It is almost impossible to get in touch with the front desk. I've been a patient here for about a year now and I can count on one hand how many times they have answered my calls. They will not send out any reminders for your appointments and won't hesitate to bill you for it if you've missed. I love my psychiatrist, but it almost isn't worth it.

Do not, I repeat do NOT see anyone at this practice if you take your mental health seriously. I have been billed repeatedly for appointments that I have already paid for, not to mention I left a voicemail for my therapist with all my information because I was having a mental health emergency. She responded back by asking who I saw as a therapist and if my wife was with me to help.

I have no wife. My own therapist didn't even know she saw me as a patient. Absolutely horrible. Will not be going back. Will be canceling all future appointments. Most importantly, will NOT be paying whatever you claim that I owe. I have bank statements to prove it.

My partner had an appointment at 1:30 pm, he arrived at that time and stood at the window for 10 minutes while the people ignored him, until they opened the glass and told him they were on their lunch break and would help him shortly. I was sitting in the lobby, as I didn't want to take up space in the office, and a man kept walking down the halls looking at me. Turns out, for the 40 minutes I was sitting there and my partner was inside, the man who was looking at me, was his doctor, who was checking the outside lobby, since he HADN'T BEEN INFORMED that his actual patient was just inside waiting for him.

They never came back from lunch. The doctor ended up coming to ask about the appointment, and seeing him sitting there took him by surprise. The staff are so incompetent that they couldn't even think to themselves in their selfish brains that hey, maybe we should notify the doctor which takes two seconds instead of scarfing down my 4 meatball subs and 7 diet cokes.

The most recent time my partner had driven an hour (as they do every time.) just to be told that the doctor he was seeing wasn't even in that day which cost two days at work considering they have to take every day they go off. The staff here are absolutely inconceivably mentally diminished if they think that it is appropriate to inform patients on their arrival of the circumstances, rather than USE ONE OF THE MANY FORMS OF CONTACT THAT WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO US TODAY, to inform the patients of a wasted trip, especially with the gas prices right now.

As an establishment that is meant to help people, it doesn't seem like the office staff you hire, really care about the well-being of their patients. You hired a clown to keep a professional atmosphere. Only positive is that the couches in the lobby are comfortable, and probably came from overcharging insurance.

Quality of care has gotten significantly worse since 2019. I had a really good psychiatrist but she went to a different part of the practice, so I went to a new one and he didn't seem to care about me. I have since followed my original psychiatrist to the Homewood office. Additionally I keep getting billed for appointments I attended as if I had missed them, and often get the same bill several times after fighting collections over it.

The latest bill I've gotten was an appointment I attended via telemedicine and the only proof I had that I went was that a prescription was filled almost 2 weeks after the appointment because I was told the prescription would be mailed to me and they weren't, so I had to go to the office in person and have them fill out a second set.

I have been going to Dr. Khan since 2019 off and on. I was never told he wouldn't accept me because of chronic pain. I did really really like Dr. Khan and remain hopeful we can work things out and it was a misunderstanding, however I have been treated so badly by the staff. I was actually told by the person I spoke to that she had "heard" about me.

If that isn't a cause for concern I don't know what is because that violates so much with just that. I've been both lucky and unlucky to grow up in the medical field. I was given strong meds at an early age. I received a very very short letter from the office of Dr. khan saying he no longer wanted me as a patient any longer? I was not only confused, but embarrassed as I am not a rule breaker.

I only take medications prescribed to me. He was planning on leaving me with a short amount of medication when I have seizures and the medication he was no longer going to give causes seizures as withdrawal symptoms I called after receiving the letter and said I would get a call back and never got one. I then called back and was told no doctor would leave a patient without medication and either Khan or the doctor I was going to see (I made an appt with someone else bc I didn't know what to do) unfortunately he couldn't see me til march and my last meds ran out 29th of January.

I still have no answers and it is a Friday. I was basically laughed at. She told me there was no way I would get my medicines and no to mention I have COVID-19! So I guess if something happens I'll be going to an ER? Besides this lack of professionalism I did enjoy Dr. Khan and hope we can fix things. If not the only other option I have is to get counsel and that's honestly not what I want.

Stayed on hold once for 20 min., no answer. Today tried again only to wait 15 min. To be told they dont take medicaid. When it clearly says they do. Then i asked how much it would be to just pay out of pocket and they said they couldnt do that?!

The doctor is great. He took time to listen to me and make the adjustments needed. However two of the medications they prescribe me need prior authorizations in order to be filled and that's where the disappointment comes in. I have been waiting all week for the office to even send paperwork to my insurance carrier the problem is you can't never talk to anybody in the office you get a call center and they are likely not to forward any of your information or messages my Pharmacy and I both have tried several times to get through and can't

This place is a sham, they do not answer phones, no ability to access records per the LAW. Combative personnel, no one is accountable, no management staff and when they say they will do something, its a lie. 100% Feel free to ask follow ups. WOULD NOT recommend, the do not follow the HIPPA Laws that protect patients in your information. 4 months of waiting for them to transfer records. All they do is lie and send you to a dead or full voice mail box. Complete Avoidance of their Lawful Requirements.

Karen Callahan, M.D, is the most rude and inconsiderate and unconcerning. Not even the first appointment was right with her. she kept telling, "I am not going to remember what you saying " then continued to ask about my voice, I am. I don't believe I made an appointment with my primary. The vibe was all the way off and I need a place to feel comfortable and work on my issues, not pick up issues from the one who are supposed to be helping.

I urge you all to steer clear of Simon McClure. If you are anything like me and suffer from anxiety and depression, he will only make it worse. He completely lacks compassion and refuses to acknowledge concerns regarding mental health. When feeling uncomfortable or that his medical opinion has been challenged, he resorts to belittling. I have never worked with someone that was so narcissistic, egotistical, and overall rude!

He places high priority on getting patients in and out of his office faster than one can exhale and then bills for the entire hour block. In the two sessions I have had with Simon McClure, I have left feeling worse than I did coming in. He laughed off my concerns about very addictive medications and did not offer solutions. Also, he told me to adjust medication and wrote the prescription stating the opposite of what was vocalized.

This person has no business having access to any medication involving a person's mental health recovery. If the fact that he ignored my concerns and then scoffed at a second opinion isn't enough, he made rude comments about my weight and choice of clothing. If you are seeking help, Simon McClure is not the person you should turn to. Find a doctor that cares more about helping you than what is in your wallet. The additional suffering he has created is not worth it and I hope he does not get the chance to derail another person's life and recovery like he has done to me.
