Had an awful experience with a case manager, Terri. She was very difficult to work with. She stated she was NOT familiar with Florida laws and was overwhelmed and understaffed all while making life and death decisions for our family member. There was a phone call she needed to make and would rather argue how busy she was than make the calls needed while family was there to make end of life decisions.

As well as Kim with Hospice admissions that was annoyed that I asked for my family members list of qualifying ailments that deemed her appropriate for Hospice. She proceeded to rattle them off as fast as she could and rush me off the phone without any additional information. They transported our family member to hospice without a call to notify the family.

The nurse felt bad and called to let us know as she was witness to the treatment we received from the case manager and Hospice admissions person. Overall horrible experience. Would not recommend.

Went with chest pain and severe dizziness in January, the nurse said "People get chest pain" and "do you have anxiety?" Then I started crying. She mocked me when I said a medicine the my gave me through the IV caused a scary burning sensation in my chest. I walked out, and I will never set foot in this hospital if I can help it. It's months later and My symptoms are worsening, but now I feel I won't be taken seriously due to my treatment at this hospital.

I felt I was treated like my life didn't matter, because I was uninsured at the time. Now that I'm insured I am still struggling to find the care I desperately need. This hospital has contributed to the degeneration of my quality of life, beware.

Wanted to send a special recognition to both Jamie & Lisa in the blood center! Both their professionalism and great attitude made my husband's visit such a pleasure. In addition, the registration and front desk members were expedient and professional at their jobs!

I never thought it was possible for a hospital to give such poor care. After getting covid and calling CVS for the antiviral pill i was told to go to the hospitals ER n get a prescription. (Im from out of state) I promptly did that and was told by the triage nurse in the ER at Lee in a very nasty tone that all im going to get from them is cough drops. I will be calling the hospital Admin in the morning. Unbelievable experience.

I was impressed with this hospital from the moment we walked in. Although it's 100 years old, it has been remodeled several times and it has been beautifully redone. The security and greeting staff were professional and friendly. I had a total knee replacement and found everyone from CNA's, Nursing, Anesthesiology to be exceptional; Very well coordinated and organized. Even the lunch That was served was delicious! Would highly recommend this hospital if you find yourself in need of quality medical care.

March 25, 2021 i was driving and i was felling extreme chest pain, dizziness.so i went to the ER, and all the crew was really nice to me and worked really fast to find out what was going on. The nurse who helped me was the best nurse I ever had her name was Ashley and she was very kind and explained to me every step of what was going on. Overall! I'm very thankful.

My daughter worked for Lee Health 4 years ago and loved it. She like they way they ran things. Fast forward 4 years and you can definitely see things have changed. The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing. As of Feb 1 there labs no longer take Florida blue? But there Doctors and Hospitals do? And they haven't updated this info. on the computer for their doctors.

I was asked by my doctor to drop off a stool sample and have been waiting for 1 1/2 hours so far. I don't get it. the paper work has all my info on it. This is a poor system for those just needing to drop off. Come on Lee Health you can do better. Also, the ladies on the lab are rude and not very clear on what's expected. I'm younger but feel really sorry for the elderly people having to deal with them. My experience was with the Coconut Point location.

My mom had surgery at this hospital, and I cannot say anything except great things. All of the nurses and CNAs in the West Tower are accommodating, friendly and attentive. The hospital itself is beautiful and very clean. Needing to be in a hospital is often anxiety producing, so being in this hospital is a breath of fresh air for all of us amidst the worries of her surgery and recovery. This hospital will give you or your loved ones the level of care and treatment you're hoping for.

"Cleaning" personnel there are terrible! A nurse changing my sisters bandages insisted on taking a picture of her wound with HIS phone then" sending it to my sister" HIPPA violation! I feel that they OVER Medicated her causing serious delusions. She didn't even know why she was in the hospital. If you have family, make sure that they visit EVERY SINGLE DAY! SEVERAL TIMES A DAY I have so many more complaints. There were a few great people there. One guy named Kirby. Oh and Alicia.

Shout out to Karen and Ellie & Dr. Matthew Fisherman for taking such GREAT care of me. Karen took such great care of me, made me feel like she was my mom. Everyone was so nice, caring, understanding. It was my very 1st surgery (knee) and they made me feel like I was in vacation. I was so scared and they kept me so calm. Thank you everyone from start to finish.

The nursing staff at downtown LEE on 4N was Ok depending which Nurse and CNA were assigned to you. it was the luck of the draw at best. The case management and social work staff would get a -1000 stars if possible. Never have I experienced such heartless, cruel and uncaring beings in my life. Zero compassion, zero integrity, zero competency. I hope no one ever has to go through what they put me through and they did it without blinking an eye. Horrible treatment from people that are supposed to be caring people caring for people. WHAT A JOKE!

Only two stars. One for the paramedics. And one for hydrating me. Other than that I was sent home still suffering from being poisoned. My advice: Go to health park, gulf coast, or cape hospital. This place is awful. Its Sad that I rate gas stations better than this. And I mean that. It truly makes me sad.

Our local healthcare is taking a tyrannical stance with forcing it's Patients' to wear masks even though the science has proven masks are "Not" effective. I for one will not submit to this evil conditioning. Even if it causes me my life.

I went in today with my son. He had a headache and wouldn't stop crying, (6yo) This is never his behavior. They saw me struggling to enter with him in my arms and never offered a wheelchair or any help. They ask for Covid symptoms, I told them that he was warmer than normal (never took his temperature!) We register, with an inhuman woman who only asked the questions without looking at a worried and tired mother with a bag, phone, keys, and child on her arms trying to give her my ID.

Then asking questions, that later I had to correct because they were all wrong. We then we told to go in a waiting room where everyone and everything was dirty! We sat there for 45 minutes with my son in a high fiver of 102! Fact that I only find out after getting out with my son and driving him to another hospital! So disappointed to see the lack of humanity and care for their patients. Specially a child.

Also while waiting on the hospital a pregnant woman and her husband came back from the night before because they had gotten the wrong release forms! They weren't hers! Like I said horrible hospital and workers!

Yesterday I had an outpatient procedure and I have to give shout outs to nurses Stephanie and Misty for making me feel so comfortable. Wonderful nurses.! Dr. Johnson and his radiology staff were also first rate. Absolutely no complaints!

My experience with the Doctors, Registered Nurses, and support staff at Lee Memorial was excellent. In this difficult time, they remained professional, and kept me safe. Dr. Michael Fromke was my Neuro Surgeon and I can not say enough good things about this man. He saved my life. Under his direction I received the best care and am on my way to a full recover.

Worst hospital experience ever, ! The staff is useless, lies about everything, can't follow through on simple tasks asked of them like noting in a chart or messaging a doctor as requested. Had family member brought by ambulance a week ago, and they did not even treat the reason he was brought in! When questioning multiple nurses and doctors about the reasons, they just pass the buck!

Then they contact us and state that he is being discharged (6 days later) and they still didn't treat the problem! Brought him into a OR for a procedure, and wasn't even the right patient or procedure! Will NEVER go back to this hospital even if dying! Useless idiots and liers! Every one of them! Pursuing legal actions against improper treatment! Do not go here. Pick one of the other 4 hospitals locally!

8 hours and counting in ER waiting to see a doctor. Staff does not care. It is rediculous. Others have come and gone and we still wait. Very unprofessional. Go to any other hospital, this one is terrible.

Thanks for the very professional, very accurate, high quality and friendly treatment provided to me from the EMS, Emergency Room, the ICU, Therapist, and Medical room 5123 staff since the 04/15/2021 to 04/17/2021 that I was in Lee Memorial Hospital. God bless you all!

The neurosurgeon here incorrectly diagnosed my mom. Said she would be a quadriplegic and on a vent for the rest of her life. Postponed her spinal cord surgery. She is moving and been off the vent for a month now praise Jesus. However, what a terrible neurosurgeon. Nurses wonderful.

This is the worst hospital. They're extremely unprofessional, dirty, slow, unorganized it's embarrassing. They lost my pee. I've been waiting 8 hours for emergency surgery! Oh and they sent me home from the ER WITHOUT SHOWING MY ULTRASOUND TO A RADIOLOGIST knowing MY GALLBLADDER WAS INFLAMED AND SWOLLEN.

Lee Memorial was NOT my hospital of choice but it was the closest I could get to. I entered ER and received outstanding care from the time I got there! The staff was great and Dr Zimmerman is exceptional and I don't know how anyone stays that upbeat but it clearly reflects on the staff. I was admitted and the staff on my floor were wonderful so much so I told Dr Hasan I had no complaints about anyone! Dr Levy was my surgeon and I have high regards for him and his team -- great surgeon, great personality and bedside manner. For me to have NO complaints after a 9 day stay is remarkable! Sorry for those who didn't receive exceptional service but I applaud and appreciate the care I got!

BEWARE! Avoid - they will take advantage of you if they know you have insurance! I would give no stars if could go that low! Our 19 year old daughter was sent to the ER by the after-hours nurse at FGCU due to stomach/pelvic pain. $14,000 later for a 2-hour visit she was diagnosed with a UTI. Our insurance fought it and the bill was reduced to $4,900 -- surprise, right what our annual deductible was.

We submitted hardship claim and they refused because she has insurance. Went to an attorney who told us that it was obvious that she had been taken advantage of and there were a battery of test done that never should have been ordered but that it would cost us more to fight than the $5k. We paid to avoid ruining her credit. But these people in the ER are full on scam artist as when talking to another parent whose daughter went to the ER with heat exhaustion and had no insurance they had a bill of $5,800 and the hospital gave them a $5,000 credit due to hardship.

I can believe all these bad reviews My friend had a motorcycle accident and stayed 3 weeks. Everybody was friendly and helpful, the food was unbelievable good for a hospital. He had no complains and whenever I visit noticed how friendly helpful and nice the staff was Ulf

Deplorable place. I arrived in Emergency early so I did not have to wait long to be treated. Staff was ok but a lot of standing around talking. My husband took a few pictures of the room I was treated in which is attached. You can see blood spots & trash on the floor. I agree with a previous person who thought of moving from their Florida winter place to somewhere where there are better doctors & hospitals. I do not recommend this hospital.

I had one of the sweetest nurses you could ask for and I wish I could remember her name but other than her & a few other friendly faces, this place is junk! There's a nurse named Angela who is rude, has zero people skills, no empathy for people in pain, and to be honest it's a straight up B***H. Avoid her at all cost! She should find a job that she doesn't hate so much because it shows that she doesn't care about people.

She needs an office job in a cubicle where nobody has to see that nasty look on her face. And not only that, I waited out in the hallway for 30 minutes on the stretcher along with many others. They were turning homeless people away. I even overheard an older gentleman come in and said he fell and they asked where and he said in the parking lot just after walking out these doors after you had said you had helped me. It was a sad sight to see.

To start with, I hate hospitals. This was a surpice. From the moment I steped inside, the stuff greeted me with a smile. It offered me a trolley to make it more comfortable. Was seem immediately, what a surprice!? Every single person was attentive and very helpful. Smile everywhere. The doctor was very intelligent and professional. It was a lunch time and they offered me a pot pie and bluebarries w a cake. It did not even taste like hoslital food Everything was clean. Everything was excellent
