Services
To better understand how refractive surgery may help correct your vision reducing and/or eliminating your need for glasses or contact lenses, let's take a look at how the eye works. In order to see properly light rays must pass through different focusing eye structures. The light rays first pass through the cornea or clear window on the surface of the eye.
Myopia or Nearsightedness is a condition when the distance between the cornea and the retina is too long or the actual shape of the cornea or clear window of the eye is too steep. This causes light images to focus in front of the retina, causing blurry vision in the distance. The eye functions by focusing images i.e. the stop sign on the left in the picture.
Presbyopia is a normal aging condition in the eye where the lens located inside the eye loses its ability to accommodate or change focus from the distance to close up. Presbyopia typically begins between the ages of 40 and 50 years old and is the reason people need reading glasses for small or fine print.
In order to determine if you are a candidate, we invite you to visit us for a complimentary laser vision correction consultation. You will meet with a LASIK counselor and either Dr. Moretsky or Dr. Cassidy. At this consultation our staff will conduct some standard pre-op screening tests including corneal topography, corneal thickness, pupil size and computerized iDesign System wave scan to determine which procedure will best suit your needs. The next step will be an informed consent session and dilated eye exam with complete measurements.

My mom had cataract surgery with this company. She went the following day for a check up and was told that she would have to go back in the next day to have surgery again as there was still part of the cataract in her eye. She was to have her other eye done two weeks later so she went to do the eye exam the Thursday before the surgery and they told her they would call her Friday with the appointment time.

Of course they never called and on Monday the Eye Institute called and told her she had missed her appointment. She told them no one had called with the time of the appointment. The Eye Institute told her they would contact the doctor and get back to her, that was on 2/24/22 and no one has gotten back to her.

Dr Cassidy performed cataract surgery for me & I am very happy with the result. The office was well organized & I had short wait times for my appointments. Staff was friendly & professional.

Office staff incredibly rude and looked miserble doing their job. Never spoke to me and when I spoke with them they could barely move their mouth. Honestly never been in an office that looked so depressed and miserable. WILL NOT BE BACK!

Very professional, thorough exam, and clear explanation of options for Lasik. There was no trying to talk you into a procedure you might not benefit from. I appreciated that I was sent out with a contact lens to simulate the proposed correction to see if it would work for me. After trialing that, I decided not to proceed at this time. Would definitely recommend!

Unacceptable wait times. Double booking is not good clinical practice. I shouldn't have to wait an hour for a 10 min exam. Billing must be their mission not patient satisfaction. Not thrilled. No explanation, No apology. Terrible service

Best eye doctor ever. Is always available when I need help. Both cataract surgeries were perfect.

My mother had surgery on her eye and had her first appointment at the Indian school location while we were waiting in one of the rooms several employees came into the room and took things out of cabinets which I thought that was a bit rude. The day after the surgery she wasn't feeling well and I called the after hours number and they said they would page the Dr.

A couple of minutes later the Dr. Called me and I explained to him that my mother had been trowing up & feeling dizzy & he asked what surgery she had. I told him that I wasn't sure what she had, I asked him if he knew and the dr. responded with "I dont know you tell me" i thought that was extreamly rude. he's the Dr. For a reason. He saw my mother before the surgery and he knows what was performed the day of the surgery.

He then changes our follow up appointment for an earlier time at the Thunderbird location. When we arrived they lady's at the desk told us that we were at the wrong location that we had it at the Indian school. So apparently no one ever changed our appointment on the system. I told them that the Dr. Had changed our appointment for an earlier time at the Thunderbird location.

The lady's seemed annoyed by my responss and made a comment stating "your going to see the same Dr. Why didnt you just kept the appoint for the later time." Over all the employee aren't friendly and dont seem Happy with their job. If they dont like interacting with others maybe find a different career.

I had an emergency post procedure complication where I contacted the on call doctor for immediate assistance. He was unable to leave his church services to attend to my issue. As a result when I was finally seen I couldn't even see the big A on the eye chart. There was no inquiry into what went wrong or how to avoid similar issues for future clients.
