The kidneys produce a hormone called erythropoieten to help stimulate red blood cell production. The kidneys help keep your bones healthy by maintaining normal levels of certain chemicals in your blood. It is recommended that you see a kidney doctor (Nephrologist) if your glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is less than 45 or less than 60 if you have protein in your urine.

Terrible place to work and get treatment. Trish does not deserve her job. From these reviews that say her name, it is apparent that I'm not the only one who feels this way!

After going on 2 years at this place, they have rescheduled my appt 4 times (always several MONTHS out), and I've had multiple doctors. They've told me I have stage 3 Kidney disease, and provided no plan, have given no advice, and have taken A LOT of tests. But I know very little about my condition because the doctor is in and out. No initial education, no meaningful information given to me.

The total amount of time I've actually been in the presence of any doctor at this facility has been less than 15 minutes. The nurse literally had to review my MRI results with the doctor AS HE WAS ON THE GOLF COURSE (You cannot make this stuff up), and told me over the phone, without the doctor, that it was good news that they didn't find anything wrong with me (the goal was to find a reason for my condition).

Today I went in to request my complete records. I indeed had a chip on my shoulder, and Tricia was more than quick to match it, and then some. Super unprofessional and approaching a street brawl type of attitude. Very scary for an office manager and billing girl. I am happy to say that I'm better off without any doctor at all than I am in that facility. Give your money to charity and do some good before you give it to this scam.

Just 1 week since I had my appointment with her and my urine has stopped the excessive foaming and terrible smell. She is an outstanding physician considering she interned at Michigan State University. I graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, so there is no higher praise, I can give her. She knows her stuff. Nephrologist with a heart, I will think of her fondly as I retire in Mexico. Hopefully my kidney failure will reverse from stage 3B and someday I can go back to eating meat, salt, sugar, and all the other wrong things she stopped.

And tequila, well I guarantee you, she will never approve of that. Who would have known: You stop eating meat and salt, drink lots of water flavored by lemon and limes, and your urine not only stops foaming and smelling bad, but it starts flowing again from your kidney. I am now urinating more in one day than I was urinating in a full week, just a week ago.

Not only is the output more often but also much longer. Output of urine is actually catching up with input of water. A miracle! A pure and simple miracle from a girl who interned at Michigan State University. My U of M brothers will disown me for my praise of Dr. Sunio MD, but she earned my highest praise. PROOF POSITIVE! I am traveling to Tucson, Arizona by Greyhound bus; and I was unable to maintain Dr. Sunio's strick diet of "all vegetables and fruits, lots of water", result, my kidney is not functioning properly. Output way down, color lighter, I can not report on foamyness or smell, bus potapotty with blue chemicals: but results of protein on kidney is confirmed; my kidney cannot process proteins at all. I will make sure the VA Hospital knows that she is correct on her diagnosis and treatment.

Zero Star - Very rude and unprofessional. Since the pandemic I have been using virtual appointments through Cigna MDlive, and have loved until speaking with Dr Nana Korsah today. She was argumentative, rude and did not care about me one bit, she hung up in my face. I have reported her to Cigna and hope no one ever experiences an encounter as this. Stay away from this doctor!

Medical staff friendly and knows how to keep the patients moving. I discovered they offer transportation from and back to my fathers rehab facility.
