Went there a few years ago and they do a bait and switch with billing and I had top rated insurance. Billed me for allergy shot serum before I even got the allergy shot and insurance would not cover of shot. When I questioned them they told me I didn't read the packet I was provided. That's because that it wasn't in there. They performed two "surgeries" that literally took 10 minutes each (Sinaplasty and rhinoplasty ) and billed insurance $24, 000 for it. Dr. Hoisington does not have a good bed side manor to say the least, he's rude and demeaning. ENT also sent me a bill for $1500 when insurance covered all procedures, I was only responsible for my copay. Had to settle with thru bbb with them. Needless to say I can tell you beware the billing scams.

Terrible, terrible, terrible experience. Was treated poorly & dropped a patient after a few visits, because I asked the allergy person Jen too many questions about my allergy shots, as this was a new clinic I had started. Her response was, was I scared, you know you could go elsewhere. That was said 3xs, y would any clinic as a new patient say that.

Then she went on to say that she has been doing this for 22 years etc. Conversation went left quick. Next thing I know I'm getting a phonecall, the day of my appointment, the Dr is dropping my care. After I told Jen I still wanted my shots. I agree with someone else in the reviews that says they pull the click n bait switch. Got a bill for $67 I'm not Medicare, & my insurance co covers everything.

Small business, no social skills, staff not all of the staff, get attitudes if you ask questions about your care. That's a Nono there. If you are considering that place please go to The Iowa Ent Center with Dr Wright. Superb care, delightful staff & phenomenal care

They are very friendly and very professional. They also are very dedicated to finding out the problem and getting it fixed. I would highly recommend them to anyone with an ongoing problem.

As most of you know back in March my son got ear tubes at the ENT Clinic of Iowa. We had to pay out of pocket bc they didn't take his Insurance, but he needed it done. The day of surgery the receptionist was so nice. The doctor was great. The experience was good, Specially for wht was happening. Fast forward two week after surgery. He started complaining abt his ear hurting.(which he doesn't do).

The doctor told us that if anything goes on with his ears, he wants to deal with it. To call him, not the pediatrician. So I call the clinic. I have never been treated and talked to so rudely. They acted like him having ear pain was normal and it was ridiculous tht I was bothering them abt it. But made and appt with them anyways. While I was in the phone with them I set his month out checkup so it was scheduled.

Well bc it was 3 days before they could get him in. I called his pediatrician to see how urgent he thought it was. He knows my son. He was fully booked with appointments but he wanted to see him tht day. So I cancel our appt with the ENT clinic for later tht week. He ended up having a ear canal infection. Which apparently is way more painful. (Not Something tht could have waited) since we paid out of pocket I paid for everything before surgery so it was all done and taken care of. Welp I get a bill in the mail.

Call the place to ask wht tht is for bc I prepaid. They say they don't let u prepay. Wht? Welp I did we had to pay 3 different bills. So I call the clinic to ask them abt it. And they told me they don't deal with tht so they don't know how to help me. (They were the ones tht gave me the numbers to who I needed to pay). I say " wht you mean u can't help me?" " you guys did the surgery.

You guys gave the numbers to who I needed to pay." She says "we don't deal with anesthesia so idk wht u want me to help u with?".My mom shows up to his month check up. Just for the receptionist to b super rude. Then go on to tell her they don't have an appt scheduled. They cancelled the month check up when I cancelled the other appt. Wht is this world coming to?! Is there no such thing as customer service anymore?! Does everyone just hate their life so much tht they have to b completely miserable to deal with?! I will never go bck there again.

I just had the worst experience with the scheduling department! I called, as a new patient, asking if I could see an ENT as I have been experiencing eye pain for months and after my vision exam it was recommended that I do so. After talking to Laura and explaining my situation, she told me that they "probably can't help me because it doesn't sound like a sinus issue." I said, how do I know it's not a sinus issue until I am seen by your ENT?

She responds that they probably won't be able to help me. I said I guess I will try to see another ENT then, and she says, OK Thank you! And hangs up the phone! I am just in awe - never have I ever been treated so rudely by a front desk staff person at a clinic that I am trying to give business to. I hope the physicians and management at this clinic know how their staff member, Laura, is representing them.

They are super friendly most of the receptionist know me by name even when Covid-19 happened and I had to wear a mask I've been going there for over three years a few of the nurses are not the best at giving shots but they aren't that bad the Dr. a little cocky but he is is still good.

My Insurance covers everything basically. Staff is friendly and helpful. Im late for my allergy shots almost every week yet there is no fuss. My excrescence has been very pleasant in the last 3 years, even with the building change.

I'm sorry to hear the bad reviews because I've had nothing but WONDERFUL service from my very first call. Stormy, the receptionist was Fantastic and made me feel good about taking the right steps to get my ENT concerns handled. At my appointment everyone was great! Dr. Hoisington was to the point, thorough and quite friendly. They offered me allergy testing and the nurse, Jennifer was EXCEPTIONAL!

She took my blood with no problems, no pain. I've since called back and Val offered me a free nettipot and other supplies if available. They also accept my insurance and that is a HUGE bonus! Thank you ENT Clinic of Iowa!

I only gave this place two stars instead of one because my allergist and doctor are very nice and explained everything to me thoroughly. However, they (I don't know who or even how) put in the wrong code and I was charged 3 times more than I should have. I've called back so many times to try to get it fixed. I've called my insurance to see if they've gotten requests, calls or anything from them to change it.

They haven't. It's been two months. Still not fixed. For that I feel like I can't go back without being charged a stupid amount for even a shot, and I've stopped going the past month for that reason. I was going to pick it back up as soon as it got fixed but they've just left it as is. Fix your billing department. This is ridiculous. Who just emails the insurance company and leaves it at that?

You don't even call them? It's really frustrating and I don't think I'll go back even though I spent also a stupid amount for things I didn't need already - that you also don't even check for whenever I went to get a shot (EPI Pen) that you said I was required to have. Seriously a waste of time and money.

First time I have ever been to a medical clinic that has locked their doors for lunch while patients wait outside. Very unprofessional and should be easy to rotate staff for lunch and at least have your clients wait in the lobby.

I have been seen in this office several times, and have had a positive experience at each visit. Staff is professional, some more friendly than others but you find that at every office and in every profession. Relatively easy to make an appointment, and I appreciate the overall environment of making any procedure necessary as comfortable as possible.

I'm impressed with the knowledge of the physician and his staff, and that several of the staff have worked there for several years. I would have given it 5 stars except that it is a little difficult to find, and the parking lot is packed early in the morning making it hard to find a place to park, but those things are minor when compared to the overall excellence I've experienced here.
