Please reopen the snack and gift shop.to the way it was "years ago" when they did a great business and their food was edible and appetizing. In the past few years, it has undeniably been mismanaged and the quality of food has been mediocre at best. It used to be a great little coffee/sandwich/gift shop that was enjoyed and appreciated by visitors, patients as well as hospital staff.

The hospital needs this amenity more than you may realize. Also, please get the token machines fixed or provide a change machine for the parking garage. Many people are not aware of the outdated $2.00 token dispenser and where do you get change for parking if there's not a gift shop? These are minor things that haven't been updated in years. You're going backwards instead of forward.

This is the worst hospital in Pennsylvania. If you are hurt and can talk tell the emt they might as well take you to a cemetery. I went here hurt they did 2 x-rays and within not even enough time to clean my cuts they sent me out the door I can barely move from my back and wasn't asking for even an aspirin. I could have had internal bleeding but they would have never known cause all the doctor did was listen toe breathe twice and said I wa fine. DEATH VALLEY suits their name

I hope people see this review before going to this hospital. My mother needed emergency treatment. We have been sitting in the ER for over 3 hours. The waiting room is covered in stains all over the floor and furniture. The security guard even warned against sitting on the furniture he said "it's filthy and covered in urine" The lady at the front desk said "sorry we have no staff to see you and no clean rooms or beds" Needless to say we are going to a different hospital. I have never had an experience like this before in my life. What a dump.

If there was an option for zero stars I would give it to them. regardless of mask mandate patient and staff improperly wearing masks. hospital not tidy dead bugs on floor and the hospital seems like it's a million years old.after waiting for 1.5 hours was told only 1 Dr on staff for 20+ patient.notified my daughter would be next but no timeframe for actual visit could be determined.we left with my daughter still in distress. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.got to Pittsburgh children's hospital. called my insurance to be sure they weren't paid.they did NOTHING

My coworker came in from tripping, basically treated him like a homeless man. What if he was? Treat everybody equally. He wasn't even checked for a concussion while he has a giant notch on his head. Who knows what's going to happen to him now. if only they did their job the first time. Didn't even clean the blood off his face. Same with in 2018 they didn't even ice my grandmother who had a heart attack.

One small mistake cost her life. I've never heard of anyone with a good experience here. I never leave bad reviews either, but I wanted to warn others. I get it they're busy, but you don't have to treat people like they're rodents. Don't work in the field if you can't do it.

The nurses and doctors I dealt with were ALL amazing. They were Always there when I called. The only issue was the length in emergency room waiting for a bed. I have to give 4.5 to 5 stars.

Had an elderly relative get admitted after testing positive for SARS-CoV 2 a few days after receiving her first Pfizer shot. She was told by her nurses that she got COVID from the vaccine. Now she's deathly scare of getting her remaining shots. With this sort of medial advice I would rather go elsewhere.

I am being 100% honest when I say I've never been to a worse hospital, Right off the bat the nurse was very rude told me I have bronchitis So right off the bat they assumed COVID 19. I went to med express first and they told me over a 2 hour wait so I went to mon valley. The nurse asked me if I let my family doctor know about my symptoms I told her I don't currently have one that's why I'm here and she told me "you need to get one when you leave here so you don't come in here risking others safety"!

They told my husband he could come in after I got my test results back and then when it was negative for COVID they still would not let him back until 5 minutes before they let me leave! Very unprofessional staff I called for my nurse to let my husband back she said she would see and never got back to me.they could care less about you.! I've never felt so unsafe in a hospital I pray no one has to feel the way I did today.

On top of it they sent my prescription to a completely different place! So now I have to wait until tomorrow to get my medicine. HORRIBLE HOSPITAL everytime I go they are rude do not come here

Walked in with allergy symptoms that were getting serious. Swollen throat, difficulty breathing, wheezing, and running nose. Woman at the front desk of the emergency room was nice. Unfortunately waited at least 45 minutes and never saw a nurse even after inquiring twice. When my symptoms subsided enough to leave, we did and I took my chances driving to a better hospital. I'd rather do that than die in their waiting room. Literally wouldn't go here if my life depended on it.

I have been to many Hospitals in my 70 years. This by far has truly been my choice for number 1. I recently needed to admitted for kidney stones an infection. I was truly treated with super loving and caring concern. I highly praise the staff who work there. You are the very best.
