Dr. Thoman has trained with many of the leading experts in the surgical fields of implants, orthognathic surgery, cleft lip and palate, pathology and reconstruction as well as facial trauma. Since starting his practice in 1992, Dr. Thoman has strived to provide that same level of exceptional care that his patients deserve.

Wisdom teeth are molars found in the very back of your mouth. They usually appear in the late teens or early twenties but may become impacted (fail to erupt) due to lack of room in the jaw or angle of entry. The most common type of impacted wisdom tooth is "mesial, " which means the tooth is angled forward toward the front of your mouth.
Dr. Kofford is passionate about oral surgery and providing unrivaled care to his patients. From an early age, he was taught the value of pursuing excellence. In dental school, this motivation allowed him to be inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity a group reserved for those who graduated at the top of their respective dental class.

Excellent care. Dr Kofford saw my 12 year old son to expose an impacted canine as part of his orthodontic treatment. He took his time to explain everything and answer any question, he made us and my son feel like he was the only patient in the clinic even though I'm sure he was busy with several other patients. He has a great personality and demeanor which put my son at ease. Could not be more pleased with the treatment, will definitely be going back for any future oral surgery treatment needs for my other kids.

I could not recommend this place more. I had been having problems with a tooth for several days and was able to see my regular dentist first thing Monday morning. When they were unable to take care of the problem they referred me to Drs. Thoman and Kofford. My dentist office called them for me to schedule an appointment and they got me in within 2 hours.
Everyone was so caring and compassionate knowing I was in pain. I saw Dr. Kofford who explained everything thoroughly to me, gave me time to make a decision on what to do and by early afternoon had removed the offending tooth right then and there. Dr. Kofford called later that evening to follow up, Fabulous service all the way around. Thank you all so much!

The BEST! Dr. Thoman and staff were incredible. I had a procedure for wisdom teeth extractions. Make sure to get a consultation closer to your appointment date of surgery to make things easier on both ends. They get your script right away and that way you can make sure to have any antibiotics started 1 hour before surgery with any pain pills like Aleve.
I went under(anesthesia) which again the staff was great and Dr Thoman incredible. Read the after instructions to know a lot of things are normal after surgery like using gauze for bleeding gums is normal. The best part is no one(family, public, etc.) noticed any swelling facially and no pain during, right after, or even 24 hours later. Highly recommend!

I was incredibly impressed with the time Dr. Kofford took to talk with us before surgery. My daughters had lots of questions and concerns and the Doctor answered every one of them with honesty and patience. He never seemed rushed but was very understanding of each of their worries and was so kind. We felt like he was very friendly and my daughters were put at ease once they had a full explanation as to what will happen on surgery day. As a parent, I feel very confident allowing him to remove my daughters' wisdom teeth.

I was very impressed with how the prosses of our sons wisdom teeth surgery went. Dr. Thoman and his staff helped us to feel very informed and comfortable. My son was extremely nervous about surgery and the "going under" part. He was having some anxiety as the procedure started but by allowing me to stay in the room (which is not normally allowed) just until my son was all the way under sedation, helped my son to not totally panic.
I had to stay quiet and stay out of the Dr's way but just me being able to touch my sons leg to let him know I was still with him helped calm him. As soon as he was under sedation I left the room immediately so they could do their jobs without me there and within 45 min they were done. He did great and has continued to heal nicely. I was SUPER IMPRESSED when I got a call later on that night by Dr. Thoman himself to check on how my son was doing. I highly recommend this office.
