Nurses, doctors, and other medical staff were all very compassionate and accommodating. I presented at the ED with pregnancy complications, and was seen promptly by the OB department. My condition turned out to be rare, but they did the research and collaboration needed to accurately diagnose and treat me. They even called me to follow up the next day.

Sad that these people will be displaced by the hospital closing. The only reason I'm not giving 5 starts is because the security guards at the ED were loud and unprofessional, the facility was somewhat run-down (perhaps due to the unfortunate fact that it's closing), and the medical records department was rude and unhelpful.

I don't know how the regular hospital is, but the emergency room is horrible. I went in for a post-epi pen use check up, and was considerably anxious and upset. I was met with terrible, bedside manner. When I asked how long would it be bc being there itself was making me so anxious and making me feel worse, I was met with condescension, disbelief, and annoyance by my nurse.

Several people acted annoyed that they had to deal with me at all, even for stuff I didn't ask for, like my EKG. Not a lot of a compassion or kindness to be found here. I would avoid this ER if you have a choice in the matter, particularly if you're a sensitive, anxious person.

Great and friendly service. Physicians and nurses went out of the way to make sure my stay was pleasant. The doctors spent a lot of time sitting down with me and explaining to me all my issues. The doctors at Temple or Jeff would never take this much time and effort for me.

My father was a surgical trauma patient. Pain control was not thought out. Severe pain when awakening. Morphine given and then had to use Narcan to reverse it because he wasn't responsive. Ortho fellow said "I don't know what else you want me to do." Nurses are overworked. No aides on the unit. At discharge, we waited for thirty minutes for a wheelchair.

My father said it's ok I will just use my crutches. Hit the lobby-5 wheelchairs on deck. Smh. Dr. Susan Harding did the surgery and she's super nice but she postponed his surgery for 7 hours. Her clinic is always delayed by at least 1-2 hours. Hate to say it but it's not ideal being there. Especially when your family was hit my a trolley and almost died.

The nursing staff is nasty to the patients they don't bother to read your chart to find out what you are allergic to I have the burns on my skin to prove it. Dietary sucks both in service and care about the patient. Also if you want a condiment you must order at the same time you are placing your food order or you have to wait at least 45 minutes to get it by then your meal is ruined and disgusting.

I learned that the hard way because they don't tell you that until it happens. My hand was grabbed and squeezed by the little punk who ruined my food and really there are only 2 decent people in Food Service, Manny who takes the orders and the older gentlemen who sometimes brings them. The Nursing Staff also lie about things that happen and I personally found some sleeping in the hallway propped up against the wall on their stool that explains why the call button wasn't being answered.

I will never go to this farce of a "Hospital" even again. They deserve to go bankrupt and be shutdown. Disgraceful place and my Husband is still thinking about suing them for how I'm continously mistreated there.

The nurses and Docs were 5 stars ***** for my experience here. The cardio team was very thorough and attentive. They ran the right tests, gave me proper treatment with impeccable bedside. The nurses were pros and worked their butts off all day and night. That ER works well in a pretty hostile environment. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is some of building and infrastructure could use a tighten-up/ cleanup.

I'm sure your great staff would appreciate some reinvestment and upgrades to their working conditions. I am very thankful that these folks were there to help me in my greatest time of need.

This is the worst hospital I have ever been to. The got my baby birthday wrong on his paperwork. So now I have to get a new birth certificate and social security number. When I was in the hospital. They come in your room every 2-3 hours. So you can't sleep. They tell you that you have a choice in what you want to do. But you don't. I hate this hospital with a passion.

I recently went to Hahnemann Emergency Department for an allergic reaction while visiting the Philadelphia area. The doctors, nurses, and other staff members were friendly and helpful. They were attentive to my needs and actually listened, which is more than you get from many doctors these days. My experience was pleasant (or as pleasant as can be expected for having to visit the ER in the middle of the night), and I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone in need of care.

My sister was in ICU for almost two weeks before she passed. She received the best, most compassionate care than she has from any other of the city's big medical centers. I can't praise the nursing staff enough for the compassion they showed to someone who was so difficult to deal with that she had to be restrained and sedated. They treated her with love and kindness and never batted an eye when she became out of control. I can never show enough thanks to the staff for making my sister's end of life process as loving and peaceful as possible.
