What I liked about Dr. Tatum is she didn't rush me to surgery on my shoulder for which my injury lead to that possibility. She suggested that we try therapy first and after 3 sessions I am seeing remarkable improvement. Her explanation of the her plan for me was easy to understand and thorough.

Dr. Forrester has been my Doctor for 8 years. He replaced my knee. He also repaired my husbands shoulder and replaced my mothers hip. This visit was for bursitis and I received a cortisone shot. He is a very good and caring Doctor.

The staff is friendly for the most part. My rating is based on how hard it's been to get my medicine after surgery. I had a spinal fusion and was prescribed medication for nerve pain. The doctor had to increase my dose due to my pain. It's a constant game of phone tag to get refills. The doctor told me twice in the office that the medication would be called in and it wasn't.

I called the next day and was told sorry we called in it today. I finally called my pharmacy after not hearing about my prescription and they had no record of it. It should not be up to the recovering patient in pain to make sure medicine is getting called in. This has been the most frustrating part of my recovery. They need to come up with a better system.

Dr. Tatum really pays attention not only to the test results but to the patient and the patients over all health when providing her opinion and care. She bases her treatment plan on what is best for the patient. She listens to the patient and helps them make the best decision on treatment. I would highly recommend her to anyone - especially if they have underlying medical conditions that could affect treatment of an injury.

The facility was clean and inviting, and all of the nurses were absolutely wonderful! Dr. Tatum explained everything to me perfectly before my surgery and was totally transparent about what was going on. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to have surgery done.

For almost 2 years, Dr Martens worked to get my right ankle and foot working again. During that time, Doc and I became friends of sort. This made it easier for me. I could ask him anything about my foot and ankle and he would be totally up front with me about recovery time, pain level to expect, and anything else I would want to know. I'm gonna miss him and it will be hard for.you to find a replacement with his skill and caring.

Yesterday was the first time since 1983 that I walked through these doors and knew Frank Mannarino wasn't there. I'd been dreading his retirement for years, and although I fervently wish he was still there, I received the same high level of care that I have enjoyed over the past 38 years. It is with great confidence that I continue to strongly recommend this practice.

First time going to the Orthopedic Institute of Dayton and unfortunately will be my last. Several ladies at the receptionist desk. The one I dealt with (all white hair) was not friendly at all. Not just with me, but with everyone I observed her checking in. The other ladies seemed a bit nicer. They did xrays, which no one ever addressed so I assume they were ok.

The PA (a young guy) was great. Not a bad word about him. Dr. Paley comes in (for about 2 mins) and instantly suggests a nerve damage test and possible surgery on what I know is a simple case of tennis elbow (I've had it for yrs) All I needed was a shot of cortisone. The reason I know this is I went all the way back to Louisville the next day, to the Louisville Hand Center, best in the country, and got a shot and I'm fine. Diagnosis: Tennis elbow.

Back to Dr. Paley's office, the ladies at the check out were so unorganized. Dr. Paley said Danielle had my chart but once I found my way to the check out, no one could find Danielle or my chart. The one girl up there, was just standing around and an actual patient filling out papers, told her a group of us was waiting. There was about 5 of us. Unorganized & chaotic.

The doctor I saw very good. The office staff for billing is a nightmare. Still have unresolved billing issues. The billing and insurance office is horrible. If you have insurance changes they may drop you. That may be the reason my doctor isn't in that group anymore.

This is the 3rd replacement surgery Dr. Forster has performed on me. I have had 2 hip replacements and now a knee. My experience has been outstanding @ OID! All of his staff have been friendly and helpful as well as very accommodating. Dr. Forster and his PA, Sheela Patel, are WONDERFUL! They are very professional, yet personable. They take time to answer all your questions and make sure you understand everything in detail. Dr. Forster's work is amazing and I have had extraordinary results from the 2 hip replacements and am on track to full recovery with my most recent surgery with the knee. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Forster, his staff and OID!

I was a bit apprehensive in my first meeting with Dr. Hoskins. I had heard that he could be a bit abrupt. I was completely surprised. He cut to the chase, as it were, and made his referral as he saw it. His explanation was concise, and I had no trouble whatsoever trusting his judgment. He was polite, without rancor, and not bossy! I couldn't have been more pleased in my treatment. Orthopedic Institute of Dayton is staffed with knowledgeable, educated people who are empathetic and take the time to explain their assessment to the patient. It is a class A establishment.

Absolutely, love this practice. Dr. Martens has gone out of his way to fix my ankle as much as possible, so that we could prolong replacement. He has a great bedside manner and is always happy to see his patients.

Dr Hodges has been one of the best doctors I have ever dealt with! I see a lot of doctors and he has been my favorite by far. He is so caring and takes the time to actually explain things to you. I am a practice manager for a medical office, and I can say that good doctor's like him are hard to find anymore. He is one of a kind for sure!

First rate medical care with Dr Paley and his team. I have full confidence and trust in Dr Paley. I have unfortunately had to have multiple surgeries due to arthritis issues. Dr Paley has performed all with excellent results each time. I would highly recommend Dr Paley and the Orthopedic Institute Of Dayton.

Dr Hoskins is not for his patients. While he did a good job on my husbands back in surgery his bed side manner when there is a problem is mortifying. He is rude, accusatory, and thinks everyone on bwc is out to be lazy and get rich. When a test proves otherwise he states there must be something wrong with it because he doesnt see a problem. Dont expect good office notes from this dr because he will leave things out as to why you make the decisions you do. He twists it to fit the narrative that you must be a person looking for a hand out because youre on workers comp.

I interviewed 2 other doctors/practices before deciding on Dr Martens and OID for my two recent foot surgeries. I was impressed with the staff at OID and Dr Martens' skill, knowledge, and expert care; pre & post surgery. Scheduling was made easy and recovery has been as expected. Dr Martens is easy to communicate with; his scheduler as well. The techs are all very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend OID and Dr Martens. I have Friends and acquaintances who have shared their success stories with other OID doctors.

While Dr. Martens was great and helped my broken foot heal adequately, I could never get back in for an appointment to deal with the extreme swelling and pain afterwards. His scheduler constantly put me off, saying I didn't need another appointment. In addition, after almost two months, I was called to notify me that they don't take my type of insurance, after being referred there and being told they did. Also, the CAT scan that was ordered was incorrectly set up, and I ended up having to go back for a second one.

In the end, I went to another doctor who immediately explained all the issues causing the swelling and pain, and started me on physical therapy, which has completely resolved the pain and swelling. No reflection on Dr. Martens' professional and friendly care, the staff seems to be rather incompetent.

Worst experience I have ever had in my 60 years of age, broke a wrist and damaged a shoulder, Doctors seem pretty competent but the ladies working the front counter and records section and the office manager need training and maybe the doctors should ask there patients about rudeness, not getting a callback, requesting MRI disk and being labeled that but actually being xrays, not informing patients about there doctors being thirty minutes late for appointments, not returning calls to different hospitals, I could go on but would not ever recommend some taking there loved ones there, call if you need more info 937/630/2268

Have been suffering with foot pain for over four years. Incurred an accident in September 2018 that aggravated foot pain and created leg pain. Finally decided to go to the doctors for the ongoing pain. Dr. James P. Martens acted rushed and annoyed with me. He gave me only four minutes of his time indicating that I need therapy. After seeing me he went into a room adjacent to me and apologized to that patient for seeing me and making them wait.

He was with that patient the length of time it took the nurse to come back in to give me a script for therapy, which was longer than my appointment. What a waste of time and money.

Dr. Martens did surgery on my foot that was pretty well Infested with arthritis and bone spurs. I am completely impressed with the office staff, Becky his coordinator and Dr. Martens himself. I waited a long time to have this surgery because I have met some really awful surgeons. I am so happy that I did wait. I couldn't be happier with the results!

Everyone heals differently. If you don't follow the directions and do the follow up, you will not be successful. I would recommend this organization to anyone, and have.

Does not deserve any stars, and is mostly for a specific doctor, Dr. Nitz. He performed a rotator cuff debridement and repair on my mom two months ago. The surgery was said to be a success, but as her nerve block wore off she had persistent numbness in her forearm and pain in her upper arm just above the elbow. While doing physical therapy, her shoulder healed well, but her arm has not regained any feeling and she still has persistent pain.

When she brought this up during her initial follow-up appointment with Dr. Nitz, he commented that "it's not like we cut your nerve in half or something" and continued to be rude to my mother, trying to refer her to pain management rather than attempting to find out what may have happened to her arm. During her second follow-up appointment today, he was incredibly condescending to her the entire time, telling her that her pain was "all in [her] head" and that she simply needed to change her mindset, and proceeded to try and convince her she had done something wrong during the rehab process despite following his instructions to a T with my assistant and oversight.

I have never seen my mother in such intense, continuous pain in my entire life, and it has rendered her dominant arm virtually useless. Rather than attempting to help her in any way, Dr. Nitz has been brushing off her statements as false or psychological and has offered no explanation, only continuing to thrust pain management referrals in her face.

I don't think they deserve even one star.actually it's a particular doctor at this clinic that i'd like to review: Dr. Kim. He performed both an Ulner and a Carpel Tunnel surgery on my husbands right arm. Here's the issue. My husbands surgery was performed at 2pm and he was released from the center at approx. 3:45-4:15pm after having been put in a sling with directions to return for his post op in a week.

We arrived home at approx 5pm and as i was preparing dinner, my husband, who was sitting at the table, looked down as asked what was all over the table? It was blood! Apparently the Ulner surgery, which had an approx 6-8inch incision, had opened up and as we found out later its because there were no sutures or steri stips placed on the incision as well as the fact that the doctor had directed the staff to put him in a sling!.This wound was dripping blood!

Problem 1- it was 5:15 when i called the doctor who would not return to see him!, 2- he told him to go to emerg ( a 300$ charge),o r urgent care who would not see him. In the end I had to put a pressure bandage on his wound! Thank GOD i knew something about what i was doing. This is reprehensible in my opinion. When my husband saw him the following morning and they changed the bandage and put on steri strips my husband took a picture.there was a gaping wound. This was supposed to heal within 7-10 days and 4 weeks later it was still bleeding. We will never use this group again nor will we ever reccommend them to anyone

The one star rating is only if you have Premier health insurance. They have very limited access to the Premier Health facilities and you will be waiting 6 weeks to get a surgery that should have been done in a week. Wonderful people if you have other insurance. Just wish they had told me this when I furnished them my insurance info so I could have gone somewhere that could have helped me in a timely fashion
