They aren't in the business of helping people. Four years and I'm still have symptoms that are just getting more acute. Told GI I didn't want to see a nutritionist, but it was forced on me. Nutritionist added no value. I was already doing the few things that were recommended. Staff asks where I want my scan, takes notes. Fails to send it to the system I requested and changed the scan procedure without talking to me. AND refuses to apologize and take responsibility for her mistake.

If you go there, expect to treat the staff with kid gloves or you'll be in big trouble-the practice won't bother being courteous. Even office manager yelled at me and hung up on me.

As a patient of this place for almost a year, I have only been here a few times and today was the today I came in for my first ever colonoscopy. Understandably, I was nervous and the prep you need to do before it quite uncomfortable and long, however it's absolutely necessary for the procedure. When I got there, I checked in and was able to do so quickly and efficiently. Plus, I wasn't even waiting all that long to be seen.

After getting undressed and hooked up to the IV, they started fluids and vitals, and before I knew it I was being wheeled into the operating room. They gave me anesthesia and the next thing I remember was waking up, where they immediately came to check on me and give me some water. The discharge was fairly easily, and I felt completely comfortable and safe with them. Would recommend!

I really like and respect my Doctor, Dr. Krimms. The MA (Cat) is wonderful with good humor and excellent service. But I can't say the same for the way this practice manages patient contact. I have called on a few occasions and been forced to leave a voice mail. I NEVER get a call back. I have to call back and keep trying until I actually get a person. If it's Cat, I always get great service. But if I have to leave a message, I've just learned to not even bother, just keep calling until I get someone.

Dr Hyatt and staff are all great so far. First time in my life having some medical issues so I was very nervous getting put under for the first time for an endoscopy. The anesthesiologist was very caring and he tried to put me at ease and it was very helpful. Throughout my appointments Dr Hyatt has been very thorough and patient. I appreciate that he is trying to get to the bottom of my stomach pain that my primary has dismissed. His medical assistant is also very nice and attentive on the phone.

A few days ago, I came in with fear and concerns about an on going stomach issue. However, Dr. Krim made me feel like I was more of a nuisance to him for coming in. The nurse who brought me to the room seemed to be more concerned than the actual doctor himself. He told me that they've done all the tests, what more do I want him to do. The problem hasn't been fixed, all I want is help

I had two procedures in April done by Dr Herzig and her team. Everyone is so kind and the communication is great, results were relayed in a timely manner. Special shout out to Michelle and Laura my nurses, they were both exceptional.

Beautiful facility, easy to get to, lots of parking. Process is easy to navigate from making appointment to processing paperwork. Everything is confidential and comfortable. Anesthesiologist, nurse anesthetist, nurses and Dr. Linn were accommodating. Patiently explained procedure and results. Dr Linn was especially supportive, no rushing no chaos. Ive unfortunately had to have 23 colonoscopies in the last 10 years. I had them in the best hospitals in NYC by a pre-eminent colonoscoper.would have gone back however covid put a glitch in that plan so i made alternate plans and glad i did.

EXCELLENT. From moment appointment was scheduled thru ending and consult with doctor, communications were thorough, individualized, professional and kind. There was reasonable wait time and attentive care. I felt safe and protected from spread of Covid. There was balance between lite humor as all staff strove to meet my needs. Appreciated the day after followup.

The wait time is terrible here. Each time at least 45 min. to an hour. One was an early morning appointment with a timed procedure. Going early still meant a long wait and not having eaten the night prior to the appointment made it a challenge. Seems like a lot of staff here but still back ups. I do think the medical care is very good if you don't mind the waits.

EXCELLENT check in was easy. Procedure initiated in a timely manner. Procedure completed quickly. Doctors and nurses communicated and performed well. I felt comfortable with the COVID 19 prevention steps that were taken to keep patients safely separated. Will have next procedure done here as well.

Great experience. Staff was very professional and efficient. Doctor Epstein was personal and confident in his medical exam and diagnosis. The overall process was well described and seamless. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone who needs a GI related medical services.

Went for an upper endoscopy recently. As someone with extreme health anxiety, everyone here was very comforting and reassuring about the procedure. From the nurses, to Dr. Patel, and to the anesthesiologist team, everyone made it a pain free and comfortable experience. They even played music of my choice before I zonked out from the anesthesia lol.

I highly recommend them, and especially Dr. Patel. Also to anyone with anxiety about procedures like this, I literally fell asleep and woke up without knowing anything had happened. So don't stress!

I would not suggest this place. I've been going here for four years, and every single time (approximately every 6 weeks at least for the last 10 months, less frequently before) I try to change the pharmacy in their system from one that is an hour round trip from my house, to one that's down the street from me. Every single time the person I talk to says "no problem, you're all set" and every time it's not true.

It then takes approximately 2-3 weeks for them to remedy the problem going back and forth and back and forth, telling me it's the pharmacy's fault but the pharmacy says they never got it. so that I can pick up my medication (which I take daily, and can't really go 2 weeks without). I have found the staff to be incredibly standoffish about this problem - every time I explain to them and ask them to double check that it's actually been changed, they roll their eyes and tell me they did.

To this day, still no success. My doctor also only has appointments on weekdays until 2:00, and takes a lunch break from 12-1, which means that I need to leave work and take a sick day every six weeks to see him. I have had the last straw and I'm switching to a new gastro as soon as I can. While the doctor has done his best and (I assume) given me sound medical advice, I know I can get that from any other qualified gastro and it is not worth the hassle of this dysfunctional office.

These people are incompetent! Their office staff has no answers when you call - tells you they will do things and then not do them - they don't have a clue! The NP is rude and snippy! I suggest the good Dr's chip in some of their profits and hire some better help! SO glad I have found a good Dr with a great office staff!

I had a colonoscopy which included the removal of a large polyp they found. I had no issues with any of the nurses or doctors. I asked them if I could do it without anesthesia. They said sure, but how about they put in the thing in my arm so that if I change my mind they can do it quickly? I lasted about 20 seconds before I begged them to put me under.

I wouldn't last long under torture. I think most doctors wouldn't have accommodated my request in the first place, but they were patient and humored me. Efficient, professional, and no complications.

Made an appointment with them for a routine procedure and then the following day had to cancel. I then received a rude message from the Doctors Asst. demanding to know why it was cancelled. I ignored her as it was none of her buisness. Two weeks go bye and the office calls for my insurance at which point I inform them the appointment has been cancelled.

Twenty minutes later the same rude assistant calls pretending to be surprised the appointment was cancelled and demanded to know why. I returned her call and notified her I was a little surprised she was pretending to be confused when I have a voicemail message from her with a time and date stamp confirming the cancellation two weeks ago. No sure if she is just incompetent or trying to set me up for a last minute charge for a late cancellation.

If they cant handle a cancellation I certainly dont want them performing any medical procedures on me or any member of my family. After discovering these reviews after the fact Im glad I cancelled, best to stay away from this place.

It doesn't matter how good the doctors are the billing was terrible, after paying over $700 at the time of the procedure we were then sent bills for over $500 for deductibles and anesthesia. Being a single mother a two children they would not work with us at all and sent our bill to collection. My daughter had changed addresses and we never received any of the bills.

Even when I paid the bill they still took another $71 for collection fees. I would not use this practice and if you do BE WARE OF FEES. They will not work with you. My daughter was fine and the doctor was nice but we were not informed prior to the procedure concerning all the fees. When I spoke to the billing office I said I am surprised I'm the only one complaining and she said I was not the only one. BE WARE, BE WARE, BE WARE

My experience with Middlesex Gastroenterology, and more specifically, Dr. Devarajan. After my initial appointment (which included 8 or 9 blood tests), it was 3 weeks before Dr. Devarajan looked at the results of my blood tests. His assistant called me with the results, and informed me I have cirrhosis. Nothing more. I have never as a doctor's assistant call me and inform me I have a disease.

And a number of other doctors and medical professionals I told about being informed by a doctor's assistant that I have a disease, were incredulous. and dumbfounded. During the duration of being Dr. Devarajan's patient, he ordered the following tests and procedures: an ultrasound, an abdominal MRI, an endoscopy, a ERCP (much like an endoscopy, but focuses on the esophagus, gallbladder and bile ducts) and numerous blood tests.

And once again, his assistant called me with the various test results, and told me the endoscopy "was fine" and the ERCP "looked great". The total and complete lack of any discussion of my condition (during two appointments) was shocking. During my three months as Dr. Devarajan's patient, most of my knowledge about cirrhosis was gleaned from google search and panicked emails to my primary care doctor. A horrid experience. Avoid his practice!

Great staff, great doctors. Made the whole process very easy. Once you are in, the procedure goes very quickly, and the doctors, nurses and anesthetists all coordinate to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Dr. D. was a consummate professional and explained the whole process before and the results after very clearly. To the people complaining about waiting, as is the case at EVERY doctors office these days, this isn't a drive thru at McDonalds, getting good treatment IMHO is much more important than quick treatment, and good treatment is exactly what you can expect here. Would highly recommend!

To all the Doctors I had an appointment today and was mistakenly 2hours early. The girls at the front desk were very accommodating with me and my mistake. As I waited, I couldn't help but notice the patience, politeness and professionalism by all the ladies both in the waiting room as well as the ladies outside the patient exam rooms! It is so wonderful to observe the kindness of others! Tho I'm not a fan of coming to this office, I will always look forward to the sweet kind ladies that you are so lucky to have working for you!

I had a great experience here. Was nervous initially with the colonoscopy I was scheduled for, but the Dr. made a point to explain to me step by step just how everything would go. Once she left the room with the pre-case briefing, the nurses were super kind and professional. I've sent my siblings here as well! It felt like a very safe and efficient environment Highly recommended!

AVOID! This is a horrible place--first time, a half hour wait and then the physician was rushed and brusque, no time to listen or answer questions, so when I had to return, I asked for a different physician. I WAITED AN HOUR. Finally was so upset (I actually have a life and a schedule also) I left. Now I still need to see a doctor but ANYWHERE BUT HERE! (While I was waiting, I witnessed a woman yelling at people at the desk that she had been waiting 45 mins and I dismissed it---thought she had problems. Yes, she did! The same problem I ended up with--utter disregard for patients' time!

Patient Abandonment! I have had a bad ulcerative colitis flare up since October 2017. While I had symptoms under control while taking Remicade through this Dr's office, my symptoms flared yet again over the past 30 days due to missing out on a month of Remicade from an insurance change. I was scheduled to have yet another colonoscopy (4th in a year) earlier this month.

I know my body and the past few times I have had flare up symptoms and then had a colonoscopy it has made symptoms much worse, even placing me in the hospital last November for two weeks. The day prior to my procedure I called and told them I needed to cancel my colonoscopy as I was in the start of a flare, and it would make it worse. Two days later someone form the office (Leanne) called me and said we needed to reschedule.

I told her my concerns about worsening my flare, and she held my much needed medication over my head. She said if I do not get a colonoscopy then I will not get my medication. I told her I would need to find a dr. that would give me the medication to get out of this flare. A couple of days later I received a letter in the mail for me to release my medical documents.

I called and left a message for my dr. to call me herself (not a nurse), of course she didn't call. All they care about is the $$$, 4 colonoscopies in a year is outrageous! I was diagnosed with this disease almost 20 years ago. You would think they would take into consideration that I know how my body reacts during flares. If considering this practice I would look elsewhere. Find a smaller practice that is more considerate of patient care.

Absolute WORST staff I have EVER had to speak with. Receptionist gave us a coupon for suprep from CVS and it didnt take off as much as they said it would. We went back and forth with the doctors office and CVS. I left because I was told there was nothing the pharmacy could do about the coupon. I called them back after leaving CVS and the woman said "If you would have waited 2 minutes at the pharmacy, we would have fixed this and you could have been reimbursed." Then was told that if I keep "yelling" at them they were going to hang up on me. I have NEVER been spoken to so disrespectfully by a staff member like this. I cannot speak for the doctors but they should really hire new front desk / receptionists.

I can't speak for the doctors directly as I had to leave after I had waited an hour and promised it "might" be another 15 minutes. Folks in my line of work (& all others?) don't wait 30 minutes for my attention, let alone 90 minutes. They can let someone else pay for the overbooking doc's Benz. I also heard a nurse telling a person on the phone, "I understand your situation, but we can't see you until July." God help me if I was having an emergency!

I needed to get a colonoscopy and had one at this center. I had an excellent experience and highly recommend if you need one to do it here. The nurses were excellent and eased my anxiety. I had Dr. Devarajan but I hear all of the doctors are equally good.
