I have a very positive feedback for Curtis, who I assume, works as a technician at InSight. I had to wait for technician to get freed and while doing that observed Curtis in conversation with a senior citizen; I could not help but notice his patience, listening skills, and apparently engaging responses - as the lady who was sitting in front of him seemed very happy with what Curtis had to say!

It was a long conversation, and a very patient one, if I may add. In the meanwhile, another technician freed up and tried to help resolve my issue; she called their vendor and was trying to find replacement parts for my RB sunglasses. After Curtis got freed-up, he chanced to under my issue from the technician that was working with me; and without asking, offered to fix the problem - using entirely his skills, experience, and most importantly his willingness to help/assist others.

He saved me close 70$, did it with a smile, and did not expect anything in return. Not many operate this way, towards a total stranger these days! I hope InSight Vision appreciates having such a Customer Focused employee. I would certainly encourage you to checkout this place, and especially ask for Curtis, if you are shopping for eye-wear! I know I am going to be back, for sure.

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Carlson. She is wonderful! But, no matter when I schedule an appointment, there is always a long wait. Recently, I scheduled an appointment for 8:00, hoping to avoid the wait. I showed up a few minutes beforehand and waited in the lobby until the doors were opened a few minutes after 8 before I was let in. I was the only patient at the time. I signed off on the the usual paperwork and still waited another 10 minutes before someone called me in. Very disappointing!

Incredibly frustrated with this place. The technician struggled to align the measurement for my eyes. The dr left me waiting 20 min in the room despite it blizzarding outside and everyone in the office trying to quickly wrap up so we could get out of there. I ended up saying I'd come back on Saturday to get new glasses because of the weather. Showed up today and the person who does the glasses apparently hadn't shown up to work and was supposed to have 45 minutes before then.

The lady at the front desk was nice but basically had no clue if anybody would be showing up. I decided to go else where to purchase glasses only to find out they had put a hold on my insurance to purchase the glasses exclusively from them so I couldn't purchase else where. When I tried to call to have them remove the hold, nobody answered the phone. I only need glasses to wear in prep for my LASIK surgery which will likely need to be pushed back now because of this fiasco and nobody has called me back about it yet.

After many discussions with my regular eye doc about my severe nearsightedness combined with my persistent dry eye, she recommended ICL surgery instead of Lasik, so I went into Insight for an ICL consult. During my initial intake, my tech was friendly but seemed new. She had a hard time with the machines, and my dry eyes made the images she needed challenging to capture.

A colleague finally came in and helped her after a few failed attempts. I could still forgive that. Everyone has to learn somehow. But, my eyes were red and watery after all the analysis. So, I was shocked when they informed me that I was actually a great candidate for PRK (different laser surgery) instead of ICL. The doctor (who was very nice) went through the reasons I was such a good candidate and was ready to schedule me right then, till I asked, "what about my dry eye?" She said, "you have dry eyes?" I was a little shocked that a) the tech hadn't observed this; b) the doctor couldn't tell just by looking at me how inflamed my eyes were; c) didn't review my medical history to see this; and d) simply didn't ask about this well known barrier to laser eye corrective surgery.

I was told to get my dry eye under control and come back soon for this amazing surgical option. I pursued Lipiflow treatment and checked in with my regular doc who was shocked that they'd even recommended this. As a result, I went to a separate clinic that did an eval for PRK and quickly ruled me out due to my dry eye. I really trusted these second folks because it meant I needed to be referred out since they don't do any non-laser eye corrections.

They lost my business but earned my respect. I've now had my third consult with a practice who spent a lot of time examining my eyes and asking about my dry eye and will be pursuing ICL with them instead. Had I not been the kind of person who does extensive research prior to an appointment, I would have jumped at the chance to get PRK and suffered as a result.

Do not recommend. Your eyes are so important and this oversight on my dry eye and potential complications associated with it could have led to a lifetime of terrible eye discomfort.

The experience has been disappointing except for the first emergency visit. While the first emergency visit did not yield any important information, I was hoping the second visit (perhaps a second opinion as well) would especially since Dr. Gupta was wondering if she had missed out anything. However, to my surprise, I was technically not seen and that's after more than a 45 minutes wait for the ophthalmologist. Dr. Cruse got in and before he could do much, asked if I was seen by the neuro ophthalmologist (I wasn't) and explained that one, there has been symptoms progression since I was last seen and two Dr. Gupta has been working with UCH to move the appointment forward. Dr. Cruse took a quick less than 2 minutes look at my eyes and decided he would reach out to Dr. Gupta to get an update on her attempt to move my appointment to an earlier date.

He left the room for another 5 minutes or so, and came back with a response that Dr. Gupta has not heard back from UCH and they will be updating me as soon as they hear back from them. I am not a doctor but my reason for following up on this appointment was first to get a second opinion. Second, because there were symptoms progression from the last visit and the least I expected was due diligence but what I witnessed is indifference/negligence. This in spite of the fact that I am putting my life at risk for getting on the road.

These guys are the real deal and they're really friendly too! They were very efficient, got all the test done, and I made appointments for surgeries all in one hour. They had budgeted two hours, but I got out early and that's always a good thing for anyone. Thank you very much for being so efficient and so very professional! Carol DuBe

Dr. Carlson is amazing! She gives clear and concise answers to questions and really takes the time to make you feel comfortable. My main reason for writing this review is that I have to give HUGE thanks to Amber, the operations manager. In this day and age, not many people truly excel at their jobs but Amber does. She went out of her way to help me out on multiple occasions without having to ask.

It is a true mark of incredible customer care when someone takes the time to recognize potential problems ahead of time and addresses them head on. The insight team is lucky to have her. She is an incredible asset and I can't thank her enough. This woman deserves a raise. Or ten.

I came here to see an Ophthalmologist to check floaters in my eyes and from beginning to end, the customer service and care was excellent. The front desk and receptionist was very receptive and courteous at all times, the gentleman that initially checked my eyes was professional and highly knowledgeable, and the doctor was superior and caring. I would highly encourage others to visit or have their eye care tended by this great group of people.

Looking for a great place to have your eyes examined and get a great looking pair of glasses as well? Look no further. The Team at INSIGHT VISION is wonderful. Dr. Pethe does a great job ensuring that the prescription you get will maximize your vision. Now you want the latest and greatest in frames and lenses, they have so many to choose from in style and performance you can get exactly what you're "looking for."

I have been seeing Dr Carlson for 6 years. She saved my eye quite a few times. She is professional and courteous and she has the ability to make you feel like you are her only patient. I recommend her highly along with her amazing team, Kayla and Nate (Soon to be Dr. Nate)

This vision center always has long wait times I feel like I meet with the doctor for 5 minutes and the most of it is me getting examined by a nurse then waiting for another 30 minutes if not more to meet with my doctor. On top of that even when waiting to just have my glasses adjusted is a 30 minute wait. The glasses specialist Richard is also very rude and not fit to be in a customer service position.

He acts as if he's put out by even helping someone i rather work with anyone else. Dr. Barber is a great doctor but I don't think I'll come back to this center after being a customer for 3 years. The customer service is trash.

First off this is my second time visiting insight vision. Dr. Carlson and her group are very professional and the reason I came a second time. However the staff at the front desk are very unprofessional they were in the office talking and no one came to check me in! I finally asked a staff member that was walking by and she got the receptionist who was away assisting a doctor.

The other women were still in that side office just gossiping and ignore me. This was in August I had a total of 2 appointments on different days to complete all my vision testing along with my eye exam. So I finally get all my testing done. I realize a couple of weeks later that I never received my new prescription. I call and they fax it to me. I also get a bill for a copay but this was a medical exam and I've met my out of pocket and should be covered 100%.

I called billing they told me it's billed as two different codes and that's why I was billed. I question it but I'm met with no answers other than that's the way it is! Ok $35 bucks gone not a lot but it shouldn't be billed. Now a few months later I take this prescription to get new my new glasses and the prescription is wrong, they didn't measure me for distance.

Also I was examined by 3 different people for my vision test over these 2 appointments. I call today 1/4/20 and I try to explain this to the woman that answered the phone as I don't want to repay for the exam and she was rude and cut me off. Told me Dr. Carlson doesn't do optometrist work ( I know this) but I was still given an exam by 3 people in that office! I just want a good re-exam without the rudeness. I will never go to this office again!

Dr. Prouty OD misdiagnosed my condition and scared me to death with "chances are likely I would lose my ability to read in my left eye" next appointment was two weeks out. He was arrogant. I changed retinal doctors because of my experience. I was being generous giving him one star. The office staff gets five stars.

The woman that answers the phone / attempts to schedule appointments is the worst. She couldn't sound more put out to help the caller (I.e. do her job.) She fails to ask the right questions, sounds like she is falling asleep, and sighs loudly when you speak up to tell her what she should be asking. Unbelievably unprofessional and completely rude. Also, as others have mentioned, the wait is unreal. Once you get into a room, you'll just there forever.

Quality of work is very good but the wait is ridiculous; every time I go in they check me in on time than I wait for an hour or more to see a Doctor. Talking to others in the waiting room they have the same experience. I am looking for a better Doctor.

My 22 year old son had corrective surgery here and they did a great job. The surgery process was very professional, equipment was state of the art, the doc's were great, and his results were excellent. Also, their follow up after the surgery was top notch. Finally, I liked their pricing, one price for everything, did not feel "nickeled and dimed" (spelling?) - Strongly recommend.

I saw Dr. Alan Barber this past week and was very impressed with him. His patience, explanation of tests and recommendations for a path forward was very thorough and included multiple options for me to consider. Dr Barber took time to understand my hobbies and activities and how best to proceed with my eye care. However, my experience with the eye glass center (located in the same suite) was not so good.

I needed glasses and during the process of selecting some, I ended up leaving very frustrated. My eyes where dilated so my vision wasn't great and I needed assistance selecting a new pair and wanted to know what my insurance coverage was. The employee was impatient, lazy and a tad flippant. At one point she actually told me to bring the glasses that I was interested in to her (while sitting down) and she would help me.

My expectation was that she would walk around with me and help pick a pair that fit my face and let me know what the cost is and how much my insurance coverage was. (My insurance wasn't applicable for some brand names.) Needless to say, I left feeling rushed and frustrated. A very good Dr.'s visit was soured by a bad experience in the eye glass center. I'm giving this 3 stars primarily because of the Eye Glass Center. 5+ stars for Dr. Barber as he was outstanding.

I went in for a consult on Lasik. Everything was fast, everyone was friendly and let me ask a million questions patiently. I'm rating three stars because I was told it's an extra $300 if I want to finance the procedure through CareCredit. I wasn't planning on financing it but I feel like that's an unnecessary charge. Or if it is necessary I wish it was explained why there was an extra fee.

This fee was not charged at 3 other Lasik offices I've been to. The Lasik costs are about the same for all the Lasik consults I've been to and this one was right in line.

I was very pleased with my annual contact lens eye exam and fitting here. This is a big practice that does both basic eye exams and has a lot of ophthalmologists for patients with more serious eye care needs or those who are having LASIK. The office was very efficient and my exam went smoothly. Dr. Barber was very personable and helpful. I told him I wanted to stick to the brand of contacts I have been used to wearing for the past 10 years, which he did not happen to have in stock, so he wrote me out the specific prescription so I could order them from home. Unlike other eye doctors I have been to, he did not try to up-sell me on fancy new, expensive contacts. Really nice practice, I will be back for my eye exams!

Dr. Alan Barber had been treating my vision needs since I moved to Denver in 2010. I have been extremely pleased with the quality of his care. In my 40 years of wearing contact lenses, Dr. Barber has been by far the best Eye Care Physician in fitting me with lenses. I have never seen better than I currently do with the lenses he has fitted me with.

What I'm most impressed with is the time he invests in each exam and his dedication to always finding the optimal treatment. I thought I would never find a replacement for the world class Opthamologists who treated me at UCLA's Jules Stein Eye Clinic but I have and highly recommend Dr Barber.

I am a new client here and Dr. Barber was probably the best eye doctor I've ever seen. He listened and understood my vision needs. Also, my husband Michael is involved in a Glaucoma study which I've had the pleasure of getting to know Rachel Gerle. Her professionalism and compassion is unsurpassed. Great spirit to be around. Thanks. Jason fitted me we glasses which wasn't very easy considering I changed my mind many times. Thank you for your patience and understanding. The entire team at Insight Vision group is awesome! Thank you all!

Everyone at Insight Vision Group has been very helpful. Dr Barber gave me the best exam I have had in a long time, and Jason fitted me with a great pair of glasses. Being open on Saturdays is also a plus.
