Many families in the United States are affected by mental illness. The current estimate is that about 20% of the U.S. population is affected by emotional disorders during a given year, the most common illnesses being depression and anxiety. Nearly 8 million adults are diagnosed with adult ADHD and it tends to run in families.
We treat a wide variety of diagnosis such as: depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, eating disorders, ODD, IED and ADHD among others. Not all children progress from infancy to adolescence without some difficulty along the way. In some children, these difficulties may progress to symptoms and disorders that interfere with their ability to function and result in emotional and behavioral problems at home and school, family conflicts, substance abuse, and even suicide.Recent studies have shown that 1 in 5 children and adolescents have a mental health problem.
At the NeuroPsychiatry Center, your health and well-being are very important to us. You will receive a comprehensive evaluation with an emphasis on investigating underlying cause/s that may be attributing to or exacerbating your presenting symptoms. We believe in Minimal Rational Medication Utilization (MRMU) and prefer a holistic approach that incorporates psychotherapy and life style modifications such as relaxation, and diet and exercise. We will discuss your treatment plan, explain the medications, and answer your questions to the best of our knowledge.

Was seeing Dr Beth Bremner for over a year. Dr Beth has left the practice and not her or anyone at the faculty notified me of her leaving. No new doctor was assigned to me or was I even given a heads up. Now I can't get my prescription filled. I'm now several days without medication because of them and experiencing severe side effects they don't care seem to care about. Save yourself the stress. This is the first time I've ever written a review and the only reason I'm doing it is to try and save someone from a similar experience.

I'm actually genuinely surprised at all of the bad reviews for this practice. My therapist referred me to this practice for medication management and I began seeing a woman (I can't remember her name) but shortly after beginning to see her - she left the practice. Then I began seeing Christine Volk who is the sweetest woman and I feel she really cares about my mental health. Unfortunately, she recently left the practice which left me feeling somewhat frustrated because having to keep explaining your mental health issues over and over to new people is upsetting.

My therapist tells me that this office has a high turnover rate because Dr. Kant hires people freshly out of school so they get experience and leave. The front office staff has always been extremely kind to me and makes me feel welcome in the office. Finding psychiatrist's that accepts Medicaid is difficult, so this office is a good option.

I've been going here for two years and it's always been OK. But recently my usual doctor has been on maternity leave and my experience went downhill quick. It seems like most of the reviews have had the same experience with the front desk personal. She is incredibly hostile & rude. She made me cry the last time I called in to schedule an appt. This is especially concerning for a psychiatrist office. I will not be going here anymore and I suggest the same for new clients.

I have been seeing Dr. Kant & his associates for many years now (10+) and I have never had a terrible experience. They have helped me so much and been so kind. Please take any poor review with a grain of salt and give this office a try.

Absolutely awful. I never write reviews, but these experiences were TERRIBLE - if you struggle with mental health issues DO NOT SEEK HELP HERE. The receptionist left me frustrated and in tears twice - I've finally given up trying to schedule my appointment. I assumed the first phone call she was having a bad day, but I was met with a more rude, condescending, and unprofessional conversation the second time. Frankly, I'm not sure how someone so mean and unhelpful could have a job in a mental health facility.

My therapist referred me to get an ADHD screening over a month ago. I completed all the paperwork, received an approval, and was told to call to schedule my appointment. So I did, and the receptionist was rude, and very unhelpful. She told me the doctor I was approved to see "wasn't on the schedule yet" and when I asked when to call back to schedule my appointment, she responded with "I don't know, next week." So I did, and she was even more rude and condescending this time.

Didn't ask what days worked for me, and was insulted when the one date she gave me didn't work with my schedule. I asked for an appointment in a month or two, so that I could request off work - "well her schedule isn't up yet. Call back tomorrow." To which I responded with "okay thanks, have a good day!".she hung up before I could finish my sentence.

Unprofessional would be putting it kindly. The front office staff (Kelly) was dismissive, rude, condescending and quite frankly miserable. It is unfortunate. People that are reaching out for help and are met with disregard by the discourteous and unpleasant scheduling staff. If you need to speak with your provider forget it, I was told they are not sitting around waiting for patient calls and it would be a month or longer before I was able to speak with her.

I asked if I would leave a voice mail for her and was told no, I asked if I could email her and was told no. I asked if I have a question regarding medication am I able to speak to her and was told no, go to emergency room. They take patient care to new lows. It is unfortunate because I actually really liked my provider in the group. If you are seeking a caring and professional group of mental health care professionals. look elsewhere.

I've been with this practice for more than 2 yrs. I found a home. The staff is amazing. Doctor Beth is very attentive. My therapist, Judy has been a lifesaver. My daughter has been with them for like 10 yrs and I'm grateful when I needed someone she suggested this office.

A medical professional I knew personally suggested I get evaluated at this office, so I went in to talk about it and see what they said. My friend goes to this office and has no complaints. The MSN CRNP I saw went through my history and was completely dismissive to anything I said. I felt treated like a drug addict when I just want to figure out what's going on.

They didn't clarify anything and we didn't even talk about the concerns I came in for. I paid the specialist copay just to make another appointment where I have to pay another copay AND pay a $200 out of pocket fee to take a test. What was the point of the first appointment if they didn't even do an actual evaluation? Had an emotional break down immediately after due to the dismissive attitude of who I saw. Maybe if you know who to go to here they can be a great help, but otherwise don't waste your time or money. I had no issues with the office staff; they were friendly.

Had side effects from medication so took fmla with my short term disability. Made me pay 75 for the fmla and 250 for short term paperwork. Wanted a extension and asked for when when I saw the psychiatrist and she said no problem send her a message and I did and told Sedgwick and they said they wanted updated medical info and sent them over another form for the extra week.

They refused to fill it out because they want another 250. I was crying in my sisters car and she called them and they just said that's what they charge. So I have a doctors note saying I'm returning on the 14th even though my paperwork says the 7th. I had a panic attack in my sisters car and I have ptsd and bad anxiety. I don't need this.

They charge my insurance company 225 and me a 25 copay every time I go in to be seen. I don't need this. I could get my prescription refilled through my doctor if I want. Every time I go in I arrive early and I'm always seen a half hour after. Also the one lady with brown hair can be kinda snippy. Don't go here. Look for others. They take advantage of people.

Been coming to this office for longer than I should. They're at least 20 mins late to get us from the waiting room every time. I paid $50 for forms that they never faxed to the place I needed them for and would not refund me. They do not respond in emergency situations. I called ahead with my new insurance information and when I got here for my apt, they don't accept it. So now I have to pay $85 for maybe 15 mins of questions.
