I've had to go there for almost a month now for kidney stone related issues. The worst thing about Tn. Urology is that when I call I have to go through a 3rd party person to tell them of the issues I'm having. What happened to the days were you could call & talk to the drs nurse or the appointment staff? Now it's going through the 3rd party. I can't understand them because their English is so bad or they are just down right rude. And when I have to call them about every other day because the issue is not being taken care of it gets really frustrating.

I've been with Tennessee Urology Powell for over 5 years but am considering changing to UT Medical Center. The last two times I have come for an appointment I have had a 45 minute wait (with no apology) and an hour and fifteen minute wait. The second time I just canceled and rescheduled. They seem to be understaffed and unable to take patients in a timely fashion.

Do NOT USE THEM. Had appointment last Friday. After urine specimen and being placed in room and waiting they wanted me to cancel appointment.i said no. Had bladder scan (nurse didn't even cover me up)I had a dress on so it was just pulled up. I should've known just by that. Dr comes in which he seems okay with plan. He writes notes and treatment plan.

I watch him. And what new medication that will be taken. Go to pick up medication the right meds aren't called in Monday sent them a email on the portal nothing Wednesday went and called them was on hold for 30 minutes then hung up on then they told me they would call me back after I called them back nothing.send them another email through portal now it is Thursday and I've heard nothing and I've not had the right medication and tomorrow is one week from my original appointment.

I am a small business owner and how they treat people and run this business is so not acceptable and it's not right for patients to be treated this way maybe they need further evaluation from OSHA or HIPAA do not use them.

My first time visiting here, receptionist was kind, polite and helpful. Definitely 5 star. Young Lady who drew my blood was, polite, kind profession. Definitely a 5 star. Now the negative wait time 1 star i arrived at 2:10 for a 2:30 appointment. Did the in office registering. After waiting until 4:05 i asked how much longer. I was finally seen at 4:15. For a lab only appointment the wait time was unreasonable. I have another follow-up appointment next week will do another review then.

I'm giving this review two stars. I've been a patient since 2015. I get kidney stones and have had to have three procedures now for them. Prior to my last experience, I have had no complaints. Dr. Reynolds was an amazing doctor, but since retiring I have had to find a new doctor. Dr. Shershon saw me in April of 2020, where I was having kidney stone pain, and believe me, it's painful.

I passed the kidney stone before my appointment, where I had a CT that showed I had multiple stones in both kidneys. Then, in January, I started having uncontrollable pain from another kidney stone. I went to the ER, had another CT and they found a stone measuring at 6x4mm. The ER doctor said it was not going to pass and I needed another surgery. Trying to get an appointment was a nightmare (which I understood because I also work in healthcare).

I was then called two days before my appointment by Dr, Sershon and was told that my pain may not be a kidney stone, but back pain. Back pain and kidney stone pain are VERY different. He acted as if I was over exaggerating, mind you I had been dealing with this pain for a week now. When I went for my appointment, my stone was visible on X-ray. Dr, Sershon did apologize, and booked my surgery ASAP.

After my surgery, while I was in recovery, my pain was not managed well. The prescription written after my surgery for pain medication was not nearly enough to manage the pain. Now I know this sounds like a medication junky, but I'm not. Proper pain management is essential to successful recovery. I was only sent home pain meds, nothing for kidney spasms which happen after the lithotripsy.

I typically don't leave reviews on anything because I understand that healthcare is not perfect and that mistakes happen, but I honestly was displeased with how I was treated like I was exaggerating, not properly managed for my pain before and after my procedure, not prescribed something for kidney spasms, and the overall experience. This was NEVER something that would have happened with Dr. Reynolds and I'm not sure why it is acceptable now.

I have a recheck appointment soon and I hope that I don't have any more issues but I foresee myself seeking a new doctor for any future kidney stones, because unfortunately it's not matter of IF I'm going to have more stones but WHEN and I don't think dismissing a patient because you think it's back pain, is acceptable at all.

Dr. Parker's office runs like a well oiled machine. I feel safe and well cared for whenever I am there. The reception staff are confident and capable and very friendly.

12/9 here today for follow up after Surgery with Dr Drlair. Once I get my results I will not be back Dr cancelled my first follow up no clue why came in today and Doctor DeLair left. I make about 400 per day and this is now the 2nd time he has cost me money I am not sure why he thinks his time is more valuable then mine. Been here twice. Second time still here.

Both times the wait has been well over 2 hours. First-time ibhave no clue why this time Doctor was tied up in Surgery, that what I was told. Not impressed with the scheduling. Appointments are appointments. They need to be kept.

I was recommended to tn urology by 2 dr friends of mine. My family physician also said by my having my moms brother and my dads brother dying of prostate cancer i needed a urologist to do an annual check on me. I was very lucky all 3 recommended dr chris ramsey. At age 67 on my annual exam he found i did have prostate cancer. He gave me a book to read on it.

It outlined all treatment options. I chose surgery. 4 years latter im still cancer free. Dr ramsey is a renouned surgeon but more so, he is an extremely compassionate man. When you get cancer you must accept the fact that God's will is going to be done. Whichever way it goes you couldn't have a better surgeon or man by your side as dr ramsey. Edward e gray

The visit (during the appointment time) proceeded without delay. All staff, from beginning of the visit to end of the visit, !were courteous and helpful to assist with questions and concerns. Thank you Dr. Shawn DeLair for choosing to begin your practice with Tennessee Urology.

Doctor Cameron is the best as well as her staff. I was reassured at the very beginning by her nurse that Dr. Cameron knew what she was doing and that the procedure would be pain free and it was. Many thanks to everyone at TN Urology Associates!
