E.R. is WONDERFUL, but do NOT stay! I was sent upstairs for 3 days and was refused my epilepsy medications, never had an IV, and vomiting was never measured or treated. MAYBE saw a nurse twice in 3 days and that was because my wife called them in. Left after 3rd day-- NOT discharged, LEFT. MY neurologist said it was the Best decision we made in those 3 days.

Although my day surgery had to be re-scheduled, all of the employees that I met at the outpatient surgery center were friendly, helpful and constantly checking to make sure that I was comfortable and that my needs were being met. It has been one month since my first review. My surgery was performed 2 days ago and I can say that I am very pleased with every aspect of my experience.

Everyone from the check-in person, the anesthetist and especially my attending nurse, who was there for me following my surgery, made me feel comfortable and relieved any anxiety that I had. Kudos to the whole staff.

I was brought it by ambulance from a bad car accident. I had a wound on my head, and forehead. it definitely needed stitches, instead they glued it, didn't even clean it before they did so. And poured glue all over my hair. They left me for hours with tons of dried blood all over my face. I had horrible pain in my ribs and could barley breathe, I thought for sure they were broken. no X-ray was ordered, when it definitely should have been considering I was in a car accident.

I didn't even talk to the doctor. The doctor did not even come in to look at me at all. I was only seen by a nurse, and the nurse talked to me horrible and didn't have any care in the world. My results were never explained to me. All that was said was "your fine" and got discharge papers thrown at me. Didn't even give me anything for the pain considering I had head wounds, a BAD concussion, and a whole bruised body.

I went to a different hospital a couple days later after I went home and couldn't bare the pain anymore, NORTH WEST FAILED ME IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE. I am very unhappy with the lack of care this hospital has given me. The worst hospital experience I have EVER had. The staff has no care for human life. Medical negligence!

All I have to say is the nurses were not helpful towards my loved one who has Cancer in their liver because they told me they pressed the button when you called the nurse and they didn't respond or came back into our room, very irresponsible but they also told me the rooms are nice when they have air conditioning and heating when they're having a bad time.

There are some nice nurses that I met and they are very nice and we have a good chat. My response is neutral because it is bad and good depending how you see it. They were also wrong about my love One who told them, they only lived two years or months but they are still alive. I'm still confused about this hospital.

Madison is a great therapist. She explains everything and shows how it is done. Then gives you written instructions so you remember when you get home. I made great improvement the first week. The others in the office that I came in contact with were friendly and helpful.

Had a wonderful experience from the moment I walked in to the ER, to labor and delivery, to discharge. Every nurse, doctor, and staff member was friendly, helpful and compassionate towards me, my family, and my newborn. It was a great experience and I'm thankful for these wonderful people who made everything so easy. It allowed me to enjoy time with my baby.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My mother in law is 48 and has stage 4 stomach cancer and she went into Northwest for stomach pain. Dr. Nazim said that she had a perforated bowel and told her she needed to go on hospice when we thought the cancer was going away according to her last CT scans at her Oncology office in Plano, Tx. Dr. Nazim was extremely rude and dismissive to my mother in law and our family in the room saying "do you even speak English?" She had to travel 6 hours to Dallas and turns out, she doesn't in fact have a perforated bowel and doesn't need hospice.

Nothing really has changed with her CT scans. This doctor played with people's lives. Our whole family were losing our minds because we thought our mom, sister, aunt, and granddaughter was on her death bed. This experience was traumatic when it really didn't need to be and because of the Dr's incompetent assumptions, someone's life was messed with. We will not be returning and will be reporting to whomever it concerns.

So the place is packed. And I get that with Covid and all. I also understand the fact that all these people are coming in here and you get overwhelmed. It costs nothing to be nice. But the intake nurse was absolutely awful. We came in with a possibly broken hip. And we're told well it's gonna be a long time. It's not like we can just go home and hope it gets better. Just pure rudeness and negative attitude from the staff. We actually need a hospital in Amarillo that cares.

I was very upset with the care i received. I went in with chest pain and shortness of breath and the doctor completely dismissed me. Made me feel like I was crazy for coming in. Acted like he had 0 time for me and barely even gave me an exam. I had been sick for an entire week and had been to three doctors before that with no relief. Covid, flu, strep negative. Then he tried to mansplain to me why I tested negative for all 3. Don't recommend if you want the doctors to take you seriously.

Recently went in and had a Covid swab done. The nurse at the front, older lady was very rude, and unequivocally non compassionate towards anyone who seeked medical attention. Passing judgement and telling people "you don't come to the ER for everything".I do have to need to say though when others were around, only then was she attentive, compassionate to the patient. Dr. Babb gave me my results stating I was negative and I could go.

My mother was there with me and stated 2x "we can go?" He said yes, no discharge papers, to sign or state why we were there. I had a high temp and was groggy. I myself didn't question when he stated we could go. Not until I got home I received a text saying I could access my records through their portal. So I did, and when reading my results, I did have Covid!

I called back and asked to verify and the lady in the ER she then verified as well. 2 days later My employer needed a return to work release paper, so I called and they said you can come up to the ER and we will print out a new one. Well guess who the nurse was? Yep! the same lady, when I asked for the note she stated " you should've gotten all that when you left" she did not look up my file nor verify who I was, just hand printed a note, might I add with the wrong dates stating when I could return to work.

I don't know why both the nurse and doctor behaved this way, and I don't wish to make assumptions. I do however know I have never in my life received any type of treatment from medical professionals like this. I pray these 2 have better days.

Maegan is amazing at what she does. My daughter has been going to have since she was about 5 months old. We had a little break after she graduated from physical therapy. She is now 3 and back with Maegan. My daughter absolutely loves her and can't wait for her appointment! I would recommend Maegan 100% she is the best!

I am writing to thank the awesome nurses who gave fabulous service to my Husband from January 7-11, 2022. We arrived to the Northwest Texas Emergency Room at 3:30 p.m. on January 7, 2022 and were back to prep for surgery by 4:45 p.m. The staff and Nurses who took care of him in the ER were great. Dr. Yohey Hashimoto performed appendix surgery on at 6:15 p.m. that evening and finished approximately two hours and 40 minutes later.

He was in recovery about 45 minutes and moved to the fifth floor, Room 562 on Friday night. Again, the Nurses were fantastic! He encountered a bit of AFIB due to surgery and anesthesia on Saturday morning, so he was moved to the ICU-Surgical, Room 219. We cannot say enough about the "Rock Star" Nurses (Maggie, Carla, Jennifer and Michelle) who deeply love their patients and go out of their way to ensure the patients' health and well-being!

How blessed we were to actually witness these fabulous Nurses in action! After two nights in the ICU-Surgical, January 8-9, 2022, he was moved to the fourth floor, Room 464 on Monday morning. And again, the Nurses were fantastic! He spent one night in Room 464 and was able to check out on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. We are extremely grateful for the superior care given to him during his four-night stay at Northwest Texas Hospital. We will definitely shout out our recommendation!

Friendly and professional staff greeted my wife and I explained process clearly. It was a stressful situation and yet not life threatening. The check in went well. Several individuals were in the waiting room all wearing masks. They all appeared to have been helped as we were. Our screener was helpful and asked all questions clearly and asked for clarification if needed.

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) was just as helpful and confident and competent. My wife did not think her injury needed assistance however, the NP asked the Physician on duty to look at her wound and told her she needed treatment. The registration staff came immediately and got her checked in and ready. Our discharge information was handed by the RN again in a clear and professional manner.

We had questions about costs and before we left all was explained and answers clearly stated by the Business staff member. We could not have had a better experience. We left and still have the confidence we had the best treatment we could have received.

Staff attentive and personable. I know the staff is very busy and stressed at this time but all were very friendly, patient and efficient. Macy is a great IV starter! My thanks and appreciation to all the NW ER staff!

Everyone was so very nice, starting at the door where they take your temperature. My first time being treated at this hospital, it was a wonderful experience! Thank you to all in the Endoscopy Department, you all were so nice. God Bless and a very Merry Christmas and New Year!

My husband was hospitalized from 7/28 to 9/2 2021 at this facility with covid. My comment is not for the care he received. It is for the lack of compassion for billing. Our bill for ICU was approximately $850,000. Our insurance paid the contracted amount in full. It left a deductible that was owed by us of about 6k. However, my husband is now disabled due to covid.

The only options they give is for a payment plan for the total, or a 30% deduction if you can pay in full. The issue we have is that if you are disabled from covid, you obviously are not going back to work. Also.they said if we were uninsured, our bill would have been waived. So they are telling me that they got a huge pay out from our insurance but couldn't waive the 6k for us to not face financial devastation bc they were paid?

But if they hadn't gotten anything at all from our insurance, they would have waived the entire $850k? How does that make sense? This screams scam. Please speak up if you have had the same issue!

My daughter was in the hospital for 5 days. Admitted through ER to a floor. Everyone that I came in contact with from the ER personal to the nurses, food service and housekeeping on the floor were very polite, kind and helpful. Hope to never have to visit here again but if I do I know I will feel welcomed.

Nurse Practitioner was dismissive of me, didn't take a history or even touch me/look in my throat when my complaint was a sore throat. When I said my pain was 7/10 and that's why I came to urgent care instead of waiting a week for my PCP. She was judgmental and instead of helping me just sent me home and said I should drink tea. 3 weeks later I am still sick.

I took my significant other here. He was in extreme pain. We got there 7:45pm and didn't leave until 1:15 am. The people are greedy and only care about money. They made sure that they get his information before they took his vitals or anything. We shared a bathroom with an inmate from the prison. When the nurse walked in she called him by the wrong name and lost his papers. If he had insurance then we would've gone to BSA. Avoid going there if you can.

The care my mother received in the E.R. was pitiful. She came in at 10:30 a.m. and was not given a room until 11:30 p.m. My mother is not a complainer but the pain management that she received for her 2 cysts on her ovaries was not what you would expect. One nurse came in and tried to give her ibuprofen. Luckily my sister stopped her before she even got it opened.

The doctor who admitted he had gone home of course by the time she got her room and did not respond for hrs after being called to see if she could be given something stronger. The next day we were assured that she would not be sent home without getting her pain under control. This assurance lasted a whole day and they wanted to release her the next day.

Student doctors are rude and think they know everything. If medicare was accepted at BSA we would have taken her there. Thankfully I got her an appointment to the mayo clinic within a week. when asked about having her medical records sent to mayo, the staff was horribly rude and made sure we were aware that we would be charged for that as well. The compassion that you would expect when going through something as scary as this was not there for my mother. Avoid this place if at all possible.

Stopped here at the ER on a road trip after smashing finger in car door. Staff was very friendly, facility was clean, wait time wasn't bad, and the doctor was very knowledgeable (I think his name was Fred and last name started with a P). He patched up my finger which included a mini surgery to remove fingernail (what was left) and sent on my way with a splint. Overall a great team that did a great job when I was in a bad situation.

The staff was fine. But the business office will send you to the poor house. I told them to bill the VA as I am 100% service connected. Instead they chose to bill "medicade". They lied saying they can't. Now I have to get a lawyer to fix this as they must hate either Veterans or the VA.

My mother was admitted 3 weeks ago after having a stroke. The first three days were fine, except she was moved 3 times. Fourth day she went to CICU. The nurses were fine in the beginning but became more & more lax as time passed. She was in CICU for about 6 days, just one day after extubated. The biggest issue with this hospital is the way the doctors & nurses are assigned.

She has not had one or even a set of doctors that follow her. Every wing/room a new set of doctors. Nurses constantly changing as well. I order to speak with a doctor, one must just camp-out in the patient's room. Also, NWTHS is supposed to have a stroke center; however, there is no neurologist on staff. I do not recommend.

What a horrible experience. An ER that missed conditions that placed my family MEM ever in the, then ICU nurses that cared more about talking to each other than alarms. Complained to the manager who seemed unable to effect any change at all. Nurses more concerned about charting than taking care of patients.

I went there this morning because I was having chest pains. They drew blood and did x rays and came back 4 hours later and informed me nothing was wrong but they wasn't 100 percent sure. Nurse didn't know how to draw blood almost everyone was rude with exception of the guy who brought me my discharge papers. I don't know his name. The nurse I saw was named Shane and he had absolutely no bedside manner.

The doctor was named Stephen Neumann. This is some of the worst care I ever got. I see why everyone says go to Lubbock. I can't comment on BSA however as I've never been there. Please don't go here.
