Dr. Holly McArthur was wonderful! I only spoke with her for around 5-10 minutes during my appointment, but she was very thorough and informative. Their billing person is not quite as helpful or respectful. There was a misunderstanding with the way my appointment claim was filed and my insurance company encouraged me to check and see if there was a way for the gyno to refile, so that it showed up properly on my insurance for the services I received.

Instead of simply telling me that my appointment couldn't be filed under any other code, whoever I was speaking with decided to talk down to me. "I don't know what you want me to do, that's your responsibility, " is not really how I think anyone should be spoken to if they're simply inquiring about a charge. $180 is a bit much for having no health concerns, no exam, no pap smear, nothing. Again, McArthur was wonderful and I was really happy to know that she is making sure her patients are as informed as possible, encouraging autonomy, etc. This was just an unexpected charge for being a new patient, and an unexpected way to be spoken to because of it.

I absolutely love Laurel Obgyn. The office staff is super sweet. They always remember your name, and it feels more like going to see a friend than going to the doctor. Dr. Stephens is the best doctor I've had in years. She talks to you like you're a friend but doesn't bs you. She really helped me when I other doctor would or could. I will always sing her praises.

First few years I went i had no issues and everyone was very thoughtful and patient. Then I had a very painful, negative IUD experience and on the weekend after I had pain and bleeding and it took the on call Dr 6 hrs to get to me while I waited in Charlotte.

This was the best gynecology appointment I've ever had. Dr. Stephens was so friendly, extremely knowledgeable and made me feel completely at ease! Will definitely be going back to her in the future.

Dr. Stephens is the best OBGYN! Short wait times, and short visits. She is super knowledgeable and listens to my questions and concerns without making me feel rushed out of the door.

Dr. Stephens is a sweetheart! I've never had any issues with her or my appointments the couple of times I've been to her. My only concern is that it is very easy to hear most of the conversations that are going on (in the back) while sitting in the waiting area. I'm not sure if the staff is aware of this. Some light music or a white noise machine would fix this issue. I still love her though.

I'm pretty sure that the consensus is that a trip to the OBGYN isn't exactly anyone's idea of a "good time", however, I must say that this trip has been at the best by far. Dr. Stephen's put me at ease almost immediately, (not an easy task for someone like me), and was in and out in less than 10 mins, (pun intended). It felt more like a visit with a lovely neighbor than getting my lady bits checked out. I'm not really sure why there were lower ratings, because this office is my new favorite.

Unfortunately my experience was not a good one at Laurel OB GYN. It was my 1st time visiting and I went for a annual check up/pap smear. I have trauma related to my vagina and when the doctor asked about it she said "oh well that's not that bad". Trauma pertains to irrational fear that is very real to the person. She showed no compassion. I asked her to stop several times during the test because I was being triggered & she didn't. Said it was better to get it over with.

She was probably trying to give tough love but I definitely felt like I was a waste of her time. seems annoyed, told me to calm down cause she wasn't having someone pass out on her table today & laughed when I asked about natural alternatives for hormonal imbalances & simply said they don't work. I left crying and felt violated. If you haven't experienced that type of trauma then she's probably just a fine doctor to go to but I would never recommend her to someone who has.

I absolutely love Dr. Stephens her sweet staff. They got me an appointment quickly and with absolutely no hassle. By far, she is the best and most experienced gynecologist I've ever visited.

Dr. Stephens made me feel very comfortable and I really felt as though she took time to LISTEN to my concerns. This is a lost art among so many doctors. I felt as though she heard me and also made me a part of the entire process. I have to say in 50 years of life, this was one of the FIRST pelvic exams I have had done with virtually NO pain, discomfort, or unpleasantness. I recommend her without reservation!
