I was referred here by a family member but I will not be coming back. I arrived for my 9:45 appointment at 9:38 which was the 2nd of its kind, only to be told you must pay us your co-pay (mind you none of this was in the communication sent to me). I sat in my car trying to figure out how to get them payment to be seen, only to then be told it's 9 minutes past your appointment time when I finally got through on the phone to try to pay by reading the card number over the phone.

I understand people at times don't pay their doctor bills but to have insurance and NOT be seen over $50. I will look for another surgeon. And I'm sure based on my review I will receive a passive aggressive response based on what I've read in the reviews (might I suggest a Communications course?). Thank you

Waited for a hour and still wasn't called in to see doctor. Awful at keeping their appointment, why make appointment if the can't see you in a timely manner. I will seek care elsewhere.

We have made two visits to the office. The first time we went the receptionist along with several other people in that area were not wearing masks. The nurse that called us back was not wearing a mask along with other nurses not wearing a mask. When I complained about her not wearing a mask, she went and got one. The second visit still had the receptionist not wearing a mask and another nurse was not wearing a mask.

Our nurse was wearing a mask. When my husband commented to the receptionist about not wearing a mask, she indicated that people who were vaccinated did not need to wear a mask. My husband's response was that the vaccine is not 100% and that there are several old people in the waiting area. I made the comment that the CDC recommends everyone, even those vaccinated, should be wearing a mask indoors.

This is highly irresponsible and unprofessional. My family doctor requires masks; and when I take my husband to Lo Eye care, no one except the patient is allowed in the building.

Dr Qhawash is a Great surgeon, BUT DO NOT EXPECT ANY FOLLOW UP CONVERSATIONS WITH EITHER HE OR HIS TEAM AFTER THE CHECK HAS BEEN CASHED. THIS IS NOT A POSITIVE REVIEW BY ANY MEANS!

My wife has been trying to get in for two weeks. She has been in pain for two weeks. She finally got in touch with them today and found out that they don't accept Cigna. It took them two weeks to simply say, "no". This type of treatment is deplorable. Edit: This is insane. They responded to my negative review in an hour, but it took them 2 weeks, with my wife in pain, to say they don't accept our insurance?

Obviously they care more about their online profile than their actual patients. I assume these responses are a bot or paid service to make nice replies without actually taking any comments into consideration.

Horrible after care! Dr Quhwash did a good job but seems to be able lose business with no concern. The service is the worst I've ever experienced! Good luck even getting in to see the doctor, after months of pain and TWO times being canceled a week before my appointment (each was a 6 week wait) I've decided to never be treated that way again. Not even a call back from the office! They just dont care!

I visited Compass Health/Lansing Neurosurgery in Feb 2016 for follow-up after a brief hospital stay. The attending physician seemed nice and gave some timely advice. The 2 star rating is for the administrative / billing section of the office. I have primary insurance through my employer and secondary insurance from Tricare as a retired military member.

I very rarely ever pay anything except maybe a small Rx copay once in a while. I received a bill on 4/9/2018 (that's correct, over two (2) years after visiting this office, in the amount of $1,634.50 for services rendered by the Dr. on 12/28/2015 when I was in the hospital. The problem is that the billed services were coded as 22310, 99223 & 99321.

None of 99223 (specialty consult) was performed. I wrote the office a letter asking for an explanation. The never responded, so I never sent them a nickel. - ** FIX YOUR BILLING DEPT**-

Dr. Elnabtity was nice. However, billing not impressed and is why I'm giving 1star. I paid the$25 copay at the visit, only to receive a bill for $25 in the mail 4/13/17. Called billing today. They said should be $42 in addition to the $25 office visit copay. I was advised by the biller that my chart indicated the neurosurgeon provided HCPCS 99406 SMOKING/TOBACCO CESSATION.

This doctor DID NOT give me ANY counseling regarding quitting smoking and they aren't removing the charge. The biller only said, "okay, I'll note the account." I will be contacting my insurance company and the fraud department after the holiday. Why would any patient go to a neurosurgeon to get tobacco cessation counseling? I wouldn't and didn't! Thought my appointment was for my back/nerve pain.

At $197 for the office visit, do they really need to tack on $42 for something a patient did not come to them for? All Patients as a employee of a health insurance company, BEFORE you pay a bill, ALWAYS review your statement from insurance and compare to your bill received. Question any charge you don't agree with. This is a prime example of a fraudulent charge that if not promptly dealt with, would eventually be sent to collections and damage my credit.
