Had a total knee replacement with Dr. Hartzband four years ago. Was very impressed with HIMSELF! No bedside manner! Have had pain/discomfort since my surgery--worse than before I had it done. Finally went to a different orthopedic surgeon and told me that my knee was 30% off what it is supposed to be! Getting a replacement/replacement this Friday by my new surgeon!

Only thing I can say is it's been 4 years since the hip replacement surgery and I am worse off now than before the procedure. Instead of only having an arthritic hip, I now have a completely numb leg and foot. I would hold off on these procedures as long as possible. Back and Pain Doctors have concluded this was due to nerve damage from the surgery. These procedures are not as simple as they make them sound.

I was recommended the Hartzband group after getting two conflicting diagnoses on a knee issue. It started with a baker's cyst and an MRI showed a tear in the meniscus. The second doctor gave me a gel shot and scheduled surgery. When my appointment with Dr. Seidenstein came my knee was much better due to the gel shot I had received. Mind you even though I had advised the other doctor that I was almost pain free he was still recommending surgery. Dr. Seidenstein looked at all my X-rays and MRI's and then gave me some great news; no surgery needed.

He explained that I had very bad arthritis in my knee. Yes, I did have a tear in the meniscus but if the pain was being caused by the tear the gel shot would not have worked like it did. A year later I had one more gel shot. It has now been three year since I've had any problems with that knee. I can't tell you how grateful I am to Dr. Seidenstein and The Hartzband group.

I almost had a surgery that was totally unnecessary but even more than that Dr. Seidenstein took the time to explain everything to me and answered all my questions. If you have a knee problem please do yourself a favor and go to The Hartzband Group!

It has been 2 1/2 years since Dr. Seidenstein did my hip replacement surgery (March 2016). I do not have one complaint about this group of professionals. From the very beginning everyone was thorough, kind and very professional. I had already been through two surgeries by doctors from a different practice and was in extreme pain - with no hope that I would ever be normal again or pain-free. Dr. S brought me so much joy from my very first visit as he assured me that he would do all he could to fix my issues.

I was surprised when he scheduled my surgery right away as my previous doctors had made me wait as long as a year to operate! But Dr S. could see that I was in a great deal of pain and he was so compassionate and concerned about my well-being and quality of life! As someone who had been living with chronic, debilitating pain for over a decade - that was music to my ears!

I had been disabled to the point of only being able to walk with a walker for 3 years up to this point. I had only "dreamed" of the luxury of being able to walk on my own - and pain-free! Well, 5 hours after Dr. Seidenstein did my hip replacement surgery, I was walking down the hallway at the hospital with a big smile on my face.with no pain! Those of you who suffer from severe joint pain can relate when I tell you what a treasure and gift that is!

I had to re-learn to walk and balance myself again, but after 6 months of physical therapy, my friends and family were amazed to see me walking normal again, and in NO PAIN! Within 3 months after surgery I was off ALL narcotics that I had been taking for years - for my severe joint pain. I still run into people I haven't seen since before my surgery and they are absolutely amazed at how effortlessly I walk now!

I am too.and, I AM SO GRATEFUL! If you are looking for a group of professionals that are equipped, gentle and eager to help fix your joint issues - this is the Orthopedic group for you! Thank you Dr Seidenstein and Hartzband Center for giving me my life back!

Had bilateral TKR less than a year ago. In the beginnng I thought all was going well but notice going up and downstairs is worst. Sitting and standing is severe pain. Walking not pleasant. I still do my stretching and exercises and every time I go see the doctor he tells me everything is fine and to go back in a year. I am beginning to ask myself why did I do this surgery. It's like I'm on my own now and the doctor just wash his hands off me. So disappointed. Used to rate them highly. Not anymore.

I'm now almost two years out from a right hip replacement with Dr. Hartzband. I had a great experience, limited pain after surgery and walking same day. Two years later I run, jump, hike and don't even remember it's an artificial hip. Highly recommend Dr Hatzband!

I had my rt hip replaced last Oct by Dr. Hartzband. I like the fact that he schedules office visits in a timely manner. The surgery went well. The follow up visit 3 months later was painless. Having my hip replaced was the best thing I could do for myself because I was in such pain. I have recommended him to friends.

I just had an appointment today and I was very shock how I was treated. First, the doctor don't have much patience for someone like me because he totally interrupted me when I'm trying to tell me what happened to my injury and my last doctor didn't help much. Second, I was hoping this doctor would listen to his patient. I guess I don't need surgery that's why he doesn't have time for me. Third, he recommended cortisone shot for me.

I never had cortisone shot before and I'm very scared of needles. I told him "no" at first because I didn't know anything about it including any side effects. He told me that I refuse treatment and there is nothing he can do for me. I finally have to take the shot and asked him about side effects since he didn't tell me anything about it. Finally, I know he maybe a great doctor to many his patients but he wasn't even nice to me.

He didn't want to waste any time listening to me and what happen to me after my injury. I also felt like I'm beneath him and he is up above me. I hope I will never have to return to him in the future. I always have great doctor who would work and listen to his patient. I guess that's what you get from worker's compensation doctor.

I called the office today to have a consultation with any one of the doctors due to hip problems, the receptionist asked me, " what are your symptoms? "As I started she stopped me and without hesitation, go see a back doctor. I don't have any problems with my back! My doctor referred me to them, I guess the receptionist at this office are doctors too! Im surely going to HSS in NY!
