Horrible! You'll go blind before they answer the phone. Like many high-earners who run businesses, they will not hire staff to take care of the customers. It's bad enough they make returning patients wait as long as they do, but they harass you with advertisements the entire time you are on hold - which could be 15 minutes.

I tried to make an appt as a new patient here and the Boston office was not helpful at all. They said I needed a referral, so I had my PCP's office send one. I called the next day to follow up and they said someone would call as soon as they received the referral. I waited a few hours and didn't hear anything, so I called back. The person who I spoke to said "Oh yeah, we have your referral here." Okay, fine.

I inquired about making an appt because my left eye was inflammed and painful. They said they couldn't find anything available for the doctor I was referred to, but they would reach back out to me later once they got in touch with the doctor's other offices. I waited until 3pm and called back to see what was going on. I was on hold for 5 mins, then someone picked up and hung up one me.

So unprofessional. I ended up going to MEEI ER and they were able to help me. As of today, I still have not heard back from OCB. I did everything on my part and they did not follow through on their end.

OVERPRICED? THAT is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I spend less than a 20 minutes with my specialist and the charge is 975.00 REALLY? On what planet is that even nearly affordable? That is what happens when the Insurance companies are in bed with the medical companies. We need a revamping of healthcare in this country. Call it socialism, call it communism, call it whatever you want to. Plain and simple the Cost of HealthCare is Out of Control and completely insane!

I have tried to reach the Boston office numerous times to cancel my appointment for September and am left on hold with no one answering so am unable to cancel nor leave a message to cancel. So to the office as I cannot reach you, I will not be able to come to my appointment on September 21, 2021 with Dr. Shingleton. Please cancel this appointment. Thank you.

If you ever have ANY issues with you eyes, OCB is the place to go. Beyond excellent Doctors. Dr Jeffery Heier is the best. He saved the vision in my right eye, when my local Dr failed. The surgery centers staff is wonderful. Trust your eye health to the best. Your sight is precious. Go to OCB.

Horrible place overall. Fantastic dr. The wost staff on earth. I have lived all over the country. Worn gas perms for 25 years. Never ever had the office not just promptly order them! These guys say the optic shop will call me to pre pay. No one even mentioned this to me until I called them! They haven't. No one seems to have seen the order. I had a morning appt.

All my other eye drs would have ordered by end of day. It is not that hard.like a prescription. It's a two week order, with multiple iterations on fitting usually. The staff seems perplexed by this; do none of their patients wear complex gas perms? I am travelling for four months starting one month from now. The dr was very nice and positive, said theyd order right away, and we would get iterations done before I leave.

His staff seem like utter idiots who seem confused why I am trying to pay and get the order going the day after the appt. It is weird and bizarre. Yes I would like my.contacts ordered asap. Why on earth would that be surprising?

I had cataract surgery done just this past week. The entire team was competent and caring. I was made to feel as at ease as was possible and the results so far are excellent. I am very happy with the service. If I need the other eye done I will not hesitate to return.

HORRIBLE! Doctors are good but the wait time is crazy long. They screw up your insurance and they just sit around talking and waking around. Been waiting for over 2 hours just for a half hour worth of test/doctor time. Get ready to spend $$ on either tickets/parking cause you won't be here for a short time.

Tried to make a physician to physician referral for an established OCB patient for an urgent/acute visit with any provider. The triage secretary didn't recognize the name of the common acute eye problem and the manager wasn't willing to coordinate a visit even though there was an MD present in the suburb location. They did offer my elderly patient a visit in Boston clinic (patient goes to a suburb clinic, limited transportation) 3 days later for a problem that should be seen same day.
