Hallandale Outpatient Surgical Center is conveniently located at the South East corner of Broward County (serving patients from both Dade and Broward counties) and within minutes of Gulfstream Park, the Diplomat Resort and Country Club, area hospitals, and the Ft. The Surgery Center has 6,400 square feet of space with two operating suites and one procedure room equipped with the latest technology and patient amenities.

It is the policy of the Facility to collect all copayments, coinsurances, and deductibles at or before the time of service. As well, the Facility will inform patients that they may request an estimate of charges for a scheduled procedure, what financial assistance may be available and how to apply.
As a service to our patients, prior to the day of the procedure, we will provide an estimate of the surgery center fees and patient responsibility (coinsurance, copayments, or deductible amounts) you will be required to pay prior to or on the day of your surgery. Failure to resolve payment issues before the date of surgery could possibly result in the postponement of your surgery.

If you don't have tons of money saved up to get your procedure done, I wouldn't go here. This place called me 2 days before my surgery to let me know I had to pay $1600 up front. I tried to ask if I could do a payment plan or at least pay 50% now and 50% later and they said no. I asked if I could use my care credit (specifically for medical/dental procedures) and they said no.

What type of place does this? This is people's health and they are asking for an abnormal amount of money upfront and they don't care. Now I have to wait in pain for even longer until I can find another facility to do my procedure. Please beware of this place.

The nurses and doctors get 5 stars. Dr. Yoldas and Dr. Cohen were wonderful. My issue is in the scheduling area at the Hallandale facility. As instructed a week before surgery, I spent 40 minutes thoroughly completing the online paperwork including my phone number. By noon the day before surgery, I had not heard from the Hallandale facility regarding my surgery time.

So when I finally called them, they told me they had left me a voice mail message with my arrival time. I asked what number they had left the voicemail with and it was my primary care physician's number! How on earth would I get that message? They clearly had my phone number in the online paperwork. Also, they had me down for shoulder surgery instead of knee surgery.

So when I showed up for surgery at my assigned time of 7:30am one of the Hallandale staff members said they had tried to call me to change my time to later but were unable to reach me because they still had my phone number wrong. So I ended up in the waiting room for over an hour before I was even called back. I was stressed enough about the surgery, and didn't need this.

When I finally got called back, my paperwork still indicated shoulder surgery. As I said, I was treated great once I was getting prepped for surgery etc. I would just recommend that the scheduling area be more careful and actually refer to the online paperwork they require you to fill out.

My wife had her knee repaired by Dr. E. Yoldas last week and she is well on her way to a favorable recovery. She cannot stop talking about how wonderful she was treated! Everyone from the Receptionist, Nurses, Anesthesiologists including her surgeon Dr. E. Yoldas were beyond professional and kind. Her comfort and wellness were always a number one priority.

She had a terrible experience 6 years ago at a Kendall, Miami facility for a similar injury. It was clearly a world of difference in the two experiences. Rest assured she was in extremely capable and caring hands this time. Thank-You

My surgery went absolutely fine! My surgeon Dr Yoldas is great! When I came out of post op I was rushed out to the point that my instructions were given to my caregiver in the car as I was shuffled in. I was made to give the center over $500. My insurance company paid in full in June, it wasn't until August that I found out quite by mistake while investigating a different claim.

They owed me a refund. Had I not called them about it, I'm certain I'd still be waiting as I still am. Legally, they need to refund within 60 days according to the OIG. Just a heads up. Their billing staff gave me conflicting information and the billing manager was incredibly rude to me when I pointed it out.

Both of my children have had surgery at Hallandale Beach Outpatient Center. One in October and one in December. Both children are patients of Dr. Yoldas. I have to say that everyone in the back half of the center were incredibly loving and caring. They spoke to me with compassion and respect. The nurses loved on both children as well as me. They ALL made us feel well cared for.

I am grateful for each and every person in the back half of the center. The front half should take some lessons from the back. October's surgery was self pay because my son's insurance didn't include catastrophic care and I asked for a payment plan and was refused. The second surgery was covered by a 2ndary insurance since she was injured on the ball field with her team. However, when you get a call from Ivis and she informs you to pay half (because they have never seen a case like mine) and hope to get reimbursed once insurance covers it or call your doctor and schedule at another surgical center.

She was very rude as well not prompt in returning calls I have made. Once I asked for supervisor (Virginia), who I also thought was rude, we did a 3 way call with insurance to ensure that my daughter was covered the billing issue was finally rectified. If those 2 were doing the surgery I WOULD have gone somewhere else. But because I love Dr. Yoldas and the back half of the staff at that center, I followed through with her surgery. 5 stars for back half and -1 for billing!

This team, working in behalf of Dr. Yoldas, my orthopedic surgeon, was top notch, highly professional, and outstanding in every respect. They may my surgery experience as easy and as smooth as it could have possibly been. I remember Ida and Shannon, and I'll blame the anesthesia for causing me to forget everyone else's names! Kudos to all of them! Many thanks again.

My surgery scheduled for 8am. Didn't get in until 11:15. I laid on a hard gurney for 3 hours. Asked for something for pain and got ignored. Woukdnt let me go to the bathroom either. I asked for an explanation but they continue to ignore me. I finally overheard a nurse saying exray arm had broken in one of 2 rooms so they had to combine all surgeries to one room.

I understand things happen but the way they handled it was horrific. I I also found out I was The last patient taken because Of my insurance- others went before me because they were getting paid more money. I will say this was not the drs fault. Just have to be careful where you go these days.

Beyond words for the kindness and attentiveness of the whole staff, from the receptionists, nurses, anesthesiologists, drs, on and on. They made me feel comfortable knowing I was extremely nervous. Great team! Thank you!
