Atrial Fibrillation, also known as A-Fib is an irregular, often rapid heart rate that commonly causes poor blood flow. We offer comprehensive management of all your vein problems in addition to your heart and blood vessel health (PAD). During this time, our phone lines will continue to be open for medication refills, urgent questions and telehealth appointment scheduling during our normal business hours of 8 AM to 4 PM (Monday to Friday). We are still performing critical cardiac testing as deemed necessary by the physicians and we will be screening all patients prior to entry into the medical office building.
Services
Our physicians cover the broad spectrum of the ever-evolving practice of adult cardiology. In this specialty, there are even more sub-specialties at which our physicians excel. A strong knowledge of both are necessary in providing comprehensive cardiac care. For each heart-related concern, two factors are considered: (1) Are the arteries open so the heart can get the blood it needs? If "plumbing" is the problem, then the main concern is to open the vessels that supply the heart with good blood flow.
Our Main Office is on the third floor of the Northpointe Medical Plaza, which is located halfway between Beaumont Hospital and the I-696 freeway on the southwest corner of the Woodward and Catalpa (11 1/2 Mile Road) intersection in Berkley. The building is easily identified, and there is ample parking in the rear.
The diagnostic testing page will include links to our various test descriptions as well as the necessary instructions for each test. At Northpointe Heart Center, our physicians and fully trained clinical staff ascribe to the highest standards of cardiac testing. All nuclear stress testing and vein clinic procedures cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled appointment time are subject to $100 cancellation fee.
You may have water or juice before your stress test, but you should abstain from solid foods for at least one (1) hour prior to test. If you are a diabetic, please follow your normal daily diet regimen. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes for your stress test. Slacks or shorts are preferred and shoes should be appropriate for brisk exercise on a treadmill or a bicycle. Our exercise specialist will then place several electrodes on your skin so that your heart rate and rhythm can be watched throughout the test.

I went to see the Dr. Ahmed a couple of years ago as a routine check up. It went very well. I recommended him to a family in March. This family member saw the doctor only once. Everything is done through a Physician Assistant. Even a recent appointment to discuss testing results. We will not be see him again. He is paid to take care of his patients, not to rely on a PA to report important medical tests and to make important medical decisions.

I do not recommend this place. I had a heart cath thru my wrist at Beaumont Royal Oak with a surgeon at this practice. It was an unnecessary procedure that lead to permanent blockage in my radial artery. I also have extensive nerve damage, that will take months or years to heal. The trauma is to my right wrist, which is my dominant hand. They acted like it was no big deal, and told me there are no nerves in that area, my bones are very small, and that is why this happened.which is false information according to three other professional opinions, and a lot of ultra sounds.

They never called to follow up with the damage they did, and their doctors were disagreeing with each other in my appointment, which took forever to get (I was in excruciating pain for 4 weeks). I may have permanent pain management because of their actions. And the worst part of it is they are not owning it.

I am writing my review based off the front desk experience which is very important. I would like to take a second to be sure to mention how absolutely kind and professional Angela is. I have been checked in by Angela many times and I am always so pleased because she goes out of her way to make your check in so warm and friendly. She is an excellent person to have as your first touchpoint at Northpointe.

I am doing a rating on the staff for this facility and not on the Cardiologist who I am very well satisfied. The reason I am giving this low rating because there was never a time that getting through appointments or requesting for a prescription sent to the right pharmacy has never been easy with the rude and unprofessional staff they have working.

Today I have to deal with a lady named Donna who called and sounded upset for a prescription getting sent over a pharmacy which it's THEM who made a mistake twice and sent to the wrong pharmacy, !i was very courteous to her while explaining but immediately cut me off and yelled! I would definitely make a complain the next time I have an appointment.

Recently had tests done to determine I was healthy enough to undergo back surgery. The technicians were outstanding in the manner they went through the different processes examining me. It was professionalism at its best. Special thanks to my cardiologist, Dr. Marsalese for ordering the extra tests. All my experience with Beaumont doctors and the medical staff has been outstanding and this would also include the non medical personnel.

The testing staff made my visit enjoyable and all worked as a team to ensure I met the requirements for the surgery. I underwent a cardio stress test one day, and returned for a cardio echo gram. I earlier had seen Dr. Marsalese who overseen my EKG and he also made me feel important as a patient and took those steps necessary to insure my wellbeing by ordering additional tests. All my visits to Beaumont Hospital and it's affiliates have been great.
