My husbands leg surgery was unexpected and severe. We followed up with nurse practitioner Liberati B Jay, for staple removal and X-rays. She was a perfect joy. Helpful, caring and professional She was able to calm our fears yet she'd light on the seriousness to remain patient. Liberty was a delight. The Rothman team of professionals were all outstanding Thank you

Wonderful experience with Dr. Karanjia and his level of care/expertise. He provided a thorough assessment and got right to the point, which I appreciate. He immediately provided clear direction and instructions for recovery. During my follow up, he provided a plan to execute clearly and concise.

Dr. Beredjiklian's Nurse Lee, is an arrogant self centered idiot. Although I had a good experience with my former Surgeon Christopher Dodson and his staff, Dr. Beredjiklian's staff is very nasty and disrespectful and when you ask for a manager the Nurses become irate. I have never seen anything like this before. The Founder is probably turning over in his grave, knowing how is company is run now.

Wish I could give 6 stars. I showed up with a lot of questions and Samantha Biddle patiently and expertly answered all of them. I never felt like I was being rushed, I honestly can't remember the last time a medical professional took as much time with me. Pretty obvious that she loves her job. I am so grateful that my orthopedic needs are in the hands of Samantha and Dr. Levicoff. I feel really lucky.

The Rothman Institute is a sprawling orthopedic practice located downtown at 9th & Chestnut St. on the 5th floor. You check in on the kiosk at the front desk. I was initially confused because the signage on how to check in was clear but I couldn't locate the kiosk until one of the ladies behind the counter snarkily pointed it out as if I should have known.

I could have done without her attitude however, after realizing that I had completely forgotten the fact that I'd lost my debit card and would have a co-pay I asked if they could bill me and they did accommodate that request and I appreciated it. Six months ago I dropped something insanely heavy on my left foot. It was painful for awhile but I powered through it until recently that pain returned along with some swelling and obvious damage to a toe nail.

The technician gave me a quick x-ray and then Dr. Wellens explained I had actually broken my toe. She also cleaned up the toe nail for me and gave me some instructions on caring for the toe since it's healing on its own and past the point of needing to be set. She examined both my pinkie toes that have some irregularities to them that can be corrected with surgery but I have to think more about that later. I also got a doctor's note to ease my work duties so score right there. If you are having any foot problems I highly recommend.

This was a one year follow up to partial knee replacement surgery performed by Dr Good in April 2021. Dr Good has retired but I was able to connect with his PA, Liberty Jay. She was involved on my treatment team. Today she reviewed my surgical history (both knees) and confirmed I have achieved full restoration of my Range of Motion. I have no restrictions on my daily activities.

I just had hip replacement surgery 5 weeks ago with Dr. Levicoff and follow up visit with PA Samantha Biddle. Both of them and all the staff are totally awesome. They did my left hip two years ago and this time it was my right. They made the whole experience fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone and I have. Great, Professional, and Efficient. Thank all so much!

I have been seeing Samantha Biddle for about 3 years for inections in my knees. She makes the process relatively pain free. She is knowledgeable, patiently answers my questions and addresses my concerns as well as being kind and compassionate.

Ok. Did not have a good first experience with Rothman Orthopedics. Decided to give them another chance. The first time I went was for my foot. currenlty is for my neck. Was told to bring disk and report for MRI. When I get there they need to do xray. I had already had an xray and had I known would have had it sent over. I had to pay 20.00 for another X-ray.

The doctor recommended me for surgery. I was scheduled but needed to reschedule due to family issue. Went to preadmission testing but Rothman had that the appointment was cancelled due to surgery being cancelled. I said it was rescheduled and not cancelled. They took me regardless but the surgical date was not confirmed in the system. While there I call Rothman and find out the surgeon is not there on the date I was provided.

I either had either to keep the original surgical date or schedule another that was also not convenient. i explained that I am already nervous about the surgery and that this was not filling me with confidence. Needless to say I need to go elsewhere. Though the surgeon seemed to be very good and has good reviews I don't trust the management of this place.

I had Knee replacement at Rothman with Dr. Carl Dermenjian. Nothing but problems and pain only got worse. I Tried hard to get better, nothing worked. After getting 3 of the best revision surgeons opinion, All 3 Doctors said it needs to be redone. So 7 months after replacement I have to have it taken out and redone. I have come across and heard of 6 other people with big major problems also.

Doctor was very thorough explaining the procedure. She helped relieve any apprehension I had. Entire process was over quickly. Rode my bike to work pain free less than 24hrs after treatment. Would definitely recommend this treatment for pain before considering surgery.

My daughter had knee surgery by Dr Dodson the other day, and everyone at the surgery center made an already stressful situation better. From the time you check in, the staff are warm, helpful and informative. Everyone from the surgeon to the administrative staff made sure my daughter received the best card available to her. I highly recommend Rothman and the surgery center to anyone looking for A+ orthopedic care.

I went to Rothman for total knee replacement, as Dr. Sharkey was recommended by a friend of mine. I started going this past spring and was very satisfied with Dr. Sharkey, his nurse and his wonderful physician's assistant, Barbara. I felt like Dr. Sharkey listened to me and gave great suggestions for dealing with my pain. Barbara was compassionate and also gave me the time I needed for questions.

One thing that surprised me was how quickly I was was able to get an appointment, both for office visits and for the actual surgery. I soon discovered why. Once I went to schedule the surgery I found out that Dr. Sharkey would not be seeing me again. He operated at the end of October and I didn't get any follow-up until 6 weeks later by his PA.

I also discovered that he would not allow me to begin physical therapy until 2 weeks after surgery, his philosophy being that there would be too much swelling to begin before then. The physical therapist at the hospital gave me a few exercises to do at home and they sent me on my way. The two weeks following surgery were just awful. I was severely swollen and had no one to turn to.

I tried to do the exercises as instructed on my own, but without any guidance I didn't get very far. Once I finally got to therapy my knee bend was just 35 degrees! My therapist said he's never had a patient with such a limited range. He also sees hundreds of knee-replacement patients every year, and this was the first time he came across a patient that had no therapy prescribed at all.

My opinion is that once they get you in for surgery, you are really on your own. Not all physicians at Rothman advise this two-week wait time for therapy. It didn't work for me. When I saw Dr. Sharkey in the hall after my visit with the PA his response to my complaint was, "Oh well, short-term pain for long-term gain." I feel that if he actually saw and spoke to patients after surgery he would get feedback about the beginning of therapy and not just use his "research" to make this vital decision. Needless to say I won't be going back. I was just a number at Rothman. I'm sure Dr. Sharkey is a great surgeon but with no follow-up at all, you are on your own.

Inconsiderate, unprofessional company with only a "call center " that keeps you waiting for hours. Cancelled and rescheduled an appt. without consulting me, kept me on hold for two hours, no regard for my time or schedule and no way to reach the doctor's office. Required me to take off work twice to accommodate their limited hours. Day ends at 3 for them. Please use Main Line Health instead of this unprofessional, disrespectful company.

I have a multi year history with Rothman dating back at least 5 years. I've had a hip replacement and knee treatments. When I went in for a broken toe, which turned out to be gout, they totally missed it. My 2nd DR nailed it OVER the phone. Not to be deterred, I went back for a torn rotator cuff. Imagine my surprise when they DEMANDED full payment in advance! WTF?

Blue Cross said they had never even heard of that policy with anybody. Greedy bas&^#ds who don't value customer loyalty. Orthopedics is a commodity, they are business looking to get rich and medical care is just a tool to them. My $$ count and they are not getting any.

EXTREME PAIN AND NEEDED AN APPOINTMENT SOONER THAN 3 WEEKS. BEST AVAILABLE WAS 2 WEEKS. I regretted writing but felt I needed to. I'm a repeat patient. I have used Rothman exclusively since they have good doctors. Well, I injured my knee on a sunday. It didnt seem bad but by tuesday, I could not walk or bend my knee. The pain was unbearable. I tried to make an appointment and was given 3 weeks. Since the pain was so bad, I couldnt sleep or walk they improved to 2 weeks. I ended up going to another orthopedic organization. I'll never use rothman again.

Definitely have to say, waiting has gotten a lot better. Waiting in waiting room and then when I went back was each less then 10 minutes. I started seeing Dr Tucker for my shoulder in EHT. I was referred to him after I needed to see a surgeon. He was great! Nice bed side manners, likes what he does and takes the time to explain everything. I had a procedure done and since that didn't work, I had to have a follow up appointment. Dr. Tuckers appointments weren't til the following month, so they asked if I wanted an appt with his PA.

I was hesitant, but I knew anyone that was under Dr. Tucker, had to be good and he was! Thomas Geary, PA was excellent! I would go back to him in a heartbeat. Would recommend both in a heartbeat!

I went to Rothman Orthopaedic in Doylestown, Pa for a second opinion on my hip. Due to my young age (37) not many surgeons close to me would do a total hip replacement on me. I saw Dr. Paul Courtney and he was nothing short of amazing. He was excellent in detail and explaining the procedure to me and took the time to thoroughly answer all my questions.

Then we set up a surgery date and off we went. Him and his surgical team were great and made me feel comfortable and relaxed before I went in. He also took the time to see me later that night and the next morning. And best part is I am now pain free. Can't thank Dr. Courtney and Rothman enough!

I came in with severe knee pain. I only had an X-Ray done and I was seen by Dr Bishop for maybe 5 minutes. She was not friendly at all, and I felt like she was rushing me out of there since she did not think I needed surgery. She misdiagnosed me for obvious reasons, she had not asked me to get an MRI. I was sent by her to get 3 months of physical therapy, which did nothing, since I was misdiagnosed. Furthermore, since my appointment, I have been getting multiple surprise bills as well. The whole experience has been a disaster I do NOT recommend this practice at all.

If you have more then 1 body part hurt, then don't go here. Doctors only look at 1 body part per appointment, the appointment's are a rushed 10 minutes because there's a ton of patients crammed into a day, and scheduling is not on the same page as the Doctors. My first appointment is when I learned the 1 body part rule. You get 10 minutes with the Doctor, so I asked scheduling to book 2 appointments.

They said not necessary, here's the appointment. My second appointment the doctor's assistant tells me only 1 body part, scheduling was wrong, so now I've got to come in yet again. This second appointment is a follow up to the first. Doctor's and money are more important than the patients here, and you have to pay for that. So for 2 body parts I'm looking at minimum 3 times I'll have to come in, assuming no more follow ups, and each appointment is not cheap. Plus I've had to choose what body part hurts more.

Today, 8/31/20 I was scheduled for an x-ray and follow up for my injured shoulder at 8:50am. This appointment was made after my last appointment on 8/3/20. When I arrived I was told I was not in the system for 8/31 but for 9/14. This was frustrating because I received a call last week confirming the appointment. I also have on my refrigerator the business card given to me by the individual who scheduled the appointment which has 8/31 at 8:50am on it.

I unfortunately did not bring the card with me to todays appointment because I did not think I needed it. The staff was not very helpful and I felt I was inconveniencing them and that they did not believe me. I was looking forward to this appointment to see the healing progression of my shoulder and the Doctor told me at the last appointment that he would be starting me on some sort of physical therapy at my 8/31 appointment.

Now I have to wait until 9/14 for my appointment and my back to work date was set for 9/24/20. I am extremely frustrated with the level of service I received today and I was also supposed to follow up with my workmen's comp nurse and inform her of my progress and now I can't. Not to mention the hour and a half of my time Rothman wasted this morning.

I've been travelling back and forth, 2 hours each way for several years. When I walked in there I had MRIs, multiple tests and other documentation, I was told I needed surgery. I have a witness who was with me a majority of the time. I drove back and forth costing me well over a thousand dollars with copayments, deductibles and travel fees over the next 1.5 years, getting multiple injections and more tests.

I was told I needed surgery. At my most recent appt. After spending 125.00 in travel costs, deductibles etc, not including all of the time off of work incurred, I was told I needed another test. Suddenly I did not need surgery after having another mri done. The same mri I walked in there with. I didn't even speak to DR. Parvasi, in fact, the person simply said, you don't need surgery, get more injections. Bora? PA?

I have documentation of everything prior, Including the person who initially went to the appt. With me with dr. Parvisi who distinctly heard him him say at the initial visit I needed surgery (who happens to be a lawyer). I'm not sure what suddenly changed as I was told to "get more injections" even after previous injections weren't helpful.

Not only will I be perusing another opinion (as several other tests seem to disagree with everything) but being told to "get some more injections" by someone over the phone who isn't even the doctor, is unprofessional. I can elaborate more, I have every single appt. Documented through my employment and all previous diagnostic testing. Aka, I was told, deal with the pain, we know it's not fixable and you're range of motion will never be okay, suddenly I was completely disregarded.

I will be requesting all of my history and all specific notes forwarded (at no cost since I already paid to have many sent there). I do not appreciate being lied to and I'm unsure why after several visits where I was told I needed surgery, including my most recent visit 2/2020, suddenly I don't. When I was there the staff was nice enough, over the phone not so much.

Let me be straight, my first test was done in 2016 after running a marathon, where I was diagnosed. 2020, nothing is wrong and I should deal. I am unhappy and thoroughly disappointed in this supposed "institution". I will not be toyed around with. This has been a very unprofessional situation indeed

I've been very happy with the care I've received at Rothman, and this office has some very friendly office staff. Yes, I also have run into some here that do not have very good people skills, but I felt that the doctors I've had appointments with have been invested in making sure that I get the best care. Most recently, I had to work with Dr. K for my foot issue. Jumping rope and anything other really than walking had to take a breather for several weeks. Dr. K had been able to make a simple stretching recommendation and had me reduce my pain immediately.

Future visits, although quick, I felt I got the care that and recommendations I needed. All my questions were answered. I had to purchase out-of-pocket (damn insurance didn't cover orthotics) very expensive inserts but then Dr. K showed that he, too, needs them and has had his for years. As far as making and keeping appointments, I felt that they kept me on schedule as best they could, and my only one problem was having a work note signed which I could not get done right there; I had to wait about a week for it to be filled out and signed.

It was faxed to me, though, saving me another trip. This Center City facility is close to my work, so it was convenient to be able to get to during the day for me. Some doctors are here only once a week so you have to accommodate them rather than the other way around. Initial visits for x-rays (which they can perform instead of you having to go to a hospital but you have to pay for them) went smoothly, and again, all staff I dealt with were nice and helpful. I've come here in the past for ankle issues, and shoulder problems.

I never felt like I was part of a revolving door of patients. If the doctors I dealt with did not have adequate people skills, then maybe I would have went elsewhere, but this was not the case for the several visits I had to make over the past years here at Rothman.

I had to write a review about my experience at Rothman because it was so in contrast to a lot of reviews posted. I was nervous going to my app't because so many other people here had experienced long waits, unpleasant people, etc. - and my visit could not have been further from that! I arrived early for a 2:15 pm app't, and they (a) checked me in early, (b) waited patiently for me to call my PCP and get the proper referral (why can't the health system make the whole process more straightforward?), and (c) had me x-rayed (twice) and in and out of the exam room by 3:30 pm - with a diagnosis in hand.

Everyone was pleasant (receptionists, 2 x-ray technicians, NP, doc) and listened to me. Overall, couldn't be much happier with my experience. I have a follow-up app't in a month, will update then. But overall I was very happy with my experience at Rothman.

Normally, I know people complete feedback surveys to complain. However, I am doing so to say thank you to Dr. Alyson Axelrod for all the help that she has afford me with my back issues. The pain inflicted to my nerves from picking up a desk has been most excruciating. Dr. Axelrod and her team have been extremely caring, compassionate, sympathetic, hospitable, and kindhearted during the entire process. Kodus to the Rothman Institute for adding her to their practice and I will refer anyone that I know to Dr. Axelrod.
