The Columbia Heights location is trash. The wait time is ridiculous and I did all of my forms online. I don't know what took so long to be seen. There was barely anyone there. The MA was cool and got what I needed. The doctor had a bad attitude and continued to over talk me while I was answering his questions, and even rolled his eyes at me. Just go anywhere, but here.

Like Dr. Spargo here but I'm always kept waiting and never receive phone calls back or prescriptions sent in. This time I'm in the room waiting for the doctor for 1:20 minutes. What a joke! Subpar service and nobody cares a bit about patients. Nor do they keep appointments so why bother making one? Update- the doc just snapped on me because I asked him if he could see me soon after an hour and a half wait. Go to AllCare! This place is the pits!

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible and unprofessional! They rush you, are rude, talk about their potential patients in a foreign language, rush you and don't give you grace to figure out your insurance. Now I understand why the mortality rate of black women is high.

I went to the Columbia Heights location for a UTI test with Erika Jambal. After waiting 5 days I called to check on my results and they told me that my urine sample had not been submitted. It was lost. I expressed my concern and she told me to come back in and retake my test. She ensured me that she would put an emergency label on my test so that it will come quickly from the lab because of the mistake that was made before. It's been 4 days and I still haven't received my results.

The customer service rep is dismissive and can't do anything to help. I asked to speak with a manager, she told me that the manager was unavailable. She gave me an email address to send a message to about this situation in which no one responded. This has been my worst experience ever with a health care facility

Well I usually I don't write these post but the nurse here is very rude. She constantly rushed me and attempted to go her speed she stopped me. When u expressed to her how rude she has been she's not. I tried to move on with the test she actually stopped until she was ready. This is the Columbia Heights location, the nurse have attitude, the doctor wasn't too much. She didn't know my name and didn't introduce herself and why I asked her it "Its Erica". All of it just seemed rushed and unpleasant and uncomfortable.

Here is a picture of my arm after the blood draw. The attitude of the nurse bothered me much more than the bruise. She just did not care.

Front desk staff (Ms. Lopez) is wonderful. The NP (Erika or Erdenesuren Jambal) is not. These people won't give the appropriate medicine for pain. Fractured foot? Strong Advil. I shared that I had been taking 400mg of Advil every 2 hours and was given an RX for 500mg. Go elsewhere if you hurt!

The place looks very basic, but I can definitely recommend to visit, especially if you have relatively minor issues (its based on my personal experience). Overall, Prices are very reasonable for immigration tests, and for other basic services. I really appreciate Dr. Rashid help with my cyst. My special thanks go to. sorry, I don't remember his name. I guess he is a nurse --a gentleman from Argentina--very nice and friendly

John Spargo was the Nurse Practitioner taking care of me and I have never been so disrespected by a member of the medical field. He was rude, disrespectful, condescending, and entirely unhelpful. This is not how a patient should be treated by someone who claims to be taking care of them! I will never go back to this office.

When I'm working temporarily in this "state" I go see Dr. K and I'm forever thankful and impressed. His staff is always professional. I make appointments and usually late evening. I never wait over 15 minutes after my appointment. It's funny how people complain about the wait at the doctor, but will wait in line any other time. Sometimes those waits are a way of giving you a moment to reassess, relax, and rejuvenate. I've learned to pass the time with something.

Unless I'm in a hurry then I leave and make another appointment. That simple. The Dr has been helpful in my needs and I can't say anything bad. I give 4.5 stars because no one is perfect.

Not as bad as the Dupont location, but that's not saying much. Although the place was empty I still had to wait 30 minutes to be seen. Front desk staff was awkward and couldn't understand the very basic issue I was having. The doctor was also awkward and rude, and spoke down to me several times. Why does this company employ so many people without basic social skills?

This review is specifically for the front desk/ office staff, not the doctors or medical personnel. I waited 1 hour and I had an appointment. i came on time, checked in and then sat right in front of the admin person. one hour passed and I had to go up to ask when I would be seen since i had been sitting. He looked at me in some surprise and then I was lead straight back for my appointment. it also amused me that the doctor said I should have called him sooner about my condition.

I HAD called the front desk - they are just incompetent. Also, they brought up a bill from 2019 that was not paid. and said that it had been sent to collections. I never received a bill, call or voicemail for them. I am pretty sure they just try to scam people.

Horrible billing practices. Repeatedly pressured into doing a "fully covered" preventive screening. They did a bunch of tests that were not covered or medically necessary, which effectively forced me to do a bunch of unnecessary followups. My "covered" visit ended up costing more than $500.

This place has the absolute worst service, zero bedside manner, and garbage patient care. Sandra at the front desk is either a liar or incompetent. Regardless it's clear this place provides ZERO training in patient care for anyone who works there. You're better off staying sick and untreated than stepping foot in this dump. This place is the Donald Trump of medical clinics - zero empathy and compassion and it's all about them.

If I could leave a lesser rating i would. I see Dr. Rashid is highly praised in the reviews and I'm left wondering how. He's very egotistical, and negligent. Prescribing medicines with interactions to one another. Prescribing medicines that would negatively effect health conditions he's aware of. Then when you bring it to his attention he yells and repeatedly ask do you know who I am. YES SOMEONE WHOS OBVIOUSLY TRYING TO KILL ME. Unwilling to put his pride aside for the betterment of the patient. Reception staff is highly unprofessional and just down right trifling which is no direct reflection of the office manager who is very pleasant.

Will be filing an official report with the board of medicine and I pray race doesn't have anything to do with his attitude and negligence. That being said whoever reads this you deserve better care keep searching

I had to visit Dr. Rashid the other day when I accidentally got hit in the head with a lacrosse ball while practicing with some friends. By the time I got to the clinic I was extremely nauseous and was definitely not in the mood of talking but Dr. Rashid remained super patient as he listens to me describing my conditions and what had happened. Afterwards, he helped to prescribed some medicines and gave me a lot of advices on what I should do and be careful of.

Aside from that, he also made sure that there was nothing else wrong with me before I left the place. He is such a caring person! Overall, this place have really friendly staffs and clean environment. In addition, this place is open 6 days a week so you can technically walk in anytime you need for assistance. However, the wait might be a bit long from time to time. Therefore, if you are planing to visits the clinic on Friday or Saturday, I would definitely recommend going in as early as possible to avoid the wait if you don't have an appointment already.

I've used Medics USA on 17th for approximately three years. There can be a turn over of staff but I've never had a bad experience. The techs are great. Dr. Rashid is very understanding and wants to ensure that all patients receive the care that they need. The call center is difficult but if you contact the offices directly things are much easier. This practice has helped me get the care I have needed for year as. Will definitely be a patient for years to come.

There are many negative reviews on here but they seem to be misguided in my opinion. If you are looking for a constant primary care physician that requires an appointment a week or more in advance then this is not the place for you. If you want a place where you can drop in any time any day for simple medical needs then I doubt you'll find a place more accommodating than here.

They are open 7 days a week and are walk in friendly. Usually total visit time is an hour even as a walk in! I've been to other Doctors where scheduled appointments usually took longer than that! Pro's: -walk in friendly -open late (9 pm) on weekdays -open 7 days a week -usually visits including wait time are no more than an hour -fair prices -Dr. Rashid is great Con's: -throughout my 5 years visiting this place I have seen a fair bit of turnover. It's frustrating at times getting to know a new physician/practitioner -wait time can be long at times. Try to avoid 5 pm during the weekday -receptionists can be a bummer -phone support for medications is practically non-existent

I have had excellent service here multiple times. When my doctor has not been available they took care of my needs and communicated well with my pharmacy. I never waited excessive times. For emergency this place is very professional and effective. Lower back issues.

I have never been impressed with this place, but my most recent visit compelled me to write a review. I went in at about 8pm to get an immunization record signed. The office was nearly empty and no one else was waiting. I handed the woman at the front desk (light-skinned, young woman with hair in a bun) my forms and all my records. She seemed to prioritize flirting with another employee over filling out a short form.

Not only did she refuse to fill out the form even though I had all my records, but she was rude and stated that she had a "crapload of other forms". Yes, you read that right. They charged me a $20 copay and slapped an extra $15 fee on top of that. To get a form signed. Then told me it would take 3-5 business days for something they could have done in 5 minutes.

To my dismay and confusion, they then told me I had to see the doctor. I don't know why it was mandatory for me to see a doctor simply to get a form signed. I got to see none other than the wonderful Dr. Rashid of course. note the sarcasm. I have been a patient at this god-awful practice for over 3 years now, and he asks me "have you been here before?" Yup, I have.

He told me in the past that my diet plan will not work and I will never lose weight unless I go on keto. I guess he didn't remember that. I explained that I only came there to have a form signed, to which he replied "you have to ask her, at the front desk. See if she'll do it, I don't know." Then he walked off. Avoid this place at all costs.

They are disorganized, rushed, and genuinely do not care about you. Doctors are dismissive and incompetent, majority of the receptionist staff is rude. You would get better quality care just about anywhere else.

I had a bad experience but I'm sure for "some" people it may be another way. I was not treated like a customer and I was not given proper attention. The doctor who read me my results by looking at my arm for 0.2 secs ignored my question when I asked if he didn't mind signing my college grad form needed. And he ignored me and handed my results to the receptionist.

He says the receptionist will take care of it and walked away. The receptionist hands me the paper results and say everything you need is on the form. I had to raise my voice and let him know that was not all I needed. For school I need doctors npi number and signature. He then takes the paper and fills out the form incorrectly by putting the npi number where the name was asked for. Told me "there wasn't any space" but he didn't read the form. There were two separate boxes for the name and number. He whites it out and hands it over. As a patron, this was such a disappointment.

I've been coming here for about 5 years. This place has gone downhill since some doctors have left and now provides you with the worst doctors available to DC. I went in to see a new doctor, Azin Raouf. I asked for a Xanax refill which I haven't had in 6 months but am usually prescribed 30 pills for a three month span which I need after my dads passing and she refused. She was extremely rude and inconsiderate. She put me down and made me feel awful. Absolutely no bed side manner. Will never return here and advise most to steer clear.

I normally do not write reviews however my appointment recently with Dr. E was disappointing. For brevity, I've listed reasons below: 1. Upon arriving, she did not introduce herself which I thought was odd as this was the first time I'm meeting her. I had to ask her her name before I left. 2. Though I responded the first time and was met with "ok", I was asked 3 more times if I was allergic to penicillin.

I started counting after the second time. 3. My questions were met with brief answers. Some facts I would expect her to be the first to mention such as "it appears you have a throat infection" or "I'm prescribing ____ to/because." 4. Aside from checking my lymph nodes. I cannot say that she looked up from her computer more than twice during our visit.

Overall it was extremely impersonal which is ironic in a healthcare setting. With a policy change to pay $100.00 before ever seeing a doctor and being met with this service, I am doubting that you're getting your money's worth. I gave two stars as this has not been a reoccurring event but I would encourage looking at other professionals for medical help.

Upon arrival the front desk staff was very impatient and rude to say the least. The physician that saw us basically said that the injury would go away with exercising. Without taking a X-ray or anything to support that theory. I strongly suggest you pick another Medics location.

Doctors seem fine and professional, but back office just does not care. Every time as I leave I ask what I have to pay, I pay whatever is needed. Mind you, obviously they also have my information, so they could call me. Instead, every time, about a month after visit I get a collections letter. Last time that happened, while annoyed I just paid that bill immediately, 2 months ago, yet I am trying to refinance my house and i have 120 point hit on my credit score, because they still didn't report my payment. That is the kind of service you can expect from them.

This is a great place to go if you have an emergency. I often don't need to see the doctor until I have an emergency, and they do a good job of getting you in and writing you a prescription. I've had them successfully treat me on a moment's notice for a stye (a few weeks before my wedding), the flu, and bronchitis. It's not a perfect service--the website has flaws that need to be fixed. But in a pinch, this is my go to for anything medically simple requiring immediate attention.

Service was very quick at the start. I was quickly brought in for the initial check by the nurse. Unfortunately waiting for the doctor was way too long. I was left waiting around 20 minutes. The doctor was nice, however, I feel as if he did not provide me enough verbal communication. I had an eye infection and was worried it was pink eye -- he instead immediately went to see if my cornea was scraped.

He numbed my eye and then jabbed my eye with a needle without warning. I mean -- no one wants to know thats going to happen but I think communication would have gone a long way to me not screaming expletives with a needle in my eye. Regardless -- as far as the service is concerned -- I left with an antibiotic which eventually healed my eye, but I didnt feel as if I ever had fully understood what I was actually suffering from.

I have been going here for a few years, whenever I need to see a doctor right away. My regular doctor is usually too busy to see me without a wait of at least a few days. I have had nothing but good experiences. Of course in a walk-in type place there is sometimes a wait, but it isn't usually very long. (I noticed another reviewer complained about a 20 minute wait.

In a walk-in clinic, that is great! Some places you will wait an hour.) The staff is courteous and professional, the office is always perfectly clean, and the doctors are great. I especially like Dr. Africa but all the doctors are good.
