Dr. Louis Sloan joined North Texas Infectious Diseases Consultants in 1994 and unfortunately left us when he lost his battle with lymphoma in 2017. He became a partner in the practice in 2000 and the sole owner in 2007 when he implemented all the changes that have occurred over the years.
Infectious diseases are illnesses caused by microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi. All of our physicians are highly trained specialists in diagnosing and treating these infections. They spend two years of sub-specialty fellowship training after their Internal Medicine residency to become specialized in Infectious Diseases Medicine.

I've met with Dr. Golden on a number of occasions. He has always started with a smile and "how are you feeling"! I look forward to seeing him and being able to talk to him (even though I speak over him mostly lol) I just wanted to give a huge thank you on how genuinely cared for you make me feel, Like I'm the only patient you have to oversee! BLESS YOU, Kaylee M

I have been a patient of Dr. Golden let me tell you this office, staff, nurses and the Dr. himself took the best care of me after I was diagnosed with a serious infection. I will always refer back to this office when needed.

By far of the worst specialty practices of its kind I've yet to experience. As a 3rd time patient, I've only stayed with them this long < 1 year because they are of a collective group 'supposedly' on the cutting edge of research and practice in its field as backed by the North Texas Infusion Center. However, big names don't necessarily make for good practices, and that is certainly the case for North Texas Disease Consultants.

Three strikes, and you're out so this was certainly the last time I visit this facility or its sister office in North Park on 9301 N Central Expressway #310, Dallas, TX 75231. Under the supervision of practictioner Erin M. Duhaime, I followed up due to medical concerns and on my on reconnaissance, initiated a full panel test. Before the results of the test, she gave me medication. However, the medication was only necessary should I have been in serious health condition, which the test showed.

Here is the major part: after the results of the test(returned in less then 72 hours), she did not communicate to me in any form(phone or secure message) that the test results did NOT indicate I had any health concerns that warranted my taking the medication. NOT knowing this vital piece of information and NOT having been communicated to me, I continued to take her prescribed medication anyways to my detriment. She(Erin Duhaime) later requested that I come in again in July 22, 2019 only to "lecture and remind" me of the purpose and overall ethics of their practice. Initially, the appointment requested by Erin for me to come in was for urgent purposes related to my immediate health.

However this was not the case when I found out from their non-medical practitioner or 'director of the group and coordinator'. Mind you, I left work for this so called "lecture appointment". To top it, my assigned practitioner of the North Texas Infectious Disease Consultants in Downtown Dallas was not present when I arrived. There's something called 15 minute grace, and I called ahead of time and during the 15 minute period that I was on my way up to their office only for their administration to re-assure me that my doctor was waiting and there was no need for concern since I not only confirmed my appointment online the business day ahead but also was in twice contact with her on the phone before entering the office to check-in. Then, it became a game of semantics.

The same front office administrative employee claimed my arriving 18 minutes late instead of 15 minutes late so its their policy to cancel the appointment. Again, I must stress that I was in constant communication that I was running a few minutes late, and that the Baylor Medical Complex in Downtown Dallas is complex to say the least in terms of its organization and parking structure. Nevertheless, North Texas Diseases Consultants has 5 other medically licensed practitioners in the same specialty of whom several I saw present.

I pressed, verbally that since I'm already here in the office and drove an hour and took off work that I should just be able to see one of their other practitioners when time lets up. They all work as a group, a team and my practitioner has notes or should have notes and records on me so that in the case of an urgent matter, another practitioner can take over in her absence. However, according to the director, "this is NOW how things work".

Despite other practitioners available, she said further that I am assigned to Erin Duhaime and therefore could only see her despite all their members being part of the same group and accepting the same insurance. The services coordinator and director spoke to me individually, and that's when I learned that I had no health issues that warranted their request for me to come in ASAP, and that the test results which she printed out and gave to me yielded nothing reactive. Overall, the group was a waste of time, effort and energy & it is with upmost regret that I went with the North Texas Disease Consultants.

Misty and Erin are the best. I feel as though I am with friends when I come in for my checkups. I am always treated as a human and not just a stat or program number. I highly recommend this team at NTIDC if you are in the need for great people who take great care of you!

As a long time paraplegic and frequent UTI patient the "business" of healthcare can be frustrating. The doctors and staff of the Worth St location (and I am sure North Park as well) make every request and visit into a collaborative effort between them and me. Our goal is my best outcome and I consider many of them friends and all of them "the best of the best".

The Dr staff is absolutely world class. I have had three different doctors here and each of them are incredibly kind and take the time to break down your treatment and explain what's going on to make sure they answer all of your questions. the nurses are equally as caring and knowledgeable.

North Texas Infectious Disease Consultants is the premier HIV/AIDS facility in the Notth Texas. The doctors and staff utilize cutting edge medical diagnostic equipment and procedures. I was not in good shape when I first visited and suffered from debilitating fatigue. North Texas Infectious Disease Consultants had my energy back in two weeks. I am highly impressed with their clinical trials research department which allows you to help make improvements in existing drugs and create better ones with few or no side effects. The staff is very personable yet professional. They make you feel welcomed and loved and truly care about your health and well being. I would highly recommend them.
