Commercial insurance uses deceptive advertising and denies preventive care claiming it's diagnostic in order to refuse to pay for lab tests intended solely for screening and prevention. They also try to avoid paying for medications listed as covered using "quantity limits", so when you opt for the insurance and check a medication, it says it's covered but they later claim only a certain number are covered (for example, 15 per month of medications intended for daily use) and refuse to cover it at all. Be forewarned and don't buy this insurance if you have any other options. It's the absolute worst.

No after hours call line no one to call for emergency like ex being in a car fire on a trip lost all needs they won't cover half the meds but my friends ins. did. switch to united healthcare if you can cause when u have a urgent question or problem there nothing short of useless!

Disgraceful excuse for an insurance company. I spent three and a half hours on the phone with a representative who had no idea what she was talking about, painstakingly explaining and documenting the details of my self-employed income to her, while their system kept crashing every 20 minutes or so, and she insisted she understood and had the information down accurately.

Come to find out months later, they had terminated our insurance with zero communication or notice because the details their representative put in "didn't add up." I'm self-employed and run a business reselling things online and she had us written down as LANDLORDS. Under no circumstance have I ever owned a rental property to anyone and this was never in any of the forms I filled out online.

Their representative did not know how to put in self-employment income despite claiming repeatedly that she did, and best case scenario she "winged it" to get off the phone. Worst case she lied and misrepresented the information for reasons I can't even guess. Multiple bills including a major ER hospital bill went to collections, which is the only reason we even found out we didn't have insurance during this time, and HealthSource assured us it was their fault and reinstated the insurance retroactively, saying everything would be taken care of.

Nearly a year later they still won't pay for bills accumulated during the time they wrongly retroactively cut off our insurance. This is the worst experience I have ever had with an insurance company.

Terrible customer service. Treats health care as a for profit game. Rhode Island deserves better.

6 months of waiting for my membership info.still hasn't been processed. Called about 100 times over the last 6 months and they keep brushing me off and telling me it will be handled in 48 hours. At 8 months pregnant with no insurance information, even though they keep telling me that I am eligible, is absolutely ridiculous and no one should have to go through this. WORST COMPANY EVER! Save yourself the aggrevation and don't deal with them!

This has to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced from an insurance company. I must have called 5 times. Each time I was told that I was calling the wrong department and needed to be transferred. EVERY SINGLE TIME, I was on hold for so long and then each time the call was disconnected. So I have given up. Seems like no one wants to do any work over there.

I kept getting passed over to the next department. Pharmacy said I need medical management, medical management said I need pharmacy.you get the idea. I will never call them back for anything ever again. If they want information from me, then they can call me! Horrible, unprofessional, and disappointing!

This insurance company is a joke. When I signed up initially I was paying $30.00 a week for my plan, suddenly and without warning it jumped to over $50.00 a week. I had to recently pay a $60.00 copay to see a doctor, and it was at the receptionists desk that I was informed my plan changed to $60.00 copays. A really great time to let me know about that change.

And the frosting on the cake was when CVS called me to say the insurance wouldn't cover the prescription my doctor wrote for me, saying they, NHPRI, deemed it unnecessary. Guess the shareholders would rather have us peons suffer than get the basic medical necessities we need. I mean, if they allow me to get the medicine I need then they have to go to the Bahamas and not Bora Bora this year.

The female I spoke with was very professional, kind, and the call lasted about 10 minutes. I had just been on the phone with Health Source R I. and it was the complete opposite. Problems/questions unresolved. Anyway, this female did a fantastic job. I was in the mindset of spending another hour on the phone, dealing with another ignorant person. So I had to write this review in hopes her manager will see because, to my surprise, I received perfect customer service. She provided me with a reference number (11749388). Thank you

Had a really bad experience with one of the managers named GARY CHAVEZ. He was extremely rude and obnoxious. I do not recommend speaking to him if you need to speak with a manager. He is very unprofessional and did not seem to care what I was speaking with him about. Gary Chavez needs to be let go from this job if he does not understand customer service.
