The best experience possible. The team really took out all the worries I had about getting LASIK and were able to make happen what I didn't think was possible with extremely poor vision and astigmatisms. The greatest thing is I can finally see when I wake up in the morning without glasses or contacts, and I don't have to worry about contacts drying out or falling out of my eyes due to eye irritations. Truly life changing. Should have done it sooner.

I've been a patient for several years and Dr. Bostian is very thorough and pleasant. The technicians are quality as evidenced from my latest experience with Rylee.

Thank you Dr. Betts and MEA for giving me the best lasik experience possible. I have worn glasses since I was five years and it's such a huge difference to be out of them completely. Dr. Betts made me feel like I was his only patient and treated me with such kindness.

Dr. Bastian was very good and explained my present condition to me quite clearly. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the environment was pleasant, comfortable, and very clean. I have been going to McDonald Eye Clinic in Fayetteville for five or six years now and I feel good about my choice to use them.

I had lasik surgery on December 30. Today is December 31st and I have never had better vision. Dr. Grover was the doctor who was at my pre-op two days before my surgery and he was very nice, always asked if I had any questions or concerns of what was being told to me. The day of surgery I was waiting in a lasik waiting room Dr. Betts who was the doctor doing the surgery came into the room and introduced himself to me. Went over what to expect in the surgery room, that way I don't be surprised by anything.

During surgery Dr. Betts talked to me the whole time, he let me know what was coming, I felt calm. Surgery was quick. My eyes were very sensitive to the light so I went home and took a nap, the following day my eyes weren't feeling light sensitivity, which was amazing and quick for me. The pain was only felt for a few hours, I find it worth it since it's a fast recovery.

I've been using glasses since I was in 4th grade, contacts since I was in 6th grade I am now 27 years old and don't have to worry about glasses or contacts anymore. Lasik was the best decision I've ever made. Thank you McDonald Eye Team for giving me my vision back. I highly recommend McDonald Eye Associates.

I got lasik done here after over a decade of wearing contacts, and I've never looked back! The staff were all incredibly attentive and patient when answering my questions leading up to the surgery. All of my follow up appointments and check ins after have all had great experiences. I've never felt as though I've been stuck in the waiting room for too long, and the doctors have all taken the time to show that they care in appointments, rather than seeming like they are rushing to the next appointment.

Had a botched surgery on my right eye in 2015 at another clinic that left permanent damage so was afraid to have anything done after that. I needed a new prescription for glasses so I gave this office a chance. Was told I had a film over my left lens that could be cleared up with a simple laser procedure and that I should do that first as I may not need new glasses afterwards.

That was fine; made sense. Was told someone would make an appointment for me. After about a week of not hearing from anyone I tried to call about it. Went to a voicemail. Waited, no callback. Couple more tries finally got one. Requested my records to show my endocrinologist and renal doctor. Reading through that I noticed I was supposed to put eye drops in for two days prior to the procedure.

Nobody mentioned that! So back to the dreaded phone calls, poor selection of options and voicemails. Finally got a prescription but found later it had gone to wrong pharmacy. Thankfully my pharmacy pulled through on it for me. I wouldn't have known I was even supposed to have the drops if I hadn't requested my records for other reasons. Tried to explain all of this when I arrived for the procedure and was treated as if it was no big deal.

Certainly did not make me feel confident about my procedure. My fear was legitimate! No matter how simple it was, I don't know for sure and if something were to go wrong, I might not be able to work or drive. I mean, if they can't keep up with appointments and prescriptions then how are they on their procedures? Thankfully it went well. But you have to keep after them! Suggestion: have an option for an operator who can direct your call to the proper contact.

Follow up when you tell someone they will be notified of an appointment. Make sure you set up prescriptions if they need them. Give us some info to read about the procedure beforehand. You can do better!

The best place in the area to get LASIK. I went to multiple places before choosing Macdonald Eye Associates and I can't even compare the others in the area because of how much I loved this place. The staff was so friendly every time I was there. They were very open and clear about the surgery and answered any question I had. Before this I was very cautious about the surgery and was very anxious about it.

But after the pre op appointments I was very confident in the surgery due to the wonderful staff and the support I had received from them. During the surgery, I was walked through everything, the drops, how long everything took, and what happens step by step. I was very relaxed the entire time. I didn't feel a thing, which was my biggest fear. I am very happy with the decision to get LASIK and even happier with getting it done at MacDonald Eye Associates. I would recommend everybody wanting to get the procedure done to do it here.

My cataract surgery done by Dr. Betts. He answered all of my questions and helped me decide on the replacement lens. The staff was professional and my appointments were always on time. The surgery process was quick and painless. I called in on a couple of occasions after surgery with questions and their response was quick and helpful. I decided to go with the Crystalens and the results have been amazing. I wish I had done this sooner.

McDonald Eye always takes as much time as I need to answer any questions and I never feel rushed. I have been waiting since April to have cataract surgery. Due to having severe dry eyes my Dr recommended treating my eyes first. I just saw Dr Mengarelli yesterday and I'll finally have my 1st surgery Sept 2nd! All the Drs & techs treat you like you are the only patient they have! McDonald Eye is a caring & great Eye Care Center.

A friend recommended them to me & I will do the same! 12/8/21 I recently had cataract surgery on my Left eye first & two weeks later my Right eye. The surgical prep team treated me with such gentle care & they kept checking in on me to be sure I was comfortable & to be sure everything was ok. Both surgeries went well, Dr Mengarelli is an amazing young optical surgeon!

I'm seeing Dr Grover for all my followup visits & he too is very thorough. He listens, answers all my questions, & explains everything in terms I can understand. I'm thankful for the Drs, nurses, techs, & ladies who work up front.all are friendly & there to make my future to see clearly better! Thank you
