I would like to voice my appreciation of the excellent care I received by the E.R. physician, staff and flight crew on May 19th. No team could be thorough, professional and caring. McAlester Regional's staff is what makes her great.!Again thank you for your excellent Servant's Spirit. McAlester area has no real understanding of how blessed we are to have this wonderful caring and highly professional staff at their local Hospital.

NO THERE IS NO THANKS TO THIS PLACE. HAVE BEEN WAITING 5 HOURS FOR A EXRAY AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME THERE IS ONLY ONE EXRAY PERSON IN THIS WHOLE PLACE. THEY CANT FIND OUT HOW LONG IT IS GOING TO BE THEY CANT TELL ME WHEN I CAN SPEAK TO A NURSE OR DOCTOR. YOU COULD DIE IN THIS PLACE BEFORE YOU EVER SEE ANYBODY BUT A CNA.

This place is not fit to even be called a hospital and if you ever need to speak with a supervisor about the horrible care they provide they will never investigate your concerns. They sure want their payments though and will report you to a credit bureau to pay them, even if you had to go to receive care elsewhere because of their ineptness. I do not know if the staff just does not care about the oaths they took as doctors and nurses or if they hire people that did the worse in school and on their boards.

I am a retired nurse and I have worked for large hospitals, as well as small hospitals that could actually provide quality care to everyone. McAlester hospital is a joke and I would not take my dog to their hospital. They have no compassion or concern.

I went to the ER on December 15, with severe back pain. I have a long history of kidney stones and felt that was what was going on. however I had taken a bad fall landed on my rear end a week ago. So honestly I wasn't sure what was hurting. They did a CT and doc said there were no new injuries to my back, but I did have a kidney stone. He said it's not moving so no way could it behurting.

When I asked "how do you think I knew that was what was going on, pain" doc became extremely rude and said "I'm not going to argue with you!" I replied "buddy I'll argue with you all day long about that and my urologist will back me up!" He walked out of my room! Nurse came back with discharge papers (she was very sweet and kind) I asked if he had written a prescription of any kind, she told me she didn't see any.

I said I would like to speak to him again. She went and told him. He came back in and said "you have a question for me!" I said "yes! Are you not going to prescribe me anything for pain?" He said "I can give you ultram, but nothing stronger because we are an emergency dept. we are not here for chronic conditions!" I said "well I guess that is better than nothing" he went to write the prescription and came back into the room and said "you just got a prescription for that filled 5 days ago!" "You said you don't have anything for pain, you lied to me!" I said "no I didn't, I don't have anything!" He was incorrect it had been 7 days since the refill, it was for 30 quantity 1-2 pills every 4-6 hours. Had he done the math, he would have figured it out!

I left with nothing for pain. His name is Matthew L. Jenkins if he's on duty run! Drive to another facility. His bedside manner is horrible. Look at his health grades, terrible reviews. I hope he gets a kidney stone and can't get any meds! McAlester Regional needs to dismiss him from their employment! He also should take a lesson in bedside manners! He's terrible.

They've been great before. However, I came in for chest and rib pain and sat in the ER for two hours while everyone that got there after me was admitted. Ended up leaving. Not worth the waiting in pain. Even the frequent flyer got admitted before I did. Make it make sense. They've literally never done this before. They admitted every other person but didn't have room for me. Make it make sense. Super horrible thing to do when you're supposed to be helping people and instead you leave them in the waiting room in pain for hours.

My family member recently spent time in ICU and on 2 West. We found the facilities and staff exceptional. We were shown respect, patience, and received excellent care throughout. The staff were knowledgeable and took care to listen to the patient as well as endure countless questions from the family. Thanks especially to Mandy and Geneva on 2 West for their concern and help.

Not many people were in visiting, just myself and 3 other people. Service was great, good bedside manner from nurses and doctors but the wait was a little ridiculous. From start to finish, about 4 hours. Glad I wasn't dying. .

Although they saved my finger and the surgeon was excellent the rest of the doctors were less than desirable to deal with. The nurses were excellent too. I can't thank the ER staff, my surgeon, and my nurses enough. The other doctors I dealt with are the reason for the 2 stars. They do not know what they are doing and put me at risk and that's all I'll say on here about that.

Plus they said they would give me a copy of my medical records for me to take with as I live out of state but never did and that has severely delayed me on getting treatment at home because everyone had to wait for my medical records. Plus they made me stay longer than what was absolutely necessary because I was on my own. That was there excuse for keeping me even though I was fully capable of taking care of myself.

Plus they said they'd give me a taxi voucher and never did. I'm not very pleased with how they handled my discharge either. They need a better system in place so everyone is on the same page.

My 4yr old had a peanut contact today and was getting worse by the minute. He was seen quickly and treated within 5 minutes. He's okay all due the quick response and professional care. Thank you McAlester Regional!
