This review is a long time coming.and maybe it is unfair to write it so many years after service has been performed, but I was cleaning out some files and came across my receipts for Lasik back in 2003. Yes it is over 13 years later, but I'm still going to hold a grudge. I'm not going to go into every precise detail, but the basics are this: I was told that my vision would be back to normal in only a few days after my Lasik surgery.

I was unable to see my computer screen (which I could see perfectly prior to the surgery) for approximately 3 weeks after the surgery. This was a huge inconvenience as my job at the time depended upon being able to see a screen. Every time I went back for a checkup I complained about my vision and that it didn't seem that my eyes had been healing correctly.

I was constantly put off each time being told to wait a little bit longer until my 3 month "warranty" was up. On my last visit, a "substitute" doctor was in and was supposed to relay my issues on to the actual doctor. This never happened and when I contacted them a few months later to complain about still residual issues, I was told that it was too late even though I had been telling them since day 1 that there were issues.

I would say it took a good 4-6 months before my vision was back to an acceptable level. Even then I still had some strangeness like halos, etc. Eventually it got to a point where I just became accustomed to whatever my vision was. Admittedly, my vision after this period was probably better in some respects than before, but with the issues I experienced it was difficult to say I had any sort of night and day changes in my vision.

It was more like a slow burn. At the time, these guys ran radio ads all the time offering discounted services. My personal belief is that they were not concerned about doing a great job, since they got to charge you $250 more/eye for any touch up work that needed to be completed after 3 months. So, it is within their best interest to do shoddy work so you have to pay.

Unless they are guaranteeing your surgery for a period longer than 3 months - i.e. long enough to see you through a full recovery and deal with any issues, I would look elsewhere. Chances are if the price seems to good from these guys, there is a reason. There are some other sketchy things that happened with my whole experience with these folks, but if I haven't warned you enough from the above, I doubt the rest will.

Highly recommend this place. My husband just had surgery and now has 20/20 vision after many years struggling with glasses and contacts. I've had LASIK over 13 years now & it's one of the best decisions I've made!

I went in for a routine eye exam and they decided to perform a bunch of tests that designated it a medical exam versus a vision exam. I was not aware that the tests they were performing were medical in nature and not just plain vision. When I called to inquire about it, the woman on the phone told me, I should have asked. Like I'm supposed to know what is part of a routine eye exam. I've only ever had my eyes checked once before I actually had coverage.

I would not recommend this place. To top it off, they pushed to get me to do all sorts of procedures from plugs for my "slight dry eye" which was considered the diagnosis, which made it a medical exam according to them, to laser surgery. So from a covered in full visit, I went to owing $160!
