyone who asked. Today I received a call that they would no longer see my 3 boys due to a racial comment my middle son made over a year ago. The office manager advised that his doctor was no longer w/ the office & they had decided that based on this commit, they wouldn't see any of them.

Back story.my middle child has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. HE IS NOT A NORMAL CHILD! He repeats and mimics everything negative. Whatever racial slur he repeated was not picked up at home & he is corrected multiple times a day. Griffin Peds was his doctor since he was 5mo old; they know this. What kind of pediatrician doesn't treat the difficult cases? What kind of dr punishes a child for their disability?

Dr. Gary is absolutely amazing. We will be seeing him every time. Front desk could be a little more personable, but the doctor makes up for any negatives.

We appreciate Dr. Laura Lee's guidance and expertise. She always takes time to answer questions and we always see her when we go. We aren't pushed off to a NP. The staff is friendly and the office is clean. We are very happy with our decision to have Dr. Laura Lee as our Pediatrician.

I have been taking my baby there since a newborn. She received her 2 months shots, and then when I asked for the next appointment, they said it wasn't one. I then asked the nurse at the front about the ages of the shots and she said she didn't know. That's scary and stupid. My baby is now 8 months and and they failed to schedule my baby an appointment to get her shots.

So she is now behind. I'm beyond disappointed and disgusted. Even the doctor (McBryde) that she was seeing failed to say she hadn't had her other shots. I'm a new mom, so I would expect for the doctor to care and know when they pull up the Grid for my child. Again I would never recommend my child or anybody else's for that carelessness. I have now switched to a better Pediatrician.

I have never written a review, because I don't like to talk negatively about others, but the way I was treated here was some of the worst treatment. It's been a while since I been there, so I don't remember the exact name of the Doctor. She was an African American female. Every single time I brought my son in, she was so rude and condescending. And I'm not a sensitive person what so ever.

But it was literally every time I came in she would say something rude. For instance, this one time my son had an ear infection and I had no idea. He didn't act like it and then when he did, I took him in. After she glanced at his ear for not even a second she said it's an ear infection and then said "next time don't wait so long to bring him in." Not kidding.

That was just one instance. So, I started following my friends advice that it's good to pick the right pediatrician (my son was a baby at the time), and I decided to go to Mcdonough pediatrics just once, ONE time to see how they were. When I went back to Griffin Peds, the same doctor saw I went to Mcdonough Peds and told me I can't be coming to Griffin if I'm going to Mcdonough.

I told her I was just seeing how they were, and she said I'm going to be taken out of their system. Again, no joke. When I tried to call and make an appt at Griffin Peds they said I had changed Doctors so I couldn't come back. I never told that doctor what I decided. And when I asked other ped Doctors about finding the right ped, they say that's pretty common for parents to do, and that is crazy she would do that. I'm glad I did switch to Mcdonough Peds. They're much better and aren't condescending little jerks.

I'm so happy that we found Dr. Lee! She listens to all my concerns and is wonderful with both my kids. We always get a quick call back for sick visits. The staff is friendly and professional.

Although our PCP is Dr. Garth, with six children our family is bound to have emergency visits from time to time. With that being said, we've seen each doctor a few times. Our experience with each doctor and staff member has always been a pleasurable one. We love our doctor and the entire staff at Griffin Pediatrics. I couldn't imagine taking our children anywhere else.

I have always had a pleasant experience. They don't prescribe unnecessary antibiotics because they understand the process of antibiotic resistance. But they've always made sure my kids had what they needed to get better including antibiotics when it is called for.

Been taking my 2yr old there since he was born and have never not once received meds for him when he was sick. They always told me the same thing. Sleep elevated make sure no temp. Took my 2month old there Tuesday and they said he was fine to sleep elevated and make sure no timp. Well it's Friday and I'm in the hospital with my son cause he has a upper respitory infection and bronchitis. This is the worst pediatrics in griffin! I will not be taking my kids back here ever again. Love his doctor, but hate how they do things.

We were refused service today after they had already taken our copay, child's information and insurance information. We had an appointment, but were told after paying and filling out all forms that they didn't take non-patients on Saturdays. When asked what we should do (our primary physician is closed on Saturdays) they said we could always go to the E.R. I would recommend finding a different pediatrician, even if it means driving a bit further.
