Due to the increased success of modern surgical techniques, vasectomy reversals are now more common than ever. Whether you remarried, suffered the loss of a child, are fulfilling a religious obligation, or simply changed your mind, you can pursue fatherhood once again by having an outpatient-performed vasectomy reversal.

Vasovasostomy involves a surgical reversal of a previous vasectomy with the goal of obtaining sperm in the ejaculate of sufficient quantity and quality to achieve a pregnancy. The patient usually takes an oral narcotic and muscle relaxant one half an hour prior to arriving at the office.

This office is exceptional! All of the doctors are so informative and educate you so well. The entire staff is so kind and welcoming. It was a fantastic experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a urologist!

Our family has been here twice, once for a circumcision and once for another reason. During our consultation with Dr Roelofs for a circ, he explained the history as well as biblical reasons for circumcisions. Then he went on to tell us the cons of the procedure. I know more about this procedure then I ever thought I would know. We felt educated and confident in our decisions based on our consultation.

Our second visit with Dr Anema was very much the same. We went into the consultation not knowing what to expect and left with more knowledge then you would think possible. The staff and providers are kind, caring and you can tell they know their stuff. 100% recommend even if you aren't sure what your decision will be, they'll give you the tools to decide.

This office is about to perform a completely UNNECESSARY and very damaging surgery on a 2.5 year old boy without valid medical indication, and against the mother's wishes. They are also going against a court order! Shame on them for not standing up for the child's best interests and basic human rights. Disgusting

My son has been here several times beginning at the age of 5. He is now 16. Eleven years ago Dr. Steinhart did the intial 3rd and final surgery on my son. After 2 failed surgeries due to a prior dr. This place is great. The staff is very friendly and overall the place makes you feel important and well taken care of Dr. Steinhart has retired so we seen Dr. Barber.

He was very friendly and made my son feel comfortable, and answered all our questions and concerns. My son was given great care. Although we miss Dr Steinhart we were left in good hands with Dr. Barber. I highly recommend this place for any age child or young adult with urologic concerns. They are about the patient not the time or the money involved.

I'm super satisfied with the outcome as well as the staff. Thank you so much for all your help and time you took to care for my son. Shout out to some of the best drs around Grand Rapids Michigan! Cudos to Urologic Consultants.

These doctors do not care about getting sick patients in, they could care less. They will tell you to go to the ER or they will put you on a cancellation list which you will never get called for. You can't ever speak to a nurse you have to leave and message and wait all day for a call back. Then if you miss it you are back to square one. This is not a patient centered office they do whatever is convenient for them and makes money.

Took my son for a consult. They were able to get us scheduled right away. Once at the appt the wait was minimal and all the staff were very friendly. Extremely impressed with Dr. Barber's bed side manner. He was professional and reassured my husband and I along the way. Would reccomend him to anyone.

I've been trying since June to get an appointment with Dr. Jannah Thompson. I'm only in Michigan for the summer. I live in Florida and am on Medicare. You don't need a referral in Florida to see a specialist when you're on Medicare. I wanted to see Dr. Thompson because she specializes in Urology and Gynecology. I need a specialist in both areas. My doctor in Florida sent a referral.

Unfortunately it was for the wrong thing. I had them send another referral twice which I was told could not be found even though the fax number used was correct. Now I'm told Dr. Thompson is booked up until October. I will be back in Florida by then. I saw an internal medicine doctor in Michigan. He told me Dr. Thompson would be a good doctor to see.

He did not treat me for my issues so he wasn't the right doctor to give me a referral. I'm totally disappointed with the response I received from Urologic Consultants. I don't have a clue if Dr. Thompson is even aware of the issue.

Travelled from Muskegon for an appointment for my son. Was under the impression that the main objective was to have an ultrasound done. At the appointment I am informed that the ultrasound tech is not there, in fact has been out of the office all week. Dr. spends maybe 10 mins with me, telling me this and mostly basic things that we already know. I left with nothing gained but an advisement to schedule another ultrasound appointment, and a bill for this waste of a visit.

There was absolutely no reason why they couldn't have contacted me beforehand to reschedule my appointment for a time when an ultrasound tech would be there. Instead they chose to let me drive to GR to tell me in person, then charge me for it. I will look for a more competent office with better communication skills, and I recommend others do the same.

I had a positive first appointment with PA Brenda (thanks) who determined my kidney stone needed to be removed. This was on a Monday. She advised that Dr. Curry's scheduler would call me in a few days to schedule the procedure. Despite several attempts during the week to speak with "ANNE" and leaving messages, she would not return my call. On Thursday afternoon, of the same week, the receptionist called to advise that Anne would "get to me" on Friday. Thursday night after a third trip to my local ER, I was transferred to Butterworth to have the stone removed Friday morning.

It's now Saturday morning, I am home, and Anne still has not called to schedule. I am sure Dr. Curry is a great doctor. Anne his nurse is a terrible communicator. From my very first message, all she had to do was relay a message to me through the receptionist. That is part of patient care too. I know this because I have (2) doctors and (3) nurses in my immediate family. You need to do better Anne. The one star is for you and you only.

My son who is 10 1/2 months old just had to have surgery on June 13th. I cannot even begin to tell you what an amazing job Dr. Barber did. The staff has been very helpful the entire time. I have already called with questions a few times and they have called me back very fast and answered them well. I fully recommend this clinic.
