Services
Lestonnac Free Clinic's mission is to provide free health care services to low-income and uninsured residents in Southern California, through the support of generous volunteers and donors. Lestonnac Free Clinic's vision is to expand the health care safety net to marginalized communities through collaboration and partnerships.
Though she had no medical training of her own, Sister saw a need to help those without adequate access to healthcare. The Clinic started merely as a place to treat children for colds and scrapes, but it quickly grew into something much greater. Through her warm spirit and persuasive nature, Sister gathered volunteers to help within the clinic.
Lestonnac provides Southern California's uninsured residents access to comprehensive medical care, including over 20 specialty care services. Lestonnac offers a wide variety of dental services to uninsured patients, including our military Veterans. Lestonnac's vision programs focus on prevention and early detection of eye disorders to reduce the risk of vision loss.
It is purely through the support of generous donors that Lestonnac Free Clinic is able to provide quality health care services to the uninsured community in Southern California. FS Clinicals offers services in clinic research, practice management and administrative support. Our goal is to assist your clinical and management needs in order to provide the best quality care for you and your clients.

Tried calling many times to set up a visit for my illness and kept getting sent to Voicemail. Once I arrived in person to ask for help they didn't even let me finish speaking before telling me I have to call to set up an appointment. No offer to set up one for me later in the week or anything. I told them I got sent to voicemail 3 separate times and their response was "we were probably busy call again later".

As I'm standing right in front of them. I'll also add the website claims that ALL services are provided for free yet every person in front of me had to pay $50 or more for their visit and there's a sign says they only accept cash for lab work. I'm wasn't even treated by them but I had to leave this for others who might be looking for help. Go elsewhere.

This clinic, even if free has provided the absolute worst care to my mother. She had an appointment on March 9th. She explained that she has had pain in her lower stomach for some time now. She told the doctor that she also felt a lump on her right side. The doctor told her to schedule an ultrasound to see what it was. The appointment was 2 weeks out for this date.

In the mean time they did not give her any medication for her pain or any information on how to alleviate it. Last week she had so much pain she had to go to Mexico to see a doctor urgently as she could not get appointments here and the ER is too expensive. They did an ultrasound and they found a tumor on her ovary. Today she finally had her ultrasound here, and they did not check her ovaries.

When she explained to them what she was told, THEY TOLD HER TO MAKE ANOTHER ULTRASOUND APPOINTMENT! She begged for help to help her figure out what to do with this tumor without having to go to Mexico. The doctor and nurses were no help here. They do not care what people could be going through. Even if free or affordable this place deserves 0 stars.

I appreciate they offer free medical service, however the whole management is like chaos. I've had my first appoint to see a PA and requested to have dental and vision referral. He totally forgot. I found out until the second appointment he totally forgot. I have to call office to make sure they have my Vision referral. I explained to the girl on the phone I want my next appointment to be vision check, she booked appointment for me.

However after I drove half an hour and arrived on the appointment day, they told me my appointment today was with regular doctor instead of vision. They referred me outside and I should received a phone call from them. I wasn't been told any of these info. I wasted another morning coming here. If you really really need to be seen here, please verify at least twice with the staff and make sure they finished your request correctly. Otherwise you are completely wasting your time here. The staff doesn't even know what they are doing :

I have been going to the Lestonnac Free Clinic for dental treatment for the last 2 years. Even though it takes time to get an appointment the staff will go above and beyond to get your treatment undergoing. Dr. Z is who gets everything done. He is very professional and personable at the same time which makes the experience of going to a dentist a lot easier. Dr. Z deeply cares about his patients and it shows in his work. Celeste coordinates everything from the appointments all the way to the treatment.

She is very professional and compassionate and cares a lot about her patients' treatment. Annie makes all the effort to keep me updated about my appointments and scheduling and she is always welcoming during the treatment session. The free clinic has provided me with excellent service but obviously the staff mentioned above made all the positive impressions. The clinic is lucky to have them aboard.

I understand the doctors her volunteer there time to help and I really appreciate it they have been great. But the staff here does not. They get paid And I had the worst experience with an older employee here she was very rude and disrespectful towards my mother and her tone of voice was not okay. She brough her in with a group of people and in-front of them was speaking loudly toward my mother and myself.

Which I don't think is very HIPPA. I told her that I did not appreciate the way she was speaking to her and she shouldn't talk like that to her or any patient. She kept being rude and apologized but sounded very sarcastic and proceeded to say that is the way she spoke that way. I don't think anyone should be treated that way. Rosa was her name she was an older lady.

Exceptional place. All negative reviews are either from u grateful people or people who perhaps know little to nothing about how a free clinic differs from other health networks. Referrals may take a while but at least they are free. I certainly didn't mind waiting a couple of weeks to see an orthopedic for free rather than paying $350+ out of pocket elsewhere.

Lab work was also completed in a timely manner at little to almost no cost. just $15! Top that elsewhere smh Dr Shaw has been the nicest and most thorough doctor I've ever had the privilege to come across. God bless this place

I'm sure this clinic does amazing work for its patients which is why I was originally interested in volunteering. I attended a volunteer orientation lead by Brianna on Feb 8th. It was going okay until she told interested volunteers "You need us more than we need you." Can't say that's a great way to attract or retain volunteers but I guess they don't need us anyway. I will be looking at another free clinic to volunteer my time.

Professional staff that are very caring and detail oriented. They took the time to listen and attend to my needs. They are trained well following all Covid-19 protocol.

Free but you will already have died before you will be treated. They will schedule your lab exams almost one month after they check you, and another one month wait for the result to be read to you. By that time, your illness have either miraculously healed or you have already turn critically ill.

This clinic helped me when I needed it the most, I don't understand why people write negative reviews, this is a free clinic. One or two cheesy employees may give a bad reputation, but their main mission is to help the poorest of the poor, which is amazing. Their care in my opinion is better than other renowned world class medical centers, which I think they are only after your money.

Great patient care and very compassionate. They are very limited due to their volunteer doctors who have their own private practices and do this to help those who are underserved.

This clinic has helped my family and myself a lot. They're very friendly and very helpful. I love the work each and everyone does here. The wait is long, but it's worth it. Doctor's volunteer their own time to help the people with low income. I've been recommending this clinic to my patients parents at choc. Good place to get treated.

If you are low income, this is the place to be! Lestonnac provides FREE medical, dental, vision, etc. services. I cannot recommend Lestonnac more than enough because of the compassionate healthcare providers and friendly staff. Bonus: If you are a US Veteran, you may request dental services which are COMPLETELY FREE.

I understand this is "kind of free" clinic in reality it's low cost you still have to paid for the services, meds, and lab work. Come at 4-5 am in the morning first time for try to get a space which it's limited, they don't respect first come first serve, it's a lot disorganize system, appointment or not appointment be ready for wait in periods 4-5 hrs, doctors maybe 1 it's good, I haven't seen one, sorry, maybe this clinic was good in the past but not now. This is what I passed and it's true.

Worst customer service ever! The lady right away said no that they were not taking walk ins or new patients. Interesting because the lady before me the another gentlemen with a kid were new and just walked in. I can understand Spanish Maria Martinez. If you don't want to help out people, then don't work at a facility where you have to help people out.

After I left I walked back in and asked her to get me an appointment and again she said no that they were booked for the next 3 weeks. I asked her to look on the computer and she said the same thing. I asked her one more time to go in and check she finally did, however said the same thing. I asked if there was another place and she said everything is booked. WOW!

The nerve this lady has. I sat in my car for a few minutes before walking in and heard the man with the kid tell someone the phone we just arrived and I hope they take us in Spanish. Sure enough he was seen as a new patient. If you don't want to help people in need, get another career. Especially when I am trying to get this FRA for complete for fostering. Just read a previous review below, clearly this facility is homophobic.

I received a call claiming i had to reschedule my appointment because they wont be open due to the "strawberry festival". Clearly online it says they will be open till 5. Worst part is when I tried to reschedule an appointment they did not answer, and when they did pick up they only asked for my name and put me on hold. Really unprofessional.

Laughing at all these losers complaining about calling and calling! How about you show up during business hours? How about you stand on Saturday in the morning at 2AM like the rest of the people who actually need Health Care. Everyone complaining about this place does not deserve any help from them PERIOD. Are you that eager for Dental and Health Care? Stand in line and be ready to have a tent ready because there are people just like you who need care the most. RESPECT IT

If you need it, there is free healthcare available in Orange, CA at Lestonnac Free Clinic. I volunteer there as an acupuncturist and see firsthand how well the clinic is maintained. Every patient is treated with dignity, kindness and respect. If you don't need free healthcare but would like to volunteer there, they always need more healthcare practitioners (doctors, dentists, dental hygienist, therapists, acupuncturists, nutritionist and more) as well as clerical and fundraising volunteers. Training is provided for clerical and fundraising. You can volunteer as little or as much as you like and they will work around your schedule.

The Doctors here are Amazing! First of all I like to say thank you so much for helping me! For me I had just started working and my 90 days weren't up so I had no insurance, so this place was a God sent. I went in on a Wednesday in the afternoon and there was no one. I filled out some regular paper work and waited no more then 15 minutes. I went to the exam room and three doctors ( one being the main doctor) came in, this is a learning clinic so students are doing there internships here and I was informed of that right way. As a teacher I don't mind at all, they were all kind and friendly. I was out with in 30 minutes, thank you again.

Took my bf there last sat, we arrived around 10:30am. There was a bunch of ppl outside. he went in for about 10 min or so and told us we had to come back in 4 hrs. The receptionist even offered to call him. We ran errands until 1:30ish and he got to see the doctor. He liked the doctor he got a lot, said she was really nice and friendly. So glad to have found this free clinic. I really do hope we will be about to see more around orange county.

Long long wait. opens at 9am, but was #5 in line since 7:30am. It was a rainy morning so I think there would have been alot more people in front of me if it was a sunny day. Doctor: very nice, caring. Process: Wait outside, until let you be seated. then you gotta remember how you were behind. Wait to be called to sign a form (30min - 1hour until called to sign form), wait (hour - 4hours) until you go inside, they do general test of blood pressure, height, weight and then you either go inside 30min+ or outside and then go in & wait. Saturdays are walk-ins for the public, only day out of the week for public.
