Suite 150 receptionist, tech, and registration were very professional and courteous. On the other hand, the woman upon entering the actual building gives greetings and salutations to some but not to others, so does the security guard. Also, staff are allowed to exit and return multiple times without having to switch out their masks, which is a health hazard.

I know all of our health care providers are very stressed right now, but I'm dismayed by the service at Crouse Medical Practice. It often takes 5-7 days for them to call in a prescription refill. I recently had an appointment with my doctor. The nurse was quite rude. After waiting 15 minutes in the seating area without anyone speaking to me, I went to the window to ask for help - which is what they instruct you to do (ask for help if you have been waiting 15 minutes). The nurse who responded to me was quite rude and hostile. Today they left me a message. I called back and was put on hold for 15 minutes.

Dr Azar ordered an invasive test without even discussing it with me. I obviously have no trust in Azar and asked to switch doctors. They refused, saying it is "against policy." The administrator told me " we want you to be happy with your doctor, " which is obviously not true, or they would have switched me to another provider. Going elsewhere

Screeners are very good specially the one who wears head scarf she is very kind lady she helped me when I was shaking crouse medical practice very lucky for having her.

This practice is your standard corporate, factory-like modern medical practice. The doctors and staff have all been good but the whole practice is managed as a well-oiled machine designed to take your money rather than as a patient-focused care provider. 1) Here are a few experiences that might be illuminating: I have been a patient here for 5 years and I have had three different doctors.

They were all young, and pretty good, giving me the impression that this practice is almost like a stepping stone to more serious career options for young doctors. 2) I had bursitis of the elbow, a really simple problem. They told me to wrap it tightly and ice it, which was good advice. They booked a follow-up appointment in two weeks which was completely unnecessary.

It cost me $200 for the NP to say "your elbow is not swollen." Standard procedure for modern practices and I should have known better but if you were looking for a practice that will be frank with you about what is really necessary this is not it. 3) I am writing this review because I recently had my yearly physical billed as a diagnostic visit, costing me $75 after insurance.

It was billed this way because when the Dr. looked in my ear she asked me if I had any issues and I mentioned that I have some tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Because I mentioned that, it was not coded as a wellness visit but as coming in with a complaint of tinnitus. It was strange to feel like answering my doctor's questions would lead to unexpected charges. I will be looking for a new provider, which is too bad because the people were nice. Unfortunately the management/business philosophy is not working for me.

I've been a patient for 2 decades. Today I am in tears, contemplating how to treat myself, since I no longer can go to them for care. Dr Butch, Dr Speller were awesome but they are no longer there, so I was placed with another doctor. I was prescribed narcotics for my pain for 12 years, not fully understanding the life changing, brain chemistry altering affects this would have on my life.

I just kept taking the medication. My doctor is retiring and none of them are accepting new patients and so now, a story that will follow me for a lifetime about breaking my"contract" with the office, they didn't agree to wean me off of the prescriptions, they must have felt it was easier to drop me as a patient. They don't care what affect it's going to have on me and/or my family.

I'm an abandoned patient that can't get into any other doctor for 4-6 weeks, meanwhile, I'm left to my own care. The nurse Christine made up lies about my interactions with her just to get me out. An awful and uncaring human being. I never once was anything but kind calling in all 20 years. Now I have to go to the hospital when my medication runs out and it has caused me anxiety, as he has me on a benzodiazepine to help me sleep. 8 years I was on this and I could die if I stop taking it without medical assistance. Thrown to the wolves.

They do not care. It should be against the law to be treated this way to cause such grief to any human being. I am so scared what's going to happen when I'm out of my medication. The TRUTH is the practice don't care if you live or die. I hope I live through to tell my story and advocate for patients who go through what I just had to.

My prescription for Atorvastatin was running out, and I called Rite Aid to refill it, but there were no more refills. As usual, the pharmacy automatically contacted IACNY to renew the prescription. This is done computer-to-computer, but the process is called a "fax". I called the pharmacy's auto number a couple of days later, and the refill approval had not happened.

So I contacted the pharmacy and asked what was going on, and they said they had sent the request twice, a week apart, and got no response. So I called the doctor's office and chose the extension for prescription refills. A female picked up, took my information, and said the refill would be ready the next day, late afternoon. I told her about the miscommunication (which, incidentally, had been working for the 18 years that I have been a patient there).

She asked me how they sent in the request, and I responded as the pharmacy told me. "They faxed it." She said that is the worst way to renew a prescription. I suggested to her that she should contact the pharmacy and tell them what the proper way is, so that this doesn't happen again. She said, "That's not my job." I called her a bad name and hung up. Here's the kicker.

When I went to the pharmacy the next day to pick up the refill, it was the wrong dossage. The person whose job was not to care about the well being of the patient, was also incompetent. I am lucky to have noticed the mistake, but can imagine an 89 year-old not noticing, and dying from it.

I have been a patient there for 27 yrs. I started with Dr. Speller who was phenomenal. He then reired, and I got dr. Kronenberg. He was so so of a Dr. 2 yrs ago after kronenberg took a job with hospital. I was. Very very ill 1 yr. Ago. Gave the nurse my symptoms, and I coyld not sleep in supine position. The Dr. Would not call a script in for me. I called everyone I knew to get every antibiotic I could get my hands on! N 3 bottles of mucinex.

Last june I had a UTI, WENT in to Dr. Lentz. They had me go to their lab. I've been in the medical field well over 30 yrs. They only called to have Routine urinalysis! When suspicion of UTI.THE SCRIPT SHOULD have called for a "Clean Catch". Still having pain, had to go back I TOLD them they needed to prescribe CLEAN CATCH" MEAN TIME AFTER screaming they gave me a Antibiotic.

That doesn't treat UTI! IN THE MEAN TIME I WENT TO A REPUTABLE LAB. Got the clean catch.and wahla! Blood in urine, the antibiotic that was wrong! I had a Bad reaction to! My advice the Doctors they have NOW Don't give a rats ass about you. And they just have you coming back. The doctors, don't even touch you to examine the issue! I coykd go on and on about this practice.seeking a new Dr. This practice is just Money Hungry

My wife and I have been patients at Internist Associates by Crouse for about 8 years now. They've always been courteous and helpful. During medical emergencies they always work me into their schedules well. It's nice that the lab work is right upstairs, and that the ER is right across the street, if need be. The only downside is the paid parking and it's sometimes hard to access/leave when students are in session.

I went in for a routine physical (free with my medical insurance). I was very clear that I came in for my free physical. During the exam the Dr. asked if I wanted a referral to a dermatologist and I said "sure". Then I got billed by Internist Associates for a medical visit, because of the dermatologist referral, instead of my free physical. When I called them they informed me that bills couldn't be changed once they were billed, and that I would just have to pay for them. Turns out my doctor didn't even bother to do all of the things (EKG ect.) done during the free physical. She completely ignored what I very deliberately asked for, and now I have to pay for something insurance should be covering.
