I have 2 family members who are worse off from being in the care of this facility. -"We are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our community." Words must match actions or they seem insincere.

As a nurse, I'm very familiar with the operations of a hospital and nursing unit. Just WOW smh. I witnessed the worst nursing care imaginable. The unconventional nursing care by more LPNs than RNs was less than standard. The CNAs were overworked and I guess the nurses were too because they seem to not be able to keep up with the demands of the patients.

It took no less than 30 minutes to get assistance in any form there's no hourly rounding on patients. You might not see any staff for about three hours or until it was time for meds. Like another reviewer mentioned, the nurse never "knew" anything. Reading the chart and following protocols were clearly missing. Basic nursing just was not properly being implemented.

I saw med pushers and vital sign checkers; everything else was up in the air. The only good thing about this hospital was the allowance of one visitor. And boy are the patients glad to see a familiar face. You don't have to be a nurse to see the complete lack of quality and safe care in this facility. Any patient could easily pick up on it. I must add this.it's a small world.

Fast forward to a week later, a coworker in TN brings up how nice her visit to Lake Hamilton was. We soon are discussing her mother-in-law's experience at National Park. Well damn, we have very similar stories. Now that's very sad that on different nursing units that the care was equally horrible. People have to start sounding the alarm on these hospitals with poor staffing, providing less than safe quality care, and pushing nurses to their breaking point. I imagine the experienced nurses got out of there, leaving inexperienced staff that also lacked compassion, empathy, and hustle. Our healthcare system is in CRISIS!

Slowest ER in the world. Waiting for almost four hours for my boyfriend to get seen for a broken toe. Lady who stuck him for blood was rude and did not know what she was doing. Will not come back to this hospital. Staff more and offer assistance quicker. This is a terrible place to get health care. Also your nurses in the registration booth were not masked and yet telling people to wear masks.

So disappointed with this hospital. Sketchy things happening here. Do not bring your loved one here. Nursing staff are inattentive, seem like they are bothered if you ask for their help. Hospital room was so hot and they didn't care. BUT they will make sure they charge you for that wet rag you asked for your head. Outrageous.

I went to the emergency room this morning after taking a fall last night and feeling like i tore a muscle or a ligament. i very clearly explained where my pain was, exactly what type of pain, and in great detail what the pain felt like. this is an especially important issue to me because last time i hurt my ankle in exactly this manner i was misdiagnosed with a simple sprain when in fact my achilles tendon had completely detached. after waiting for 4 1/2 hours, during which time they took only a few x rays and chose to check me unnecessarily for blood clots, they prescribed me steroids and told me to keep my foot up. i entered the ER unable to walk and left the same way. after explaining my symptoms to them they should have let me know from the very beginning that there was nothing they could have done instead of keeping me there while they came up with ways to run up the insurance bill. they did absolutely nothing to treat the issue or help me in any way.

This has been one of the most professional medical teams to be helped by. This hospital does need to raise its standards on the janitorial team as a whole. Rooms should be cleaned in between patients and the bathrooms should be cleaned every hour to two hours. I'm glad you gave the janitor that got fired from Walmart a second chance, but he was caught sleeping on the job and stealing time. Probably not the right work ethic for your hospital team.

We waited over 4 hours, no one in the waiting room till hour 2.5 and then no one came out to do tests till then.my husband had chest pain and has a history of seizures. I called the ER desk they hung up on me 2 times. They can see the number, after call 3 the nurse proceeded to tell me that they are sorry.but it takes 2 minutes to tell someone that they have tachycardia and they have to refer him.they will discharge him soon ( some time tomorrow? ).I guess if he had a heart attack or a sezure then they would communicate.

This is a terrible place They have poor communication and peoples lives are at stake. we have no family here my husband and I and our 3 young children under 9.so compassion and communication are helpful in health care. My husband should not have gone through this. I miss Louisiana bc the health care was amazing and they cared for life. I do not recommend this ER! Go somewhere else if all possible. I posted this review bc theses are lives not a fast food restaurant or a store, people should know what they will face before checking in.

I gotta say most all staff were great! Only one or two not so nice but that's great for any hospital. My main complaint is the food. It was disgusting. I had to pick the least nasty thing to eat to not be hungry. They don't give you any choice and it looks like they just throw out what they can scrounge up. it's the worst hospital food I've had in my 63 years.

I have been an employee (37 years) and a patient at NPMC. This hospital is like my second family. As a patient over the years and have had several surgeries. They treated me like a Queen. As an employee I have worked in a lot of areas, we try our best to treat patients with dignity and kindness. Our Doctors go above and beyond. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I cannot express how terribly this facility and multiple surgeons there have failed my family members. One cancer patient and one hip replacement patient. Don't chance it. Go to CHI or Little Rock.

If I could rate a -5 I would. Who yells at a cancer patient and calls them a liar for not getting imaging? The nurse told her she was being discharged and she said no- I'm supposed to get an MRI. The next thing you know- she was discharged. This was at 7:30pm Saturday. Then today she gets harassed by a someone for "lying". How dare you! You made her cry. I tried to call but no one answers. Someone call me. I'd like to talk to you.

I took a neighbor there to the ER. We got there about 1 in the afternoon the waiting room had 3 people. At 10 pm! Yup we sat there for 9 hours, the waiting room was empty other than us. At 10pm we walked out. She still had not been seen. Makes me wonder why.

Front desk was rude beyond all measure. If you don't want to be kind and caring get a different job! This lady talked bad about patients for asking questions. I asked for change to get my kids a drink and she snarled her nose at me saying." I have no change for you"! Yelled at another lady for asking where the nurse with her meds were bc her can was called and she still hasn't received help.

It was the worst hospital I've ever been in. that's not including the nastiness of the place. Waiting area and restrooms were complete filth! Over I would recommend being sick over paying this hospital a visit. Very displeased with the front staff of this hospital

I was there 5 days. 3 in intensive care 2 in private room. Staff was professional & caring. Room was cean and quiet (ICU not so quiet). I did not eat much. No appetite. But the 3 meals I did eat were very good. I will use NPMC in the future if & when needed.

Knee break surgery 5/24//21. Waiting room was disorganized and no handicap bathrooms for a woman in a wheelchair. After admission everything was wonderful. The surgery went well with Dr. Lawrence. Stayed 5 days and at all times I received excellent care. Never had to wait but a few minutes if I had to use the call button. Both nurses and aids were great.

Had the best birthing experience! Dr Colgrove has the best bedside manner and my labor and delivery nurses were awesome. The staff in labor and delivery treat you like family. 100% would use National Park again.

This place is beyond the worst hospital anyone I know has ever been in. My fiance came to the emergency room here. They admitted her overnight. No biggie. The next day, a male staff member came in the room and made an inappropriate joke. He then proceeded, since he knew the patients full name, to search for her on social media platforms. He found her and sent her friend requests. THIS IS NOT OKAY!

That is the definition of a predator and using his position to take advantage of a patient. I will jot post the employees name on here because unlike him I respect boundaries. However, something needs to be done. Stay away if you have the option.
