The North Texas Lung & Sleep Clinic Sleep Lab is conveniently located in Southwest Fort Worth. Sleep studies are typically performed weekdays, Monday through Friday; however, special consideration is given to those in need of weekend appointments. Services provided are covered by most insurance companies. We are pleased to assist you in every case with insurance verification.
In a 24hour society, where folks tend to burn the candle at both ends, restorative sleep has become more whimsy than reality. No matter how common, consequences of continued sleep deprivation can be dire fatigue, impaired thinking, drowsy driving or even high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases and metabolic diseases such as diabetes & obesity.

Always professional and helpful. The Dr., PA, and nurses are kind and listen to any questions or concerns that I have.

At my initial appointment I met with an assistant, and have not ever met Dr. Ostransky at this point. The staff I did personally interact with at the office were pleasant. I set up an appointment for a sleep study, however a mere three days before the study was scheduled to happen I was left a message stating that my insurance was refusing to pay for it.

No other information was given. So I called them back, less than 20 minutes after they left that message. And again another 11 times through the rest of that week trying to reach someone to no avail. Finally I reached someone on the morning of the day my appointment was scheduled and it didn't matter because they couldn't tell me anything more useful than, they said they won't do it and we don't actually talk to the insurance, this was just their response. So I cancelled the appointment, and was planning on contacting my insurance company myself but at this point I'll just go to a different clinic to deal with it.

I met with Dr. O at my first appointment. Each appointment I've had following my initial, I have been seen by his Assistant. Every appointment has been a disaster. His Assistant answers my questions with "I don't know, " and doesn't make an attempt to find an answer. The front desk is extremely rude, and will talk over you if you mention errors in your bill. I am in the process of transferring to a more professional provider.

I've been going here for years. Dr. Ostranstky is nice and helpful. His PAs are super knowledgeable. They always answer the phone and take care of any meds or script issues I have. I never have to wait more than 10 mins to go back. I was so surprised to see the number so low for the clinic. Highly recommend.

I was checking this to confirm my appointment just now and was so surprised to see such low review numbers. I have been seeing Dr. O and his staff for many years. I have always had a very pleasant experience. The office staff are great. They always call me back, handle my prior authorizations in a timely manner, and call me back about my questions quickly. Like I'm really still so surprised because my experience has been nothing but the best. Edit. Completely forgot I left a review q long time ago.:-D

Dr. Ostransky seems to have a good understanding of my sleep problem but I got really frustrated with the nurse handling my prescription during my visit today. I asked her how long it will take to get my medications from the Walgreen pharmacy which is next door and she said about 15 mins. I said Ok and went there. The pharmacy told me that they haven't received the prescription after 30 mins!

I called the Dr. office but nobody picked up the phone! I decided to go there in person and was told to wait 5 mins to get the nurse. After 10 mins waiting, I was told that they simply had a computer error and haven't sent the prescription! Well, I said but your phone was working and asked why didn't you call me so I can get back to my work not waiting idle there?!She said it's not our responsibility or something like that. I reminded her that this is called "Customer service" which they know nothing. After one hour of waiting, I left their office without my medications.very disappointed.

Saw Dr O for about 5 minutes on Feb 4th. Completed the sleep test (at home with a fingertip sensor) and returned the equipment on Feb 15th. I have not heard back regarding the results. Called them twice but no one has been able to help ("the doctor will review the results and contact you"). They didn't mind sending me a bill. Not sure for what. I guess it's for the inconvenience I caused them by showing up and/or calling. It's certainly not for any effort they tried to put into my diagnosis. Tried to put this in an email directly to them but their website isn't working correctly.

The desk people at this office lack patience (but they certainly have enough rudeness). Specifically, a woman named "Laurie" was rude and a bit obnoxious. She tended to cut me off and became upset when I called her on it. She then accused me of getting mad, certainly as a pretext to hanging up on me. Yes, she hung up on me, even though I pressed my rights as a patient.

All I wanted was for my test results to be released to my other doctor, but Laurie said I could not get them unless I made an appointment. It boggles my mind to think that a patient cannot get access to his/her sleep test results without having to take time off work and pay for an unnecessary appointment.

[*& to address the 1 star rating, Dr O was out for surgery, that's why he couldn't see anyone. The wait list is so long because he's the best in Fort Worth.] For 20+ years I was ignored, and misdiagnosed- literally, for *27* years. My first appointment with Dr. Ostransky he actually listened to me, which is incredibly rare for dictors in my experience.

At first he said Narcolepsy & ordered a sleep study. Come to find out it was hypersomnia; which is a lot like narcolepsy. Even though just meeting me & after listening to me for less than 30min he had practicly figured it out! * not to mention i had my potty training (super active) 2 year old with me, who had an accident in the room & they were so understanding! Dr Onstranksy did more for me than any doctor I've ever met in my life.

And his staff worked with another sleep clinic, in another state, to get my results from a previous sleep study to prove to my insurance I needed a 2 day study with them -& saved me OVER $500. And then went to batfle with my insurace again to find a prescription that would be covered. The staff there is amazing. I got my life back thanks to all of them.
