Poor service. Poor communication. I do not recommend and would recommend going to any place other than Nw urology. They are awful

Had one visit with Dr. Spettel, and will not be returning. She did not explain procedures before doing so and chose to do a painful procedure that would hurt on a good day, but chose to do so during a painful UTI I was having, so I left her office in even more pain. This procedure I didn't even agree to also is one her office bills at nearly a thousand dollars. Very unethical. I can see why this place has such terrible reviews and wish I had looked at those before going. I probably would have avoided it had I known.

Was referred to NW Urology by my primary care physician. The first time I called to schedule an appointment I left a message based on the assurance I would get a call back. After three days and no return call, I called a second time and waited on hold for 10 minutes before ending the call. I called the next day and waited on hold for 15 minutes before ending the call.

I waited a few days, called a third time, and waited on hold for just under an hour before ending the call. Following that experience I contacted my PCP and asked him for a referral to a different physician. His assistant tried to reach NW Urology on my behalf and was also unsuccessful, so I'm being referred elsewhere. All I can say is that if my employer treated our potential customers as badly as NW Urology treats theirs, then we'd be out of business. Addendum: I received a reply from the "owner" asking me to reach out to them for further assistance. They also provided me with their phone number, which is ironic since in my experience they don't answer their phone or return messages.

I dont get it. how can a place be so unwelcoming and rude. Have had 1 other place be this bad in 20 years of going to doctors as an adult. The strange thing is there is no need for it to be this way. a smile, politely requesting instead of ordering in demeaning way doesn't cost anything.

Weve been long time patients of dr shaffer, but we are no longer going to becoming to him after the way his front desk girl " victoria" but she probably gave me a fake name AFTER she rudely slammed the door on my elderly father, then decided to yell at him. She should not be in customer service. IM VERY disappointed in our visit today. my father cried in the room thinking he did something wrong.

Unfortunately all the negative reviews regarding communication and professionalism are true. The office staff literally will not answer the phone or call you back. Maybe they are short staffed but that's what temporary staffing agencies are for. They would be a great solution to actually have someone answer the phone when you call. Imagine needing to speak to the doctor after a procedure and waiting on hold multiple times in the same day for 30, 45, 50 minutes each time.

I had a 3:45 appointment with Dr. Bresee on a Friday. I'm a very punctual person who keeps a tight schedule and communicates well, I expect the same especially from doctors. I arrived on time for my appointment after fighting through Friday traffic to find out that Dr. Bresee decided to go home for the day! No phone call, email, or text to let me know. Dr. Bresee you should be embarrassed of your behavior and how you have allowed a medical office to degrade to this point. I would never in a million years allow someone from your office near me with a scalpel after this incident.

They should be more upfront with the fact that their vasectomy procedure is NOT scalpel or stitch free. All my friends had a great experience somewhere else and went to work the next day, here I am struggling to walk with a half inch incision and stitches on my balls. I was under the impression that all vasectomy's in 2021 were scalpel and stitch free, but I was very wrong.

Reception staff are clueless. Forever to answer calls and never get callbacks when you leave a message. Prescription refill requests not done in a timely manner. Great doc but I am shopping for a new urologist with a competent front office staff.

I had a bad experience. I went there to consult the doctor for two treatments/issues. 1) They should have told me the one of the treatments is not covered by the insurance. 2) They sent the bill to my insurance for the treatment which is not covered by the insurance. 3) Several calls to billing department to correct the issue. They said they corrected and resubmit, but they resubmit the same old one which I checked with my insurance. At the end I end up paying a huge bill just for an office visit. I am still paying off my credit card balance. :( Never going back.
