Several eye diseases, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration, do not show noticeable symptoms in their early stages. An examination by an optometrist is the best option to ensure your eyes are happy and healthy. During your exam, your pupils will be dilated so our team can see your retina. This will allow us to check up on your vision and screen for eye diseases or disorders. If further testing is required our optometrists will recommend possible testing or a visit with our highly specialized ophthalmologists.
Cataract removal can have many benefits for your vision and impact how you live your daily life. Our eyes function very much like a camera. You have two natural lenses in each eye. One lens on the surface of your eye, and a second lens within your eye, called the crystalline lens. Together these lenses focus images inside the back of your eye on the retina.

I'm a new patient to this office. Self check-in kiosk asked for drivers license. Asked for social security number, which I declined to give. Copay was taken also. Very busy office, lots of people in waiting room. Sign on the wall says if you have waited more than 20 minutes past your appointment time notify staff. One patient waited an hour before saying anything, obviously didn't see the sign.

I waited about 25 minutes. Once inside, I was seen by a student doctor. He was friendly and professional. He cleaned the equipment with a disinfecting wipe before using it. He did several tests and pictures of my eyes. He explained was he was doing. Good interaction. Once he was done, I waited maybe 5 minutes for Dr Coulson. He looked over the information on the computer and run a few tests as well.

Friendly and professional. I told him I was given a list of optometrists from my insurance, 21 pages long. I picked him based on distance from home, and researching his profile, which was very good. He was happy to hear that! Once he was done I waited in waiting room maybe 5 minutes for my next appointment and prescription for glasses. My insurance does not cover the prescription which cost $52. Total time in this office was about 1.5 hours. Overall good experience.

Dr. Berlin was extremely accommodating and worked in a much need surgical procedure on very short notice into his busy day. He is a true professional who safely and effectively remedied my eye issue in a very timely manner. Will definitely return if/when needed and highly recommend.

Dr. Howard Berlin - was not a good provider for me. I arrived for surgery consult of my eye. He examined my eyes, then said "we can take care of that " and before i could ask any questions about my surgery he LEFT THE ROOM! I then asked his medical assistant whom can i speak with about questions to my surgery - she replied "with the scheduler". I came for a surgery consult which means i need to ask about my concerns and have a discussion about risks and safety.

I then spoke with their 2 different surgery schedulers and informed them of my frustrations only to hear - "We have heard similar complaints about Dr. Berlin". Why then is he still doing this to others!?! I cancelled my surgery with him

Most importantly the quality of service was EXCELLENT.Dr Coulson and his staff were very professional and knowledgeable. However the non timeliness of the appointment and length of waiting was UNACCEPTABLE! I was in the building for 2 hours of which 90 minutes were various times of waiting! Front office and scheduling needs to run much much better!

Waited 20 minutes in main room only to wait in another room. Waited another 20 minutes only to wait in an empty room with no Dr. Total time 1.5 hours for a 10 min consult. The staff is really nice though. Just need to schedule these things better.

Every year I get my annual eye exam, I'm greeted by very friendly staff who are engaging and pleasant to talk with. They are very accommodating there. My eye examination by Dr Josh Perkins is always very thorough and personal which gives me the trust I need to return each year. They are all top notch people there!

I had an appointment with Dr. Horstman (from Barnett Delaney). Before he walks into the room, his assistant put anesthesia drops in my eyes, just in case the Dr wants to do a procedure! Dr walks in, does not introduce himself, doesn't look at me and decides he needs to stick a needle in my eyes to stop the bleeding. He didn't ask, he just adds more anesthesia and walks out.

He didn't warn me that he was going to start and now my right eye is extremely bloody in the right "corner " where he inserted the needle. When I told him I wanted the laser treatment in the surgery center, he said there was no need-he could do it in the office. I again said I wanted it done in the surgery center and I wouldn't feel a thing. I told him I would just schedule with another Dr. I don't ever want to see him again!

Do not go here! Horrible experience! I would give 0 stars if I could! I scheduled my appointment 3 weeks in advance, confirmed my insurance at that time. Up to the day before my appointment, I received 2 emails, 1 text, and 2 phone calls confirming my appointment. 24 hours before my appointment, I received a call from the office telling me that they do not accept my insurance.

This is not my first time going to this office with my current insurance. It is VSP. One of the most popular if not the most popular vision policies on the market. I was told it would be minimum $230 to pay out of pocket. Horrible experience. Barnet Dulaney Perkins eye center lost one customer for sure and I will definitely tell my story moving forward.

Dr. Perkins is super human being. It was my first encounter as patient. I felt I knew him for long. He treated me so nicely I run short of words to describe the experience. He asked what I am expecting from surgery. He told me I will make you happy. As a patient these words are all that I want to hear from my doctor. Thank you Sir, Dr. Perkins. The staff member Lora, & Di are very helpful. Dr. Singh is very thorough in his work. The office staff in reception counter is really very good. Thank you very much. Appreciate.

Dr. Berlin is always prompt and professional. Great sense of humor. Takes the time necessary to answer any questions. Only problem is that Barnet Dulaney is so successful that there wasn't a single parking spot available for patients on the day of my appointment. I had to park way over at Nordstrom Rack. One of the assistants told me it was because 5 doctors were in the office that day and all of the providers were on site. perhaps whomever schedules resources should take into consideration the chaos this creates in the office for both staff and the patients. Otherwise, great eyecare practice.

Dr. Coulson is awesome. He is caring and concerned about his patients. He takes time with his patients, giving them time to express their concerns and listens to them. He also has personality plus, and is a joy to be around. I'm glad he is my Doctor!

Friendly, courteous and professional. Retinal tear discovered on a Thursday afternoon. Surgery scheduled and performed on Friday morning. Follow-up Saturday morning. Good communication. All went well. Very successful and appreciated.

Had a great experience with Dr Berlin. He and his staff answered all my questions about diabetic eye concerns. Told me what they are lntetested in watching on my eyes why it matters and what steps I should take with my regular family Dr. Feel like I'm in control of my eye health with Berlin & team as my partners/overseers.

I had a full exam appointment yesterday. The staff and Dr. Josh Perkins were very kind and professional. My appoinment was on schedule. David, the Technician was great, explaining testing before i saw Dr. Josh Perkins. They made me feel very comfortable and were knowledgeable about my cataractacts and my next steps toward surgery. My Son, Robert Smith had cataract surgery about 5 years ago.

His sight is great and had nothing but great things to say about Josh Perkins Father who did his surgery then. I'm looking forward to seeing well again very soon and having my Son's doctor perform the surgery. I'd recommend this office to all of my Friends and Family.

The initial appointment was good and I was ready schedule my Cataract surgery. Unfortunately no one followed up, and after 2 weeks I called to schedule. I was told someone would call me back 4 different times. Decided to go to another doctor to have my cataract surgery.

When I walked in and went to check in there was no one at the desk. Several staff were looking at something on another computer and didn't acknowledge my presence. They saw me but never said a word to me. Finally someone came to check me in. After that things went pretty smoothly. The doctor, who I had seen my last two visits was very good and explained everything to me in detail. His manner was very professional and friendly. Dr Coulton went above and beyond anything I have experienced with other providers.

During my appointment at Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center, I interacted with several assistants before I saw an optometrist. I thought that I'd be seeing a licensed physician or ophthalmologist; however, it turns out that this was not the case. A doctor did not test my eyes, there were three assistants who performed the various tests, and one of the assistants told me that she did not have a license and that she was taught by staff.

I had a field test, my prescription was checked, and photos were taken of my eyes. All from three different young woman. The assistant that checked the pressure on my eyes didn't seem able to come up with a consistent number on the pressure of my eyes. After being brought to several different rooms, the optometrist, Josh Perkins, came in to look at my eyes.

I had a few questions, and Mr. Perkins answers were brief, quick, and his demeanor included rote behavior. I didn't sense any concern for me as a patient. The assistants were polite and pleasant; however, understand that they are learners and they are the people performing the tests. There were five or six doctors working the facility when I was there.

There were many people in the front waiting room when I arrived at the eye center. There are other waiting rooms in different areas of the facility. It's like an assembly line at Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center. I waited many weeks for this appointment, only to learn that unlicensed individuals were responsible for conducting the tests. Knowing the reason for my visit, I deserved to be seen by a licensed physician or ophthalmologist. This was not the case.

This is by far the most professional, caring, and thorough organization I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with for all my eye care needs. I was recently diagnosed with a condition that required surgery. Dr. Perkins made me feel very confident and safe during the entire procedure. After care was also first class with Dr. Josh Perkins. I am extremely happy and satisfied with both Dr.s Perkins and can honestly say they are the best and their entire staff are top notch!

I just had my appointment yesterday with Dr. Coulson, in my opinion he is an amazing doctor. I got such a thorough eye exam and all my questions were answered. The staff I met and helped with my exam were all very polite and helpful. I have nothing but good to say about this facility.
