Services
We encourage healthy, age and situation appropriate discussion regarding reproductive and menstrual health. As women mature, we guide them in health maintenance with annual, well-women exams including pap smears, contraception and obstetrical care. For our patients who are moving beyond their reproductive years, we evolve into menopausal evaluation and management and maintenance of sexual health. Some of the gynecological procedures we offer in-office or out-patient surgery center include:.
Our obstetricians are dedicated to providing the best possible care for you and your baby. We provide comprehensive and compassionate pregnancy care from conception to delivery. While most of our patients experience uncomplicated and healthy pregnancies, some pregnancies develop complications or are "high risk" from the start.
Our surgeons at Ob/Gyn Associates are skilled in minimally invasive surgery and have been applying these techniques for decades. We strive to employ these surgical approaches when deemed appropriate and safe. In minimally invasive surgery, surgeons use a variety of techniques to operate with fewer incisions that result in less injury to the body than traditional open surgery.
Millions of women experience changes in their gynecologic health after menopause, but that doesn't mean you have to live with the uncomfortable side effects. Common symptoms such as vaginal dryness, itching, and urinary incontinence can cause women to feel embarrassed and affect their personal lives as well as their intimate relationships.
Menopause is a normal process but can be frustrating due to changes in menstruation, fertility, mood, sexual function and environmental comfort (hot flashes & night sweats). In addition, new health concerns arise about our bone and heart health. Because every woman experiences these changes differently, it is important that each woman be treated with an individualized treatment plan.

DO NOR GO HERE. Every time I come here there is something going ln. Either the nurses are telling you 5 days post psrtim that you will be s horrible mother or they will cancel, reschedule or they will schedule/ move your schedule without informing you. Please do not go here they don't care they want your money and that's it.i have never had such a horrible experience with a doctor office.if you care about your health don't go here.

I went with my fiance, and the nurse said you ( my fiance ) should not be uncomfortable with the vaginal ultrasound because we have had intercourse and mine was probably bigger. It felt super uncomfortable and unprofessional. Then I reached out to Jeff, he said he would call us back in a day or 2. A week went by before I had to call him 3 times before getting answers, I got told I would get my money back but honestly it was one of the absolute worst experiences I have had.

Everything from the terrible front desk staff. Incredibly rude, had a difficult time scheduling, finally got in after several calls and my Dr "pulling strings"." When my appt waited 40 mins in the lobby listening to reception make fun of and talk about how awful the patients are before walking out. Got called back in and Dr Allen was rude, unprofessional.

I asked why the staff wouldn't notify patients if she was running over an hour behind. I was told I should free up my day and expect to wait because shes busy. Then billing was a nightmare conference called with my insurance and got the run around. If you like over crowded offices, with too many patients to care about you. If you like to just feel like a number and get no personal experience while receiving care, then I recommend calling this office and getting emotionally abused by their staff while you wait for a Dr that will never even remember you. Probably the worst office I have ever been too.

Nurse sexualized my fiance right in front of me while informing us that we had lost our baby. She rushed my appointment and made me feel like it was abnormal for me to feel uncomfortable when it was my first ever visit for my first pregnancy that became my first miscarriage. Very unprofessional and insensitive for sure. We reached out and waiting for a response.

My experience with Dr. Randall Jack and his assistant was great! I waited for maybe 10-15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time which was no big deal to me and his staff was apologetic and nice. He really took the time to answer my questions and make me comfortable. Definitely happy with him and his staff and will return.

Since moving here in January, I've really enjoyed coming here. I was about 7 months pregnant when I moved here and incredibly nervous to be in a new city, finding new care, and planning for baby #2. Dr. Thompson was patient, kind, and very thorough with my care. I really appreciate understanding and having a doctor talk to me about every step and option and she went above and beyond. Would recommend highly!

Worst doctor's office ever! I haven't been in 7 years because my doctor switched practices. I called for an appointment today. I was transferred to billing because my insurance denied a claim 7 years ago! I paid the charge and was transferred back scheduling. They won't schedule me because I'm a new patient. If I still want an appointment in a couple of months I should try cashing back. Why so they can tell me I owe more money? Needless to say I won't be calling for an appointment.

If you want a group that actually cares about women's healthcare, skip this place. After seeing a physician here for many years, whom I real liked, I was left without a physician or notice of her departure from the practice. I decided to make an appointment for an annual exam with a new doctor. I called to schedule the appointment and asked if I could have my vaccinated, masked child with me, as I don't have child care.

I was told that was fine. I got to the appointment, checked in, began filling out paperwork when I was called to the front and told I had to reschedule because I could not have my child with me. This is a practice that I used to regularly take my other daughter to for my exams and through my second pregnancy with no issues. Not sure what has happened, but I am completely and utterly disappointed after waiting months for an appointment.

Waiting times are horrible. They never gave me my ultrasounds. I had a chat with my ob gyn (dr. Tippett) and was told that they couldn't find my lab results, hadn't looked at any previous medical records when i had given it to them a month in advance. I pretty much begged to get an ultrasound that day, finally got one, and never recieved my pictures. Dr gave exceptional service but the clinic itself is so chaotic and everything is so rushed. FYI for new mothers, you can't just walk up to any pharmacy and get a breast pump.

I was also told this and wasted so much time calling and going into numerous pharmacies just to be looked at like a crazy person. The low rating is mainly for the clinic itself, not the Dr.

As previously stated on Dr. Randall Jack survey - all staff encountered were sincerely caring, knowledgeable and professional. The office environment is comfortable and efficient. I will look forward to maintaining my annual appointments going forward with such a positive experience with Dr. Jack and the pleasant office staff/environment.

Dr. St Pierre is one of my favorite humans. And I don't even know her. I just know how she treats me as a patient, like she knows me and that she cares about me. When going through infertility issues, she was so very empathetic to my husband and I. She answered all questions we had, she ordered tests and ultrasounds to prepare me for the fertility doctor.

All that was back at the end of 2019/beginning of 2020. I sadly never had a baby but would have been lucky to have had her for prenatal care and labor and delivery. I stayed seeing her for my women's exams and saw her last week and even though it had been almost 2 years, she treated me like we had seen each other 2 months ago. I don't know how to explain it, She is just so sweet.

She makes you comfortable during uncomfortable times. I have had two separate medical assistants of hers, both awesome. Debbie has done two ultrasounds on me and she is also caring and explains everything she is doing. Other Staff is professional and nice (check in/check out) The loss of star is as many other reviews have said is the wait times can be realllllllllly long. It's worth it for me to see my doc, but it can be a frustrating experience for sure. You just have to be a little more understanding I guess since they are probably overworked, and have add ons and emergencies to deal with.

Prior to my move up to Reno, I had several OBGYN's who were quite reputable in the Bay Area. None could compare to Dr. Hald. She's fantastic!

Dr. Dekay has something very genuine about him, I felt like I could trust him right of the bat. He was patient and kind in answering all my questions and I never felt rushed or condescended, which is why I left my last OB. I finished the new patient paperwork and was seen less than 5 minutes later. I look forward to continue with Dr. Dekay and OBGYN associates as my OB.

This used to be an amazing practice with top notch care. When I had my second child, I noticed the care was not the same. Excessive wait times became standard practice and after my c-section I had a complication that was completely missed by the Nurse Practitioner, but thankfully addressed after 2 ER trips. Then my physician left and I was never notified.

When I called to schedule and annual exam, I was told I had to wait several months for the other physician's to have an opening in their schedule. Patient care has been sacrificed to grow the practice, unfortunately.

I can't speak about all the doctors here, only the one I saw who has helped to make my first pregnancy a most miserable experience. I am shuffled around from room to room by a number of random medical staff each visit. They ask if you have any questions but you better think fast because they already have one foot out the door at that point. God forbid there are any complications and you try and get a straight answer out of anyone.

Three different people gave me their medical opinion and suddenly I get a surprise voicemail from the doctor telling me my baby was high risk. It would have been nice to have someone clearly explain to me what was going on before it got to that point. This office is too busy and big to effectively manage medical treatment and at the same time treat patients with some respect. I've been a patient there for years and now will be taking my business elsewhere.

Dr. Tippett is wonderful! She made me feel very comfortable the moment she walked in the room! Made the whole process quick and easy. And even put in a referral to a chiropractor even though she is not technically my primary care physician. Definitely appreciated!

I had an appointment scheduled for over 2.5 months with a surgeon at Ob-Gyn Associates. When I scheduled, they took all of my insurance, etc. I waited the LONG 2.5 months, badly needing surgery, and the very day before my appointment, an office member called to cancel me, saying that they no longer take "new patients" with Medicare. Are you kidding?!

You wait until THE DAY BEFORE to cancel me, when I could have spent all of that time waiting to get in with a different surgeon?! SHAME ON THEM! Moreover, I read 2 other reviews on Google Reviews, stating the EXACT same thing! I should have noticed beforehand that they have truly crappy reviews. Perhaps I dodged a bullet by not having surgery with them, though it's physical torture to have to wait another 2-3 months to get in with a different surgeon. It is so incredibly sad that companies will not even admit when they are in the wrong! BEWARE OF OB-GYN ASSOCIATES-- they may very well screw your over!

I've been going here for about 5 years! Two happy pregnancies and babies later! I originally wanted a female dr but Dr. Garol was so awesome and same for Ruby his Medical Assistant. They know exactly who I am, ask about my kids, job etc. One time I showed up 2 hrs late for my appt thinking it was later than actually scheduled. I was told that if I wanted to be seen that day I would have to see a RN or reschedule with Dr. garol.

I said RN was okay and apologized for my unintentional tardiness. And who shows up in my room? Ruby and Dr. Garol! Love love love them. Yes it's a busy office. But I'm not complaining about taking the rest of the day off.

Obstetric treatment here is basically "pee in a cup, see you in a month." Office has a very hurry up and wait vibe about it, you'll be pushed from one room to another without time to lace your boots. Sam seems to be the only one that knows what to do in the office. I had someone call to ask for payment that I made two weeks prior and they laughed about it when I told them I paid it already - I didn't find that very professional.

Doctor Allen took two months to tell me my Vitamin D levels were low and then she referred me to the high risk pregnancy center ($$$) for what seem to be pretty routine ultrasounds. I was given the wrong information regarding genetic testing. No one listened to my concerns about giving birth in a hospital during COVID. The phlebotomist on staff is great, but they billed me twice for the same service - multiple times.

My insurance processed their claims and is only asking me to pay $256.00, but the office sent me a bill for $780.00, demanded I pay it asap, and threatened to cancel my appointment if I didnt. To which I replied PLEASE DO! I've been trying to get my medical records released to my new doctor for two weeks. I filled out the release form and have been calling every two days.

It seems like this would be a priority as we are kind of on a time limit here.! Office hours are also ridiculous for anyone that has a job: Monday- Thursday 8am - 4pm and closed a full hour for lunch every day. I made the mistake of calling about my records on my lunch break (12:07pm) and was told that "they're on lunch, the office is closed, call back at one", and she hung up on me.

They are only open until noon on Fridays. To be completely honest, finding a competent OBGYN in Reno has been an awful experience, especially during COVID. I wish all of you expectant mothers the best of luck!

I have been a patient here for over 2 years and was satisfied with my care as I have been lucky to have uncomplicated pregnancies because don't expect a doctor to spend any extra time. Many many many times I have had to wait in that office 40 minutes plus. Today I was 5 minutes late, 5 MINUTES LATE and was told I have to reschedule after taking time off work and finding childcare.

I find it pretty disgusting as I have waited hours and hours collectively throughout my 2 pregnancies. I will not be returning to this office again and will recommend that others find another option, but if you enjoy being treated like a number this is the perfect place for you.

I literally can not say enough great things about Dr. Dekay. I wish he could be my dr for everything. He is straight forward and to the point while also being compassionate. I had him as a dr for my first pregnancy and it was an amazing experience. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

I have been seeing Dr Garol for several years and I always feel like I get the best care. The front office staff are always so welcoming when I walk in. They give each patient prompt attention and make you feel like you're the most important. Ruby is the doctors medical assistant and she is so friendly. She is very knowledgeable and great at her job. Dr Garol always takes the time to explain everything to me and answers all my questions.

He speaks to me in terms that I understand and is always willing to take the extra minute to make sure I understand. I'm so thankful for him and all of the staff at OBGYN Associates.

I am currently expecting my first child and was referred to OB Gyn Associates from my primary care physician. I have been seeing Dr. Tippet since March and she is phenomenal. Every appointment I have had, she has made my fiance and I feel extremely comfortable-- she always answers all of our questions, is very informative when it comes to providing us with information regarding procedures, concerns, and anything that takes place during our appointments.

Her medical assistant Breesa is equally amazing. Every time I go to an appointment I feel extremely welcomed by the friendly staff and at home. The office does not have a typical "doctors office" feel to it-- I usually enjoy and look forward to my appointments as the staff is always so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Parking in the area can be tough if you are looking for street parking but there is a public parking garage on the backside of the building where you can park during your appointments so need not worry about fighting for a spot in the busy downtown of Reno.

Really tough to write a review for this place. Mostly because I am a great fan of my doctor here (Dr Mellum), but the fact that the time before getting to see the doctor is so painful. Making an appointment is normal. yes, the doctors are busy, so the average wait time to get in seems to be about 2 months. The really bad part comes when you arrive for your appointment. there is a line to get to the check in counter. then several pages of forms to fill in (even if this is not your first visit, or even the beginning of the year for new insurance).

Now you must wait again in line to turn those forms in. Then sit and wait even longer to be called back. Think you are done waiting? think again, , called back, get your weight checked, . now you get to sit and wait some more before getting assigned to a room. Alas you have made it to the patient room. you guessed it. more waiting. The doctors here must be so overbooked, they are not able to keep up with the appointments they are scheduled for.

For me a quick annual check up (that should take no more than 30 min) takes near 2 hours from arrival to departure. the overall feeling is that of being herded cattle. Not a good feeling. But to reiterate, I am happy with the service I receive from the Doctor and his nurses. Always happy to answer any questions I have, and friendly. just be prepared to wait.a lot.
