Worst front desk staff, I had an appointment at 1:30 for my daughter and I reach the front desk around 1:50 and it was delayed because I hade a hard time to find the address and they didn't accept my delay of 20 minutes late time and I request them to keep this appointment and they didn't accepted and they said the next patient is already in the room. How come they can schedule a appointment with only 20 minutes gap to other patient

New patients beware! Apparently Dr. Black is perfect and unexpected things have never impacted her life negatively. If you're a new patient and have to reschedule with less that 24 hours forget about being seen, forever. I recently started a new job which means enrolling in new benefits. I scheduled my appointment with Dr. Black prior to getting my medical insurance cards.

My employer and carrier let me know that it shouldn't be a problem and that I would have my medical insurance cards before my appointment. I called the carrier again the day before my appointment and they said my medical insurance cards would arrive by end of day and there was no way I could get them digitally. Well, they did not come in. I called Dr. Blacks office first thing in the morning before my scheduled appointment to try and work something out since this was not in my control and I would have to reschedule until my insurance card came in.

Simply put, they were uninterested and told me plainly, "it is what it is." This practice appears to be money hungry because I was told because I'm a new patient and caused a vacancy, they don't want to see me at all. They even told me that I should've told them I was sick instead of telling them the truth and they would've still seen me. Maybe I should be glad this happened because I wouldn't want to give my hard earned money to this place if this is how they treat patients.

We had the worst ever experience when we brought our kid to Las Colinas Dermatology. Cheryl Sundlov PA did not even properly look at the kid. It's just waste of money. I will not recommend anyone to go here.

They changed my appointment time so I had to change my work schedule, took me 10 minutes to find the office and wound up late by 3 minutes because of it. Couldn't attend me, lady in the front wasn't wearing a mask which is mandated by the building. Main practitioner wasn't even in. Don't recommend.

Dr. Black is absolutely amazing! - knowledgeable, highly skilled, personable, professional and compassionate. I would strongly recommend her and will continue to avail of her services as needed. She never seems to be in a hurry and will answer all questions and concerns even if the questions are repetitive LOL The staff is also very professional. If they are running late due to unforeseen reasons, they do apologize and try to be as helpful as possible. Thank you team Dr. Black

Will not recommend this medical practice to anyone given that they take health issues as a joke. Avoid this practice to save you from misdiagnoses. Had a really bad experience with this clinic. My first visit was virtual and the medication prescribed did not work. Was asked to provide pictures prior to the visit which were not even reviewed by anyone based on the questions that were asked.

So I scheduled an in person visit with the nurse practitioner as a follow up. There was no attempt for a thorough diagnosis. Generic triggers like weather and stress were given as findings. I sought a second opinion and the doctor performed required tests and laid out treatment options. That is what we expect from any medical practitioner. The two visits were a total waste of time and money with incorrect diagnosis.

The Las Colinas staff was very friendly. They provided excellent service. I did filled out the required documents online, which substantially reduced my wait time. Cheryl was very professional and friendly as well and made my visit an excellent experience, and addressed my issue that same day.

Dr Black is amazing! She made me feel so comfortable, she listened to my concerns and gave me multiple options. I took her first option and I'm beyond happy with the results. The staff is also very friendly, I walked in 30 minutes early, was put in a room in less than 5 minutes upon arrival and nurse came in shortly after. The overall experience was amazing. I've been here before and also had a great experience. I plan to become a permanent patient here.

Went to this location about 5-6 times over 2 years. The Nurse Practitioner- Brooke, is very friendly and helped me with my issues very professionally. I credit the fact that I was able to finish my 1 1/2 years of undergrad with a decent quality of life to this location. The prescriptions they recommended were mostly steroids, but they worked wonders to clear my stubborn eczema. They made sure that I had access to all of the prescriptions I needed that fit my budget. Thanks Las Colinas Dermatology.

Dr. Black is INCREDIBLE! She is very experienced and knowledgeable. I never feel rushed or embarrassed to ask her questions. She gives me that confidence. Whatever we discuss, she explains thoroughly and will even draw pictures or write down information so that I have a better understanding. I also appreciate that they have prices for me on whatever I'm planning on doing so that way I'm not surprised by the bill.

I trust her completely. Plus, she's from Louisiana so you know she's cool. I've never met Dr. Smart but every time she sees me, even though I've never been a patient of hers, she smiles. The staff is nice. The nurses get back with you soon if you have any questions and are helpful and kind. The office is clean. They do sell products there, like SkinCeuticals and EltaMD.

A display in the waiting room even has testers. My only warning would be that it could be tough to get in for an appointment, especially with Dr. Black. I think this is a sign of how popular and in demand these two Doctors are. The staff tries to accommodate as best as possible and will even call if there are cancellations (if requested). I'm very pleased with my experiences here and look forward to being a lifelong patient.

My dermatologist in Grapevine gave a 30 days treatment for my skin. I tried it for 30 days with no change at all. This afternoon at 2:30 I went to Las Colinas Dermatology and saw Brooks Smart who prescribed a different application to my skin. I applied it at 3:30 PM and now is 8:30 PM and I already see and 80% improvement. How can I not give that a 5 stars rating.

Horrible and rude staff. Don't waste your time. Doctors offices have a rod up their ass these days. They are short staffed and inconsiderate.

I absolutely loved the dermatologist! She did a great job and was very personable. However.checking out was not so great. Here's how it went: Receptionist: "That will be 200 today." Me: "I don't t have a copay. Once you submit it to the insurance I'll be happy to pay what I owe." Receptionist: "Oh, we called the insurance. You owe 200." Me: "Um. I've already met my deductible and I don't believe I owe 200.

Please submit it and I'll pay what insurance says I owe." Receptionist: (Who is not at all pleasant now) "Well, I'll have to let the office manager know about this!" Me: (thinking that I'm not really scared about being sent to the office manager) "I will pay what I owe. Please submit the claim." Today, I got my statement from the insurance company. What do I owe? Hmmmm. Looks like $40.21. Not happy with their front desk practices at all!

Nice office, conveniently located, friendly reception and short wait time, even as a new patient. I saw Dr. Allison and liked her bedside manner. I went for botox and a full body scan. I felt like she really listened to me and they take 'before' pictures for botox and do monthly touch ups to make sure they've put enough in the right places.

They have specials periodically so it's worth signing up for email alerts. One thing I like is that I asked about a lot of extra things - fillers, antibiotics for acne - and the Dr gave me a topical and advised against other treatments. I think that's important in a cosmetic setting because they sometimes push the products and treatments but I felt it was the opposite in this place. Very professional dermatology practice and I'm very happy with the results.

Ok so I was scheduled for Botox with Brook, the PA. I've never had anyone other than a doctor do my injections. So, I was a little hesitant. However, the refreshments in the tiny (but cozy) waiting room put me somewhat at ease. But, my ease was short-lived after being whisked out of the waiting room by a tech that apparently hated her job. She was smug, angry, and lacking in customer service skills.

As she took pictures she barked out orders like I was at the DMV - "turn right", "left". There was no attempt at chit chat (oh and yes, I tried) not even a smile or a sliver of a smile. After the "photo session" she led me to the exam room where she slapped gobs of numbing cream all over my face (and this was after I told her that I might not even be getting filler).

In all my previous experiences with Botox/filler, I have never had anyone numb me before the consultation. Usually the doctor meets with you, figures out what you need and then the nurse comes in and gently numbs only those areas of your face that you are having treated. But not here- they just numb up the whole face- and they certainly don't skimp on the cream.

When I say it was globbed on my face, it was about 6 layers thick with mounds of cream dotting my face like a landscape of mountains. Needless to say, my entire face was numb for the rest of the day. But it took about one large roll of paper towels to scrape this stuff off my face. Anyway- as I sat there with the numbing cream seeping into my pores and slithering off my face another nurse (more pleasant than the previous one) walked in to inform me that they would be moving me soon to another exam room. Okay, fine- I didn't really care where I waited, but my patience was starting to run thin.

As I watched my valuable time tick away all I could think about was the work that I was missing while I sat there and waited on a PA that obviously didn't respect my time. I had been waiting for nearly an hour when I finally just got up and preceded to leave. As I walked out of the exam room and right into a hallway filled with nurses and technicians, I kindly informed them that I was leaving.

They all snickered and stared but none even apologized for the wait nor even attempted to make excuses for the PAs tardiness. Not that it would have mattered anyway. Needless to say, I didn't get Botox that day.

My husband and I have been Dr. Black's patients for at least 10 years. Before we found Dr. Black, our experience with other dermatologists lead us to think we had to be proactive and tell what concerns we had. They lacked the expertise recognizing potential skin problems, etc. that we wouldn't know how to search. Not with Dr. Black and Brook.

They both proactively check the full body. Each of us come with questions about concerned areas. These two professionals listen to what we say, check the areas we brought to their attention as well as check their own procedure for possible problems. They are equally using their artistic abilities when I need their help. They use a conservative approach and many of us are happy we found them. They are two peas in a pod---that's our bonus!

I first saw Brooke in May for an annual exam and a consult on my aging skin. With a clear bill of skin health, I signed on for some voluma and later Botox. Brooke is an artist, and was able to put the definition back in my face exactly where it belonged. She was also able to correct my RBF which I didn't even know could be done, with a little Botox! It's time to re-up so I'll be back soon.

She was ridiculously patient with my bazillion questions and worries about possible side-effects, and she has a super calming presence and kept me busy during the procedures so I barely thought about the procedure. I did have sticker shock at first because they are pricey compared to all the specials you see out there, but honestly, I would rather pay for the expertise of someone who you know isn't going to mess up my face and cause months of embarrassment until it wears off.

And there is an office full of plump, youthful baby bottom smooth faces there, so I saw plenty of their work samples to make me comfortable while I was there. Many dayspas I had been to for other services I noticed it was easy to identify who had injections. That was not the look I was going for. Brooke didn't make me look frozen or unnatural and I really appreciated her attention to detail.

Las Colinas Dermatology is an amazing practice - not only are they able to schedule appointments within a day or so of calling, they see patients on time! I've never waited more than about 5 minutes for my appointments. I appreciate that they always start with samples before writing a prescription, it helps reduce total cost. They're also incredibly responsive.

When they prescribed something that gave an odd reaction, I called the office and within minutes was speaking with the doctor, who changed the medication on the spot. If you need a dermatologist for anything, I highly recommend them!

Dr. Black is a very good Dr. She takes time with you; listens: and explains her treatment plan succincly and in easy to understand terms. Her medical staff are fast, efficient, and knowledgable. While efficient and fairly quick I wouldn't say the front office is overly friendly. My biggest suggestion is to add a water dispenser or drink center in the waiting room. That would be really helpful.

Great first appt with Brooke the NP! Had no problems getting an appointment in a timely manner. They sent me a link so I could fill out all the paperwork ahead of time. I really hate filling out paperwork in the doctor's office so I love that I could do all that online before my appointment! Staff was very friendly and on top of their jobs, virtually no wait time! Thanks!

Dr. Black and staff are wonderful! I came here for laser hair removal and a skin check up. They answered all my questions and made me feel really comfortable. Everyone was really friendly and I ended up with great results. When it's time for Botox, I'm headed here!

I am looking for another dermatologist who can actually fix this keloid scar I have. I went & got two shots in 6 months period where as I got once in 14 months. I am paying this out of my pocket & somehow how the shot she was giving me wasn't working or just not enough. Also I am not a big fan of doctor who tells me "it's stress". I understand some condition could related to stress but not 100%.

Just like some doctor tells me "u r Asian & that is the reason u loose ur hair a lot". I would look like a poop if my stress & my nationality is taking over my body & no cure. As a customer & a patient, I want to know why & how to fix it instead of stress or "Asian" is an issue. Guess this Dr. Isn't mine to keep. Just keep looking or just drive to austin & see Dr. Zoltan

One of the worst doctor experiences i've had in years! First off getting an appointment was a real hassle. Not many times and they dont really work with you, the customer. Office hours are very limited as well. Then, when calling back I got an attitude from one of the employees when I didnt know every answer about my insurance. Here's my insurance policy number you tell me. Sorry, I will not do your job too. Also, as a new customer they will pester you to fill out some long bio online. what happened to doctors collecting information about their customers and not forcing them to submit it on their own. Again, I do my job now you do yours.

Also dont bother trying to speak with them during lunch hours because the entire office shuts down. I get it that they need to eat too, but wouldnt it make sense to leave one person to take calls while the rest are eating. That would be the logical thing so of course they dont. Lastly, I regretedly made a follow up appointment which I called to cancel.

It was for a monday morning before work. Of course they leave early on friday (when i called) so it goes to voicemail. Today they call at 7:15am to notify me they are closed due to weather since I had the 8:00am appt. If they didnt close at lunchtime Friday they would have known I canceled anyways. PS i made it to work today even though there was ice but they use it as an excuse to close. I guess their time which we pay heavily for is more important than ours. Long story short the overall experience was very poor and I will not be going back!

Dr. Black is so fantastic! I've been going to her for almost 13 years. I trust her with everything- she also has a great eye for the "fun" procedures. (botox, distort, fillers etc) She's wonderful, highly recommend.
