Services
North Arkansas Regional Medical Center is an innovative, non-profit healthcare system consisting of a central hospital in Harrison, Arkansas, and 13 clinics serving the rural communities of North Arkansas. More than 850 NARMC employees, including 32 physicians, physician assistants and APRNs, work together to provide a comprehensive range of healthcare services.
While we are not able to have all of our events this year, feel free to check out our past event pages here. We hope to have them back again in the future. North Arkansas Medical Foundation was created in 1996 as the fundraising branch of North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC). As a 501(C) 3 nonprofit organization, the Foundation is committed to providing financial support to NARMC. Even though we live in a small, rural community, we strive each and every day to provide the best of care close to home.
In the coming months, the health systems will jointly open a new medical facility in Harrison so residents can continue to receive exceptional primary care while increasing access to specialists close to home. The facility will occupy the former Bear State Bank located at 1401 Hwy 65 North in Harrison, Arkansas.
Cardiac Rehabilitation is a monitored and supervised exercise program for all forms of cardiovascular diseases. Our modern facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art monitoring system which helps to watch the heart's reaction to exercise and allows staff to compare progress to previous visits. It is also equipped with new exercise equipment including treadmills, upper extremity ergometers, bikes, Nu-Steps, and Rex Recumbent elliptical trainers. Our RN's and LPN's carefully monitor patients' exercise programs and provide education about living with cardiac conditions.

I willingly came here after an S.I. attempt and please read those reviews before you make the mistake and come here: it's just as terrible and unhelpful as you read. Which is really unfortunate if you live here because medical care isn't taken seriously at the only hospital in this city. I was given paper thin scrubs that obviously tore. All my belongings taken.

I explained everything and answered honestly. I let them take all my vitals. And waited hours to be seen by my doctor. Only to be given paperwork to be transported to a psych ward, two and a half hours from where I live. And basically told it'd be better if I signed those papers. And of course it'd be at a ward with almost as terrible reviews as this hospital.

And I had to be transported by an ambulance to there, even though my husband could have taken me. If you're in emotional distress as I was, this hospital and their doctors and nurses won't take you seriously. You are treated less than, like a nuisance which is not how you should treat someone who had an S.I. attempt. If anything this hospital only increased my feelings of depression, and anxiety.

Terrible all around. Fake "professionals" that do not care about the patient in the slightest. They will ignore patients and issues, make up their own answers to questions in the patient's stead, and refuse to communicate anything to those they are supposed to help. One of the biggest reasons to not live in this area. The medical help you get will be a joke.

I have been there several times for test up until surgery and have always enjoyed excellent professional services. I can't say enough about the staff that I have encountered there, just excellents. From the people who meet you coming in, the billing people, the workers in the individual departments for various tests. There might be someone who didn't receive the same excellent care I have received, I would be surprised to hear that I can only report the great care I have received.

My wife was just in there for emergency room care and can't say enough about how good the staff treated her. We actually left another hospital E.R. to go to North Arkansas Regional Medical center. The other hospital wasn't treating her and the doctor there was down right rude, especially when we told them we were leaving to go to a better hospital.

Horrible horrible place. My father was misdiagnosed and died two days after visiting the E R. I have had to call 911 and they forced me to go here, I was misdiagnosed and it caused severe trauma. The clinics are horrible as well. Except Mediquick, they are awesome

If it is an emergency CALL 911, they will get you in a lot sooner. We waited 30 minutes with my sister in the waiting room and watched 3 people walk in in front of us. My sister, crying without breath and 3 healthy people walking into the doctors room in front of us. What a joke. You'd die waiting for the Dr before you get any help.

Went in for physical therapy. Amanda was my therapist. Seemed so nice & knowledgeable. Met with her twice weekly for a couple months for my hands, elbows & shoulder. Physical therapy on my hand was massage & electrical stimulation. It was painful & had minimal relief. My elbow was not part of the therapy. Surprisingly my final day she said my wrist had normal functioning. Mmmm.

Who knew I was so healed when it definitely didn't feel that way to me with such limited mobility. Next I did physical therapy for my shoulder which was extremely painful. She put my arms through various range of passive motion exercises. My arm hurt worse then before I started training. My final day she pushed my passive range of motion so extreme when she was finished, I couldn't move my arm!

I could barely walk out of there because I was in such pain. I couldn't move my arm for two days. Called to let the therapist know & asked what to do--nothing. I eventually spoke to her supervisor. Besides information, nothing was solved. Amanda never asked my pain level which I found out she was required to do. She never took into consideration my pain when I told her how bad it was.

She passively pushed my arm past its limits though I was exclaiming in pain. When she asked me to manually raise my arm, I could barely lift it so she pushed it to go higher then I could do on my own, which was quite painful. The final report was falsely completed. I sent a complaint which went unanswered. Do not recommend!

Went in to the E.R. with chest discomfort, pounding heart beat, shortness of breath, numbness in extremities and weakness and waited for hours to be seen. Finally, I decided to leave thinking I would be blown of by the doctor since all symptoms had eventually passed. What's even worse is an elderly gentleman was also waiting to be seen while having pain in his chest and arm. You would be better off going anywhere else because I fear you may die waiting if your condition is serious.

Waited for over seven hours and never received any treatment.several patients with less problems treated even though I was there before.to think u would sit there and wait an entire working shift, and still not be treated is beyond appaling to me.what a joke of an emergency room. TOTALLY INCOMPETENT. HOPE I NEVER HAVE TO GO THERE AGAIN.

Patient goes in can't walk on foot after falling over a baby gate. 1st stop the bill collector (front desk) then go sit it front lobby, next was told to walk to x ray to have x-rays taken of foot and knee, still have NOT seen a DR ( we all know is just a figurehead), PA, CNA, LPN, or RN so I have no idea who ordered the x-rays after walking to x-rays and walking back to lobby they eventually call her back to ER so the sorry excuse for a PA comes in and says I don't see any obvious breaks but show me where it hurts, she points it out and PA does this finger walk like the itsy bitsy spider up her leg and says now that I know where it hurts ill go look closer at the x-rays I'll be back.

Never comes back a nurse comes in with more papers to sign for insurance so they can get paid, discharge slip and an acebandage which was put on so tight that her toes were purple, tells her to take a Tylenol and she is all set to go!. we are going to the Orthopedic today so they can decide what to do with her foot which was clearly misdiagnosed and injured further by having to walk on it all the down to x-rays and back.

Yes I did report it to the hospital and asked at best why wasn't she given a boot until we could get her to a real dr or Orthopedic.the answer was it wasn't warrented but you can go buy one at walgreens if it makes you feel better. what a joke I promise you haven't heard the last of me!
