For more than 30 years, our patients have benefited from the highest level of cardiac care. The Heart Center is part of Huntsville Hospital Health System's Heart Institute and is the largest cardiac program in Alabama according to the American Hospital Directory. We strive to provide the latest, most effective technology to complement our experienced physicians and staff.

If your insurance is with a company not listed here, our Patient Accounting office will be happy to prepare and submit your claim. You should provide us with complete information, such as identification number, group number, and mailing address of the company. Patient Accounting can be reached at (256) 801-6912. Please make our office staff aware of your insurance coverage requirements such as pre-authorization and second opinion.
Our physicians see patients by appointment Monday through Friday. While you may request a specific physician when referred to Heart Center, you may be seen by many of our physicians over the time of treatment. All Heart Center physicians and staff will provide their utmost personal attention and individualized care.
The HealtheLife Portal offers Huntsville Hospital Health System patients a convenient and secure website to help manage your health. It gives you access to a summary of the information in your Electronic Medical Record (EMR), the ability to view test and lab results, and an easy way to communicate with your health care providers.

2:00PM appointment. 2:45 as I type this. NO RESPECT for MY TIME. I don't accept this kind of egregious conduct from any business, more especially one that is supposed to be looking out for my health. I will not be back.

I absolutely love the doctors and nurses at the Heart Center. However I called today and talked to a Sam on the phone. She sounded miserable and was so rude to me. She rushed me and treated me like I was stupid. Unprofessional to say the least. My husband has been coming to the Heart Center for years and I've never felt so disrespected.

Horrible customer service. Called and left a message with Dr Khan's nurse to request an appointment bc my father's new diagnosis of CHF and fluid retention. Two days later, she finally called back after I left a second message and offered an appointment a month out and advised him to go to ER if needed. Then after waiting a month for treatment, they called THE DAY BEFORE the appointment to cancel and offered one another month away. Why?

Because the doctor went on vacation. Seriously?!?!?! So, waiting 2 months to see a cardiologist for a new cardiac problem is ridiculous. He was seen by another cardiologist at a Crestwood-affiliated cardiologist within 24 hours of calling to request appointment. That's what customer service at a cardiologist office should look like. Shame on you, Heart Center. Clearly, the Heart Center just wants to make revenue on testing and not actual patient care. Worst doctors office experience in my father's 79 years of life.

Very prompt & on time. Only problem I had was getting ahold of anyone to make an appointment. Called for almost a week with no answer. Even got on the call back list with no return call. I'd recommend calling between 8-9am to get ahold of anyone

Moved here and needed a heart Doctor, and I was nervous about seeing a new Doctor. To my surprise these people were better than the ones I had in Texas. Everyone I've met has treated me with respect, kindness and most of all they take time to listen and answer all my questions. I'm blessed to have found a home for my Heart.

I love Dr Khan, but gettimg someone on the phone to schedule an appointment or change an appointment is awful. I'm trying to reschedule a test and I've been on hold for 15 min. very frustrating, especially when they give you the 24 hours prior notice for cancelation policy rules.

The Cardio Rehab Center on the 3rd floor is fantastic. Welcoming, caring, hard working staff. The nurses there just saved my life with their quick and professional actions and care. I suffered a Cardiac Arrest at the rehab center and survived! They are the best.

Absolute LOVE Dr Kanitkar! He goes above and beyond and he found a congenital Heart defect after my first visit, that no other cardiologist had found and I had gone to the other cardiologist for years! He has shown he genuinely cares about my overall health!

I had to take m 87 year old grandmother to see Dr. Kahn today (11/9/20)@1pm. Me and my uncle are my grandmothers caretakers. Dr. Kahn's nurse called us last week to make sure that she brought family members with her cause she was getting some results that weren't good. The nurse that took our temp on 1st floor was super nice. But the nurse that was by elevators on the 2nd floor was really rude and she cussed at me and my daughter.

There was no sense in her behavior. So you need to check your nurses attitude toward ppl. I have already contacted higher management. I know this COVID is really really serious but that's no reason to be so rude and disrespectful. I work on the frontline too during this pandemic. Get your ppl in check!

I had 2 stints placed yesterday by Dr. Ridner at the cath lab. From the moment I was taken thru that door I was made to feel cared about. Every nurse and patient care tech that came in contact with us made sure I understood and was ok with everything they did. No one was rushing thru their jobs and everyone was helping each other learn their way of doing things.

I have had multiple surgeries at different places such as MMCS, MMCN, UAB and Huntsville Hospital but the care not only me but also my husband received yesterday went way above any other place we have ever been. I would recomend the Heart Center cath lab staff and Dr. Ridner to anyone! Thank y'all for making my procedure not so scary and for taking care of me!

I like the heart center in most respects. Front desk, great. Sign in desk, great. Medical assistant that took me back to the exam room, great. Doctor V, young, caring, hip, a veteran. Great! Sign out desk and coordinator in the clinical area that makes follow up appointments and referrals, NOT so great. Brash, short fused, sorrowful, combative, arrogantly rude.

After 37 years with Dept of Army I can spot the attitude right off. I thought she might come over the desk and kick my ***. My crime? I asked a question after she raced through her edicts. The woman needs training in the fine art of giving an anxious, scared patient a little respect and humanity. Can't wait to see what I am charged for the visit. Take her fee off the bill.

The heart center has some of the best employees. From being greeted at the front desk to friendly faces on every floor. Any appointments that I have had done here have been done quickly and efficiently. All of my questions have been answered and I have left with more knowledge. I'm not a huge fan of the token system, but I understand why it is in place. The machine works most of the time, but is a pain when it has a moment of malfunctioning.

Registration and check in were fast and timely. I didn't have to wait very long at all for my appointment. The tech who did my EKG was efficient, kind, and competent. Dr. Mann was thoughtful - she took the time to listen to my questions and answered them all. Her nurse made sure that I understood follow up instructions and was clear that I could call if I needed more information.

The doctor we see is wonderful. But this is the poorest run Dr. Office we go to. My aged Mother has had cancer and has heart problems so we see several Doctors. This office will tell us that they will contact us when it is closer to time for the next visit. This visit is due in Feb. and it is now Feb. I have called for an apt. I have not heard back.

She is now running out of her medication and again I have called for it but have not gotten a call back. In the past I have had to call several times with no return calls. I would just expect that a office connected to Huntsville Hospital would be better run. The last time after several calls I finally went in and parked myself in their office until I could get confirmation that her medication would be called in.

It took over an hour of waiting. Another thing I have had problems with in the past was getting in when my Mother felt her heart was again out of rhythm. I know they are busy but you hate to go to the hospital to find out if she is in trouble. This Heart center has people that run a heart Cardiogram every time we go in so why can't they have a room set up for people that just need to make sure they are ok if they feel they are having problem?

Most people would rather have a Doctor visit bill as apposed to a hospital bill just to get a Cardiogram run. There are a lot of people out there that can't afford the hospital bill, but with insurance could get to the Doctor. Again we love the Doctor we see but feel the heart center needs better management.

While the check-in process seemed a tad impersonal, my technician (Sonal) was as kind, considerate, informative, and intelligent as any medical professional I've met. I wish I could request her when I have to return.

My experience with the heart center has been good. My doctor, Dr. Kraznow, is really knowledgeable and I trust him. I find their procedures reassuring because they have a system and it works so you are seen in a timely fashion. They have the equipment they need so you don't have to run all over town to get your testing done. The staff members are personable, and overall its a good place to go for heart issues.

Staff is friendly and I certainly appreciate the care I've been given. I'm leaving this note because I have a complaint about patient privacy. They don't use curtains and doors where they can. I saw way more of other patients business than I ever should have. People deserve their privacy. All these privacy statements we sign didn't seem to mean a whole lot.

My 84yr. old Mom is a patient of Dr. Laney's at the Heart Center. We have always been treated pleasantly and professionally. They have always been wonderful about answering any questions or concerns. My Mom's condition is stable at this time and has been for several years now. We attribute that partly to the excellent care she has received. We really like Dr. Laney and would definitely recommend him or one of the other professionals at this facility.

This place is run much more like a business, rather than a Doctors clinic, but hey, with the insurance companies f#$@*&^ everyone up the ass, I guess that's the way it has to be. I am ex-medical profession and they have good physicians here, and all the equipment to get ant test done quickly. I recommend this place and will come for all my cardiac needs
