The ER staff did an amazing job when we brought our 2 year old for respiratory distress. They were calm and efficient. The pediatric unit staff we're all so nice! The nurses were thorough and constantly checked on our little one. The respiratory team gave breathing treatments around the clock even though they were PRN treatments. but they gave them because I asked them to.

The food was great! Housekeeping came everyday. The nurse practitioner was very supportive and answered all of our question! The doctor was able to give us tips on how to treat any symptoms at home if this issue were to recur. We spent 3 nights in the hospital. No complaints at all!

This is an amazing hospital with very friendly staff. I was admitted overnight for cardiac issues and everyone took care of everything in a timely manner. The staff and doctors are awesome and take the time out to explain things. Dont waste your time at SGMC in Valdosta, take the extra drive and come here.

I went in last night to be seen with chest pains. Was checked in immediately, and was told to wait to be called. Within 2-3 minutes called back for vitals and ekg. From there taken immediately to a room. Now the room was dirty when we arrived, I would not even sit on the bed. Waited about 20 minutes first person to come in was Billing. A little odd, but okay.

A short time after the Doc walked in and we spoke. He asked why I was not in the bed and hooked up to the monitors which I did say, I'm sorry but the bed had not been changed. Within 2 minutes of him leaving Will(nurse) had come in stripped the bed washed it down with new sheets on. He also did my blood work and I am a very hard stick. Was perfect.

About 2 min later pain meds were in and nausea meds as I was sick from the drive up from Florida. Jessica, (my nurse) Fabulous- absolutely the best bedside manners ever! Dr. Schaffer- wonderful! Took the time to listen to the main complaint and went above and beyond for answers. Found out several issues that we never knew about until the proper tests were run. Released this early am, and doing so much better with the proper medication to treat everything.

I cannot say Thank you enough to the crew there on 10/13! I would much rather drive the 45 minutes to this hospital then the death trap we have in our town. So thank you Tift for a wonderful Er staff at least last night!

Took my wife to Tift last night with chest pains and difficulty breathing. Within 10 minutes, she had already had ekg done, and had a room. Nursing staff was great and friendly, bedside manner was outstanding! Doctor came in and explained everything that was going on, after test results came back. Spent probably a total of an hour to an hour and a half just talking and making sure we understood exactly what was up. This after a trainwreck of an ER visit the previous night in Central Florida.!

I had a procedure done here in May. I loved the entire staff EXCEPT surgery I was constantly refused anti-itch medication, pain medication and help going to the restroom. Then after going back to the room and complaining the surgical nurse supervisor advised me she had to go on her nurses words that I was too sleepy to receive anything but I don't understand why she wasn't made aware I'd asked for assistance and been refused at least three times until I made it back to my room. I guess they assumed I wasn't fully alert to remember the horrible experience.

Needed surgery immediately on my open fractured hand due to a late night car accident. PA and nurse cleaned my wound thoroughly, the nurses and tech people did extensive X-rays throughout my body, and the surgery was a success. The nurses were very attentive to me, minus 1, who seem to take their sweet time coming to me, but overall I was Happy with my visit. The doctor who performed the surgery did such a good job I don't need any further surgeries!

Been in Tifton for almost 3 years for school now but only just the other day had to go to the ER. Was experiencing severe abdominal and pelvic pain and my boyfriend drove me to the hospital because I was in so much pain I was practically screaming. When we first got there we were immediately taken back to a room and got vitals taken. Nurse seemed nice enough.

Then they asked me to give a urine sample but I was unable to so they had to use a catheter. The nurse was very rude when I started crying and moved away because the catheter hurt me so much. Told me "stop being dramatic." Then they had to do a pelvic exam, which I had never had before. First they were rude when I requested my boyfriend stay with me because I was scared, saying "Most women have them alone." Then they were very rough during the pelvic exam with no consideration for the amount of physical pain I was already in. Told me I was overreacting.

They also ran a CT scan and some bloodwork and sent me on my way with some antibiotics because "It's probably just an infection." I went into the patient portal once my results were available and it turns out that I had a 4.5 centimeter hemorrhagic cyst on my ovary that was spotted during the CT scan and nothing was said to me about it, along with some unusual bloodwork results.

The doctors were rude, cold, and uncaring, and did not communicate properly about my results nor did they seem particularly concerned about finding out what was wrong. The only reason I gave two stars was because "my" nurse who took care of me, gave me IV, etc. was phenomenal. Kind, caring, and talked to me to make sure I was comfortable. Unfortunately do not plan to return to this hospital though.

Took my husband in for chest pain last year and was told it was pleurisy and that we should just give him ibuprofen. The pain continued for 9 months and we returned when the pain spread to his back and neck. They did a scan on his lower intestines and checked for ulcers ignoring his symptoms and checked a completely different part of his body. We were told he is fine and they recommended we go to a gastro-specialist even though the pain is in his chest and neck.

The doctor ignored everything we said and the tests that we were charged for did not tell us anything. The billing department is the worst. We tried setting up a billing cycle we could afford and were completely ignored. They are not willing to work with what we can afford at all. We will not be able to afford going back to this and pray that the issue clears itself up.

We cannot afford the payments they offer and were told we would be sent to collections. If you are sick and need help do not visit this hospital. You will not be able to afford them and they will not help you with what is wrong.

Went to Emergency Room for chest pains. Admitted for further testing. Could only have ice chips and NO IV. I ask about it but still did not receive one. Early morning my blood pressure dropped to 60/40 and was severely dehydrated. Nurse call doctor about blood pressure. I heard her say, " yes she is still responsive". They carried me to ICU. Blood levels showed liver enzymes were extremely high.

I was septic. They could not figure out what was wrong. I saw at least 6 doctors. Heart checked out okay. Kidney function was low. (Already had stage 3 kidney disease ) ICU staff was great! Finally put back into a regular room. Just like everywhere else you have both good and poor workers, but over all they took care of me! I am still getting blood work due to liver levels, but with GOD leading the hospital workers and doctors I was in good hands. Thank you GOD for being there!
