I've spent my entire career working to make other lives better. I've helped international superstar professional athletes get back to the top of their game, and I've helped recreational athletes be able to keep playing the sports they love. I've helped toddlers with troubles learning to walk. I've helped grandmothers and grandfathers keep living active lives for many more years.

I'm proud to have helped many of our U.S. soldiers return to full duty. And I want to help you, too. I especially enjoy Sports Medicine, Children's Orthopedics, and problems of the Knee, Hip, and Shoulder, including Arthroscopic Surgery and Total Joint Replacement.

The services that I receive from Dr Parr is excellent. Dr. Parr and the staff are friendly and ensure that I am properly informed about my health and care. Appreciate Dr. Parr taking time to go over the diagnosis clearly and treatment. Was referred over by my PCP Dr. Ajani and can see why. Highly recommended.

Dr. Parr is an amazing surgeon with fantastic technical skill as well as a warm bedside manner. He saw me after another surgeon screwed up my joint replacement and ended up doing a quad reconstruction, giving me 120 degree flexion back after I came to him with 60. I am forever indebted to him for this but he continues to provide exceptional care to me for all my orthopedic needs.

Dr. Parr and Dr. Mier are both top notch orthopedic MDs. I have taken my athletic family to Dr. Parr for 2 decades and recently had to see Dr. Mier for a foot injury. He has a great bedside manner and is a knowledgeable physician, he and his assistant did a wonderful job taking care of me.

Tom Parr is the most competent Doctor and the nicest person you will ever meet. He reset a broken leg that didn't heal correctly after being treated by a highly recommended orthopedic surgeon. He did a total knee replacement for me 3 or 4 years ago and I am planning on scheduling a second knee replacement on the other knee with him next month. He listens to what you have to say and always encourages alternate treatments before resorting to surgical solutions.

I have sent 10 or 12 people to him and received a handwritten thank you from him each time. After one of my surgeries he called me at home to make sure I was doing okay. What can I say? He is a wonderful Doctor and a real, caring human being. Anyone who goes to him will be treated well I also like his office staff. Joyce Miller

Dr. Parr is absolutely fantastic! As a health care provider myself, I only hope that my patients feel the same compassion that I felt from Dr. Parr that he offered to me. He is absolutely the best orthopedist in the Houston area, no questions asked.

I was worried about my daughter's flat feet and found Dr Parr online. Even though we had an appointment and arrived early, we had to wait for about an hour to see the doctor. The doctor was really nice but wasn't very helpful. He looked at her feet and watched her run up and down the hall. Then he said surgery wouldn't do much and suggested getting insoles (I later could not find any child sized insoles).

That short visit cost about $150 without insurance. A year later, my daughter's new pediatrician referred her to a pediatric physical therapist. At that appointment, measurements were taken of her range of motion and muscle strength around her ankles. We were given exercises to strengthen her feet and arch, weekly PT appointments, and custom insoles. It was then that I realized Dr Parr could have made a similar referral and gotten her more help.

Dr Parr did a full hip replacement a little over a year ago. He has a wonderful bedside manner. He is not in a rush to push you out the door. He is very competent and if i ever need another surgery i know where to go. He did an outstanding job and put my fears to rest. The office personal were very nice and kind as well. I Highly recommend Dr Parr!

Because we are new to the area i let them pick the hospital for me. It was a nice experience. The nursing staff was thoughtful and kind. If i could give him more star's i would.

Excellent service is always provided by Dr. Parr. I had sharp knee pains for the longest time, and he gave me simple exercises that did the trick to fix it. He genuinely cares about each of his patient and is not out there to get money out of you. I definitely trust him, and you will not be disappointed if you go to him.

Dr. Parr, is going to be performing my knee replacement in October of 2014. This will be my 2nd knee that I'm having replaced. My first one was done in Atlanta. Earlier this year, I developed a bad infection in my knee that required me to stay in the hospital for a week, and then on antibiotics for 6 weeks through a PIC line. Dr. Parr was with me for the entire event, and I never, ever felt that he was not in tune with my care, my well-being, and my recovery process.

My first knee I was petrified with fear, but because of Dr. Parr's attitude, his bedside manner, and his personality I am at total ease with my up-coming surgery. His nursing staff is GREAT! I enjoy visiting with them, every time I'm there, and we always share a laugh or two. The office staff is excellent, and they always have a warm smile when you walk in.

I have the utmost respect for Dr. Parr as he is a fellow Veteran and I am so thankful for his service, and you can tell that he's very proud to be part of the military. I care very much for Dr. Parr, and I'm blessed, and very thankful that our paths have crossed. You will not find a more caring, understanding, and thorough Orthopedic Surgeon anywhere else in Texas who is up to date on the latest Orthopedic procedures, surgical standards, and the latest technological advances in prosthetic devices. Thank you Dr. Parr, for allowing me to be your patient.
